This website makes their own rules as they go along.They never fix anything that goes wrong on the website and the customer service is useless.All of their community board moderators and the manager of it whose avatar name is ShannonMac are clueless and treat their customers like crap and ignore all the questions and complaints.They are on a power trip and do not care one bit about the customers, all they care about is suspending members accounts or banning them from posting on the community board and silencing them .One of the community board moderators named Sugercone doesnt do a single thing to help any of the members except she loves to threaten the customers and suspend them.She is useless and disrespectful but her manager always backs and stands up for these moderators and tells the customers they are wrong no matter what.And you cant get anybody on the phone at this website to tell them about how they treat you because they never pick up the phone.They never give updates and you end up paying your membership for useless music that doesnt work.They only get back to you when they suspend you or threaten you.They try to censor their customers so they shut up and go away so they dont have to do anything.If you voice your opinions about things that are wrong on the site they remove all your posts and threaten you.The music has been broken on this site for years now and if you complain about it they threaten you with suspensions and bans.It still has never been fixed and people have paid thousands of dollars for music that skips or stops or doesnt work at all.Their website engineers are incompetent and have no idea how to fix anything.When they try to it takes years for them to come up with something.No website should be allowed to take money from people for this kind of broken defective service.They had over 3 1/2 years to be ready for the Adobe Flash Player to stop working which would stop the customers from sampling the music before they buy it and they did absolutely nothing in those 3 1/2 years to have a solution for when it stopped.That was announced in 2017 that the Flash Player was being discontinued and would be ending at the end of 2020 and now the music sampling doesnt work anymore and they are telling us all to have patience and understanding...lol...what a joke..They had 3 1/2 years and sat on their asses and did nothing and now they say they are working on it.Yet they continue to take members money every day for a broken service.People are getting smart now and leaving this website and not renewing their memberships.Anybody thinking about joining this website please dont waste your hard earned money.You will regret it.Avoid it at all costs.I have learned my lesson the hard way and wasted thousands of dollars on this crap and have been dis-respected by these unprofessional moderators and managers that control this site and have no respect for their paying customers.They will regret it as more people stop paying to be on it anymore.IMVU stands for I AM VIOLENT at YOU because thats how this bunch of people come at the customers.They just steal your money and laugh at you as they spit in your face.I would have rated it at ZERO stars but you have to give it at least one star on here according to the ratings but believe me,it is a ZERO rating...DONT EVER JOIN THIS WEBSITE NO MATTER WHAT !!!

Definetly would suggest to anyone to play this game. The customer service is a scam! If you do not play the game for some period of time, they will delete your account automaticlly. I dont even understand why they would have a system like that, I bieleve its just to make money of people.

sh** staff, they banned and disabled both two of my accounts for no reasons and thisis when i spent alot of money on both. the first was from 2017 to 2019 i bought a room and spent alot of money getting credit and getting VIP and then one day out of no where i couldnt log in and they blocked me and my account. after a year of break 2020 i joined late december and i thought i would rebuilt my account and start new should i spent a week getting credit though offers and buying them and then after a week i spent my credit and bought outfits and made my accoutn similare to my old and then after that week on sunday i couldnt log in to this accoutn either. i got so pissed because what they are doing is selling from people. f them

They banned my account for no soild reason. I spent over 50 dollars on my account and made many great friends. But one day they sent me an email telling me that they got “evidence”of me admitting my real age which is totally false. I reached out to the team and they give me the same answer without any solution. I recommend you to not ever spend any money on this app just in case they ban you out of the blue, like they did to me.

iMVU,is a perfect game to make friends just be sure to follow there terms and conditions , privacy policy and NEVER give out any personal information to anyone on the App ,the only way you can get credits is from doing offers and paying for it.....

I warn everyone never to spend one penny on this useless site and don't give them your money and waste your money and time on this useless place, now imvu have became a place where only raspiests and pedophiles and racists people hang out, you wont find single decent person on imvu, and it has only turned in to a place to steal peoples money and to offend them and violate them, imvu talks about violating their terms of service when the truth is that they are the ones violating all peoples rights and money...I warn everyone never to think on spending money on imvu, even if you spend thousands and you been a user for so many years they wont care and will disable you whenever they want and for no reason at all without any explanation or warning...you will lose everything in a second...take it from a person who used imvu for 13 years and spend so much on it and worked my heart and soul to build my account on it, and even then they disabled me for no reason and when i have done nothing.

No one's account is safe on imvu or protected, they can throw you in the trash whenever they want and feel like it without giving any explanation or reasons, even if you are going by their rules and policies and never broke them they will still treat you like a criminal, this is no way to do business or treat the customers, very very poor and pathetic way of doing business. IMVU have 0 customer service and support, they treat their customers so bad and worse than trash, i have been on imvu since 13 years and not even once have broken any imvu policies or rules or went against any of imvu TOS, and even then imvu disabled my account for no reason twice,first time when they did it was proved that i did nothing and then i had it back now they did the same thing again and without any justification, they just assume things and disable accounts at once on suspicion and doubts without even investigating in the matter or making sure of it, if you stop spending on them they will disable you....No one should spend one penny on this thing or give them any money, they can disable you at anytime without any reason even if you are old and senior user or even if you have spent fortune on it, they wont care and will disable your account without any explanation or justification....stop wasting your money, I am a living example of that....my account is 13 years old and i spend so much time and did so much hard work on building it and yet they disabled me for no reason when i did nothing wrong.

I would give it 0 stars if I could,The whole service is a giant scam. They'll steal your money. Customer service is absolutely impossible to deal with, staff is rude and will never reply to anything you ask or if you have any issues, you have no where to go, your just stuck in the dead end.....Management is a disaster, everything is about money.... how can we extort users for more money? They did an overhaul of their community management, and profited off of top creators by partnering with them. In the end, they banned them for no reason....management has no care for their users, they only care about how they can get more money, when a user stops giving them money, their account becomes unimportant and they disable you.

IMVU = Intentionally Murdering Victims Unmercifully

IMVU Is not a good app, IMVU scammed me out of 32p, yes it's not a lot but it's not the point. At the moment the conversion rate of 12.99 dollars is 10.06, I got refunded 9.72, so I am missing 32p, though I originally brought the VIP at 10.34. So technically I need to get refunded 62p.
I've heard from big creators that IMVU has, IMVU scammed the workers out of 60,000dollars. And haven't paid them back yet, and expect them to still carry on doing new products, and pay for it.
As well it seems like that the reviews about imvu on here are people getting scammed too.
IMVU Also as we're talking about my experience with imvu, does not listen to us clients, regardless of having a suggestion and feedback section they dont take on our opinions.
The harassment on imvu too, imvu does nothing. There is an account called Creptio that goes around harassing females and when they've been to imvu live regarding it, they did nothing. The harassment gotten to the point Creptio got a rough area of where a customer on imvu lives and they still didn't do anything.
IMVU over the years sadly has been decreasing and many of imvu customers has been moving to SL because it is so much better.

I bought a name change token with paypal. It worked. But when I decided to buy 100,000 credits for 84.99USD they said they had to ''approve'' it. Its been 24 hours and nothing has happened. IMVU won't answer my emails and I feel totally helpless. Yes I had money in my PayPal account, they took the money but gave me nothing for it. 84.99USD lost in the drain. Either give me the credits or give my money back.

Where to even begin on this program...

I had several typed up but there's one in specific I want to point out...

IMVU claims to be all about safety, privacy and security but they don't care about any of that.
There is a user who constantly harasses a lot of people and she plays the victim card. Dozens of people have been to live chat about her, but LC won't do anything about it.
They tell us to flag the post and block her [which we've all done already].
This same user has doxxed people's personal information across IMVU and other platforms.
IMVU still won't do anything.

IMVU is most definitely not safe for anyone under 18, heck, it's barely safe for anyone at all.

Their staff are the dumbest people on the planet, I can't believe the baboons get paid. Honestly.

My account got hacked a few years ago and while I did manage to secure it (no thanks to IMVU staff) they did manage to add a credit card to the account. This credit card is now being requested by clueless staff over and over and over again even after pointing out it wasn't my card, I never owned a credit card before recently.

These are obviously the dumbest people in the world and I hope their working conditions are horrible.

I have been on IMVU for about 6 or 7 years now and though there have been quite a few changes to the game, there are still some things that are a bit concerning that linger.

Access Pass
It is still a thing where you can get an Access Pass without verifying your age.

Age Verification Options
One particular option to verify your age to IMVU that concerns me quite a bit is how you can use your "Social Security Card" to verify your age. I have been taught that you do not trust websites (unless government made) with your social security number and this option makes me very nervous.

Account Disable and Permanent Ban
You are guilty until proven innocent in this game and a lot of the time they won't even hear you out as to what may have happened to your account.

All this being said, there are also a few pros to this game, especially with the pandemic going on.

Socializing / Making Friends
There are a good handful of good people on this game that are absolute angels. I have made quite a few good friends, some who I am still in contact with today!

Customization
Your avi is yours to create and the perfect look is yours to hone. Although it is a bit difficult to find exactly what you're looking for, you're still able to make avatar as beautiful or as ridiculous as you'd like.

Something I think not a lot of people think about is the typing skills you can acquire if you're using this game on PC (but mobile as well). Not only has social sites like this increase my typing speed and skill, but it also will boost my appeal to jobs that involve being able to type faster than a monkey on 4 cans of Bang energy!

It's up to you whether or not you'd like to play this game, and I feel like it's a good idea to gather up your own list of pros and cons and see if you really want to do anything with this game.

Imvu staff is a bunch of idiotic people. To imvu you’re guilty until proven innocent. I just asked a worker about an old account I had at first he said they he doesn’t see an account with that name then he started asking me questions about my account like if I own this account and what’s my full name then he said that there is no relation to my account and the other account... but you just said you couldn’t find that account tho. I hate their staff they’re all a bunch of dumbass people

Scams,lies and threats:
At first I loved the game even though you have to spend a lot of money to get a decent looking avatar, so I spend over 100€ on it an just bought AP before they banned my account. The reason for me being banned is apparently that I tried to get free credits in a way that violated their policies even though the only free credits I tried to get was through their offers on the game! Staff doesn‘t want to help nor send proof to me or even explain what exactly I did „wrong“. When I called them out in the public discussion they threatened me with “further disciplinary actions”!!!

First FYI: Parents, this is not a "game" for people under 16!

Dumb, uninterested staff, awful mobile app, awful website(s!) layout and usually boring people in pretty empty rooms.
It has gone so downhill in the last couple of years.
Staff barely respond with any sense to tickets, it's half the time some generic copy and paste response.
I asked the same question 6 times and I still haven't gotten an answer, they just copy and paste the same "sorry the info didn't match".
The mobile app is missing more than half of the desktop apps SIMPLE features.
The website for IMVU is some heinous mashup of an ugly, outdated website that regularly redirects you to a newer, completely different looking site that's missing nearly all the features, tabs and options that the old one has! You would think IMVU has both the money and staff to merge and improve these websites already!

The graphics are pretty good, decent immersion but the rooms have really been getting empty in recent years, too many rooms being allowed to be made if you ask me and it leads to positive, chatty rooms being difficult to find.
It's an OK app that could be made so much better.

IMVU has really went over the line with their "verification" crap, like are you serious it has been over 2 weeks now and still they don't verify me as the owner of the account like what the hell I paid $25 for VIP and non of the staff members are helpful at all. Till this day my account is still under Account hold.. I've called them and verified everything but still they don't wanna even assists in helping me out. I've called my bank so they can cancel the order, hopefully they get my account off hold then but sadly I don't think that will be happening anytime soon, this is a warning to anyone that wanna purchase VIP for IMVU please dont buy it with your credit card, just get a IMVu gift card and they offer VIP within those cards without having to have your account on hold to verify ID, credit card info, etc. It's sad that IMVU never really tries to hear out there customers that's just trying to PAY FOR THEIR ORDER LIKE JESUS CHRIST WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL. I've should've known better before purchasing... My friend had told me that purchasing a IMVU gift card can get you the same amount of VIP you need, after finding out I was furious and also sad that I didn't even know but hopefully somebody finds this message and take my info I have provided and use it cause I dont want anybody else out there getting there account token away by IMVU and maybe never retrieving it back like me :(

Not gonna lie, this game is fun for people who have couples far apart from their partners during covid. I was so excited to play it with my bf, however. I wanted to get the VIP membership to get more credits to experience the full excitement of this game, though the next day they asked me for I.D proof. I get because im overaged individual purchasing it but as for the proof they went way too far. What they ment by i.d they ment by your personal driver's license. I was uncomfortable sharing this type of information during this purchase because i don't want my D.L to be vulnerable in a way hackers can access it. Afterwards, i contact them and demand my money back. I also read deeper on why, andbits for " age verification " so I'm like, i get it its there type of security to keep minors from interfering with 18+ users. Yet minor or not they went way too deep try to enforce people into exposing more deep personal information to people. Not only they ask you for DL but if failing to attempt, they will make you do other methods like your Social security, DL, and passport. What's next my birth certificate. Oh hells no!! You should never EVER expose your personal information to any site that isnt involved with the bank or government( and i dont care if you're an adult). Really all of this information to a small fun yet mediocre video game. Why i never!! i feel as if this is wrong and immortal and threating to people's private lives enforcing us to show off this information so that hackers can doxx and steal no matter how this site is so-called "secure". I feel sorry for the people who got Imvu VIP. These sad people dont know who are they're giving information to. Never heard of a game that will force you to expose explict information to them, because they assume that you're a minor faking it to get in. I get it when you purchase like this in real life( minus the social security and passport,but only with driver license) but online Ohhh nononono they have lost thier minds!! I have never heard anything like this in other gaming sites and even a friend told me that Fakku(an adult anime site) never done this type of method before.
