Incorp Pro Inc was provided with two purchase orders, to which two $199 fees were paid as a part of each order.

In one instance, the company charged an "express fee" of sorts for same day incorporation verses a traditional waiting period of up to five days, but then they forgot to proceed with the incorporation registration. When asked days later when the "same day" registration would be completed, they originally attempted to blame the government for the delay. This was untrue, they simply forgot to make the application. Incorp Pro Inc. agreed to refund the $199 express fee multiple times before later saying that their internal accounting processes would not allow for a refund to be processed.

A second $199 fee was paid as a part of the name screening process. But as we were getting a numbered company, this fee was erroneously charged. When I requested a return of this fee, Incorp Pro Inc. did not respond to the written email request, and a phone call where I was told an agent would call me back did not occur.

These matters were submitted to the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal for a decision. The Tribunal has ordered Incorp Pro Inc to make a payment of $574.84. To which, Incorp Pro Inc. has refused to do. Thus forcing the matter to be moved to a bailiff asset seizure. Both a strange and curious decision to make.

RESPONSE THE INCORP PRO REPLY:

The Incorp Pro response is misleading. While technically correct that I was informed via email nearly 2 years after the order of the claim that the system does not allow for refunds on orders past three months, the reply suggests a narrative that I waited two years to bring forth the request which created the refund complication.

The reality is that the refund on the expediency fee was agreed to in immediate days after the issue occurred. $199 of a $1,025.92 order. The refund was simply not provided at that time for reasons unexplained.

A few months we spoke again. I initiated this contact as I had paid via PayPal, and they have a 180 day widow for raising disputes and requesting a refund for items not received. Again, I was told that the refund would be provided, and that the refund had just gotten missed. Not unreasonable if irksome, but the refund was to be forthcoming. And I left the issue alone.

Then, about a year and a half later when I followed up again as to why the refund was not processed, did I get the story of the issue with software limitation.

Though I do find it curious that I am being offered an unspecified discount on a future order as a remedy. In a vacuum, it's not unreasonable. However, we are at the end of the litigation process with us now waiting on me to submit the court papers needed to send in the bailiffs to begin seizing Incorp Pro's assets to satisfy the court order. The forthcoming seizure will also increate the amount of costs that Incorp Pro will need to pay to resolve the issue.

Originally, I wasn't even mad, I had just assumed it was a few honest mistakes and a couple lies from employees trying to protect their jobs. So be it, I've dealt with worse. The employees weren't directly benefiting from the issue to my knowledge (there may have been paid a commission perhaps, but I haven't asked).

Now I am entertained. I have a story to tell my friends of how on the eve of the bailiffs showing up and seizing company assets which drove up the amount Incorp would have to pay to resolve, I was offered a discount on a future order.
