Purchased a singer sewing machine. It was malfunctioning out of the box. Tried to return it but they neglected to tell me electronics cannot be returned. Singer website says purchases made in store must be returned to that store. So I have a $350 sewing machine that can't be returned.

I used to like the St Cloud MN store. However, since the manager has been replaced, the store has really gone downhill. Nothing is stocked on the shelves. There are boxes in the isle. I understand it is an old building, but product could at least be put away. Just waiting for the fire marshal to come and close the store
Bad experience became GREAT experience
Bad experience became GREAT experience. The Joann website had some time sensitive Daily Deal Drops that weren't reflecting the sale price when put in the cart. I sent an email, but didn't hear back until the next day, when the other sale had ended. I was informed that there must have been a glitch, and they asked if I could provide screen shots. Luckily, I had taken them, so I sent them. Realizing that there was an issue, they were able to credit my order to reflect the discounted price. AND, since I picked-up in store, I also got an additional 20% off the original order. So, it took a couple of emails, but they were apologetic, and helped resolve my issue quickly. Very pleased!

I ordered 2 items online and only one has been shipped. The other has been sitting in process for days. I called about the other item and customer service said I would get a notice if it does ship but I wouldn't receive it most likely until September 17th and I ordered it on September 2nd. That's unacceptable. Both items should have been shipped together. It's no wonder why you are going bankrupt. You don't care about the customer.

I went to the store in Warrington. They were advertising 50% off items for fall. Got a couple of straw bale 20 inches and I was charged 6.99 for each one instead of the advertised price of 3.99. This store does not care about customers let alone honoring the price advertised at the store.

Joann online ordering awful
By far the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. Has nothing to do with in person store and everything to do with online services. When I checked out my cart online there was no option for shipping so I assumed it was the next screen. Nope it pulled from a credit card which apparently had an old address I no longer have access to. They ship via FedEx and the option they select to ship is completely unavailable for me to change my shipping address nor opt for a fedex location pick up. The customer service agent at Joann just gave me a broken record of you may return your items on arrival. We cannot change a shipping address due to potential fraud… really? If I can give you the confirmation and info on the card used to ship then I should be able to change an address before the item ever ships. I contacted within minutes of the mistake. I’ll be taking buisness elsewhere after this experience. Do better.

My cashier happened to be store manager. I have written several great reviews to headquarters regarding Diane (even when she was with Michaels). She is very helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. She has a great attitude and personality. Her store is neat and organized.
She is a great employee to the company.
Orders to wrong address
Twice they sent my orders to my previous address, which is an apartment complex. I have no way of retrieving either I used my current address on both orders when submitted. After contacting customer service was told "we can't change an order after it's submitted??". I'm disgusted! Asked for a refund: denied. I will never purchase anything from Joann again.
My Visit To Joann Store #2144
I visited Joann store #2144 - Pembroke Pines location - on 7/2/24 to purchase some fabric; and, my experience with having Store Assistant, Gretchen Mendez, assist me was amazing. Apart from loving the fabrics I bought, and always loving to check out the beautiful and affordable products at Joann's from time to time, I had the most satisfying encounter with Gretchen. It was evident to me that customer satisfaction is one of Gretchen's priorities. This lady represented the Company at the highest level of customer care. Gretchen was very engaging, patient, caring, kind, courteous, personable, cheerful, pleasant, professional, efficient, quick without compromising the length of time I needed to complete my purchase, passionate about her job and company, very knowledgeable, and more. She never ignored the other customers, standing in line, but, in a caring manner, kept assuring them she'd be with them momentarily, while, always giving me the required attention. She provided me the same courtesy of assuring me she'd be with me shortly, when I waited in line. That gesture made me feel valued, and any impatience I might have had was allayed. It was evident to me as well that the customers who waited appreciated that they were being acknowledged. Gretchen's assistance in choosing my fabric enabled me to secure the most appropriate items. Gretchen is an asset to the Joann Company and a gem for customers. She is a keeper and fully understands the importance of exceptional customer service to foster customer satisfaction and secure returning customers. Thank you Gretchen. I wish you exponential growth with Joann Fabrics, as you continue to enrich your customers' experiences while lending to the success of the Joann Company.

Good and bad service .
Well I went during the day / on a weekday since I love to browse in the store . I was disappointed they have ANY Rowetta irons . I had bought 2 here before . Some irons were behind the counter but my experience with this young male associate at the register ( I had just asked for a price check from ) seemed to not want to be bothered and hated his jobI ) so I lost interest !
Thank God for the girl “Rachel ! ? She was a BLESSING .. helpful as can be and answered 8 -different -questions !! What a great employee !! Please commend her !!

Overall they have good sale prices. Customer service was excellent. The store in Plantation FL, needs to hire a janitorial service to keep the restrooms clean. This is why the store gets only 4 stars.
It Doesn't Have to be This Way
My most recent visit was June 3, 2024 at the Tallahassee store. As usual, the floor was filthy throughout the store. I took a picture but it appears this site doesn't utilize them. The lighting is very poor and the employees appear apathetic. On occasion, one is helpful. You would expect their Corporate to take notice of so many negative reviews and make an effort to improve the brand image and reputation. Good business starts at the top. So does bad.
FIX online ordering!!!!!!!!
First thing....FIX online ordering. I've tried to place two separate orders today. First one I had to end up calling company cause the store people can't answer questions. Second order I had to Xout of the app and use the internet (hope I don't get hacked). I've used Joann's for years and because I have mobility issues the curbside pick-up is great...once you can get the order placed. They know they have you at their mercy...we don't have a lot of options. I'm pretty frustrated right now.
