My experience with INMO glasses
I ordered the INMO Air3 AR Glasses from Saudi Arabia. Here is my short, honest review of the product and the complicated international return process.
1. The Product Issues:
The glasses did not meet expectations. They were much larger and bulkier than advertised, making them uncomfortable. The built-in speakers had poor audio quality, and the touch controls on the frame were highly unresponsive. The device also suffered from noticeable heating issues and rapid battery drain during basic use.
2. The Financial Loss ($160 USD Lost):
Even though I was promised a product refund, international returns are financially draining. I lost a total of $160 USD (~600 SAR) out-of-pocket just to return a defective item:
$130 USD: For DHL shipping from Saudi Arabia to Canada (INMO refused to provide a prepaid label).
$20 USD: Inspection fee deducted from my refund.
$10 USD: Original shipping fee which was non-refundable.
3. Return Logistics & Resolution (Shipped to their Canada Warehouse):
Although INMO is a Chinese company, their customer support instructed me to ship the return package to their designated international service warehouse (Besender) located in Richmond, Canada. Once the package arrived in Canada, it got stuck at customs because their warehouse failed to clear the import duties.
Communication was incredibly difficult due to the cross-border setup, and the package sat abandoned until I had to file a formal dispute with my bank to protect my money. Only after the bank dispute was opened did customer service become highly cooperative, finally clearing the customs fees and processing my official refund of $879.10 USD.
