JHMOTORSPORTS are Thieves
After the first horrible experience with XLR8PERFORMANCE, trying to buy the complete clutch kit with forged flywheel, I found the exact parts through Urotuning, and they didn't try to change the price after payment cleared my bank, as XLR8PERFORMANCE did. So I figured it may be a good start. I received my parts and everything was complete. I thought I was finally able to replace the clutch. By this time it was August. Parked the car and ordered parts the first time end of May beginning of June. The car ran perfectly. While I was waiting for parts, I had time to change the oil, filter, plugs, VC gaskets flush cooling system change transmission and rearend fluid, new cam sensors, crank sensor, coolant temp sensor. All of the suspension and mounts had been replaced within the last 6 months. So I shouldn't have to do much to it for a while after fixing the clutch. After getting together, it wouldn't start, but it did turn over. I sent many text, to see if JHM had any suggestions.... I was told everything from the bolts were incorrect (they were included in the kit) to the tune was a bad tune( it was their tune). They said that I installed the flywheel wrong.... not possible. Then they wouldn't give any response. When it was turning over, it made a sound kind of like a back fire, and it stopped totally. I took it back apart. Started comparing the flywheel with the original and noticed the ring that the crank sensor picks up, was not the same. The window is 20° off. So the crank sensor was giving incorrect information to the computer, which was affecting the fuel delivery and spark. I pulled the plugs, they were wet. Started looking in the spark plug hole with a bore scope and noticed #6 piston was shattered and laying in the bottom. It appears to be in about 5-6 pieces. The top of the rod has no damage, there's no shavings in the oil, and all 5 valves are in working order. That is proof that it wasn't running at the time of failure, along with other parts show no signs of damage from interference. I was recording live data at the time, monitoring everything possible.
Which indicates the fuel being delivered wrong caused a hydrostatic lock, which in turn broke the piston. I've had this inspected by 6 other technicians, a master machinist, and 2 certified Audi technicians, all have the same conclusion. I tried speaking with JHM (Johnathan), he says sorry it isn't possible. He can only tell me that the diagnosis is wrong, but he can't give any other explanation. He refuses to look at it or have it inspected by someone of his choice. He said that he would look at the flywheel, but I have to ship it to him. He said that he doesn't want the original to compare. No matter what he finds during his inspection, he said that he will refuse to take responsibility. I can't get a refund on faulty overpriced parts. He expects me to just eat the 1400.00 I paid for parts that are bad and unusable, and he will not pay for the damage caused. That is where it was left at today. Customer service is horrible. They only care to steal your money and peddle junk parts. Hard to find a company that cares about the customers and their reputation. If they put forth the effort to fix their mistakes, I will definitely give written apology and leave a more positive review. As of right now they are a poor example of a company.
