I have an account dated back from 2008, and during the 16 years I have been using this game , last year my account was "put on hold" due to me, simply, just login in daily to claim THEIR OWN FREE DAILY LOGIN STREAK CREDIT EVENT. Ridiculous. When I tried contacting them through their customer service ticketing they asked for identification details like IC , selfie with IC and credit card number etc for a membership purchase that happened ONCE on 2018. Ironically the purchase was A GIFT from a friend of mine. Do they truly think it's reasonable to ask someone for their personal infos because they put my account on hold due to their OWN event??? Ticketing system is ridiculously USELESS , and they insisted I need to give out the cred card info. Sureeee. Bye bye to my account I guess.

IMVU is the ultimate example of a company who is run by a bunch of morons, to put it nicely. I have been a part of this community for twelve years now, and ever since I joined things have been going downhill. Let's start simple: they could care less about Mac users. From the very beginning I have had issues with the program working on my MacBook Pro, consistently writing to the customer service, only to get very vague responses. I even called them out saying that Macs are better machines and their responses spelled out their programers are either too lazy or too stupid to write a program that can work on both Macs and PCs like Second Life. Now I'm stuck using imvu beta, which is a desktop version of their mobile app, because writing a program that works on the newest Mac software platforms is apparently too advanced for those imbeciles. They also don't handle abuse/stalking reports at all, I've had several friends make multiple reports about members and the abusers would never get banned. I honestly struggle to describe this website without swearing up a storm at how incompetent they are, so I'm going to leave this review right here.

Unfortunately this game is so far behind what is out at the moment. If you give your opinion the ones running the Instagram page getting offended and want add you to discover feed anymore. The imvu page become a page for the influencer and their friends. On purpose they skip good pictures and have amazing creators getting closes down. The influencer department should be reviewed and have an overseer. Since this department runs with no supervision they have too much free rain to choose their own and alters accounts to get on the Discover feed. Many people left the game do to the influencer department. I would advise management to start looking deeper into
The influencer department to see if they have your users at heart.

Imvu is undergoing major changes in several years now in order to bring a 20 years old platform into the today's world of mobiles, tablets and whatever else beyond pc. Do users have issues? They always do, everywhere. Is it expenssive? Well it is not free. Do customer support answer? It always does. But various issues will be treated with various levels of interest. Is there a protection against predators? Of course there is. Now if parents don't know how to protect their own children that's not the internet's fault. Aka, mind your credit cards and whatever fake id pictures kids come up with. That being said - growth is not everyone's cup of tea, but it should not be discoureged either. And businesses grow with money. If you think something unworthy would have lasted as long in a constantly changing internet world, think again. A chat platform is made of people, and negativity attracts negativity, much as is same about positivity.

As someone who's been on IMVU for over 10 years, don't waste your time on this dying app. The customer service is just as uninterested as IMVU is as a company. I've had great upstanding and years of playing just to randomly log in and see my account was deactivated for whatever made up reason they came up with. I've been in customer service the past two days over my account and finally had all I could stand when the customer service agent called me a liar and laughed at me. Save yourself YEARS of frustration and being taken advantage of and go do anything else but give them more money. Peace and love

IMVU IS TERRIBLE. The customer service does not care. The reporting system does not work. There are hundreds of users that expose/doxx other users, harrass them, bully them etc. I’ve seen so many situations where users have been known to self harm after/during using this platform. They only care about money !! They disable top seller creators that use their platform as a second source of income, without any kind of warning etc. They will disable you without paying you even if you have an amount of earnings left with them. They don’t care ! They are heartless, money hungry people! I’ve been trying to reach out repeatedly. They disabled my top seller creator account for a faulty reason without any warning or worthy enough explanation. I had over 2000$ in my earnings. Where is my money imvu! I will literally push this to court. Return my account, stop stealing from hard working people. I don’t know if they are racist or what because they literally have Caucasian creators doing exactly the things that they say to NOT do on their TOS and they get warning after warning, bypass after bypass etc instead of immediate disablement. Imvu does not care that they are Damaging livelihoods

⛔️⛔️No rules, No system, No nothing. This game should not Even be legal. I got my account hacked once and the criminal behind tried to Rip my credit account. They managed to steal few dollars. Reported this to the staff members of imvu. They did nothing. Not Even give me reply. Probably them behind the theft.. People are buying illegal avatars from the blackmarket and using them. People are harrasing eachother and discriminating eachother. Imvu does nothing! Its all about money for them.. ⛔️⛔️

If I could give this 0 stars I would banned my account because my card wasn't verified for their company. So like any normal person I asked why followed their instructions answer their call when they called me. Told them to go through cash app and asfizzle a site/app I never heard of told them this is extremely sketchy. Whoever I was talking to was extremely rude 30 minutes ho by I got fed up with his attitude and bs I said just ban my account. He complied after taking my information because after the call I have a transaction from firtech drone $50 a drone I never bought.
So I assume the CEO hacked my account then got my information then that wasn't the end over 5 transactions of $2.11 from xbox was taken out of my bank. I can see why I stayed away from IMVU for a decade because the CEO will take your information and use your bank for their needs while you get banned

It's a scam. If you're thinking about creating and investing in an account - DON'T.

They've wrongfully banned many users including me. I contacted the customer service and couldn't get my account back despite having done nothing wrong. Keep in mind that my account was not hacked. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. I honestly don't know why they are still running

The app is bad worse than the desktop site. Too many glitches. Got very boring. I was a user for 10 years. The site just wants to ban you and get you in trouble.

I'd been on IMVU for around 15 years, but only ever had one account that really mattered to me. I invested a bunch of money in it, had friends I didn't have anywhere else, really enjoyed it.

However, after so many years, I just got told my account was banned for fraud - no evidence, no notes, no nothing. I tried to appeal, as they let you know you should if it's a false flag, but they don't let you log in to see the reply. I made a new account to ask them to write there so I could continue the case, then they banned that one too. All my money, all this time, all these friends, gone forever, for nothing. I am a manager in a company, I don't fraud people on a chat website, that's ridiculous.

Keep your money away from them cuz they don't care if you've given them hundreds or thousands of dollars, if you've been a VIP, anything - they'll just take it away in an instant for no reason and won't let you really appeal. It's really disgusting, I'm super disappointed.

Imvu is not for everybody especially for mobile users they dont care about nothing with us but dont mind taking our money to not ever fix a problem they just update and update without fixing nothing what so ever. Gone close all the other imvu versions to only have desktop version is sad the imvu tv on mobile is zoomed in and blurry for mobile users but do they care no. Im getting tired of giving up my money every month for to be treated like i dont exist mobile users need to not become vip because if u dont have a pc to change ur settings that vu tv not gone be no gud to u its a mess and they refuse to fix it and the only way to fix it is something to do with a dpi but mobile dont have that settings and thats something to do with imvu not my mobile nothing but they dont wanna except they game is trash

IMVU used to be fantastic, fun, and playful, but now it's violent and sexual. PERIOD. The program is garbage.

Je fut un ancien de Vuvu puisque je l'ai fréquenté de 2011 à 2023 . Ce site autrefois très plaisant et bon enfant ( on y venait comme l'on va au café : pour retrouver des amis ou connaissances , rire et papoter de tout et de rien ) c'est progressivement transformé et à décliné très fortement . Les musiques que l'on pouvait acheter sont devenues très chères ( d'où maintenant que des gamines et gamins qui " mixent" des morceaux de musique mis bout à bout ) , les ''Familles'' virtuelles sont également arrivés ( la tata , le tonton, la mère , les enfants ) ce qui est assez pathétique . De même la publicité à outrance ( vôtre boite mail vuvu est envahie journellement de mails vous proposant des participations inintéressantes ou vous invitant à payer pour X ou Y chose ) . Enfin , les personnes y venant aujourd'hui ne sont obsédés que par un seul thème "trouver une âme soeur'' ou un ''compagnon'' virtuel ( voire plus ) . Toute info utile ou agréable de la vie étant zappée pour un cloisonnage total autour de ce centre d'interêt et - bien entendu - le sexe - quoique , même dans ce domaine c'est devenu mal vu ( cela dit pour être honnête le sexe virtuel vuvucien c'est vraiment de la bande dessiné pour frustré ) . Enfin Imvu est devenu un grand CHU doublé d'une clinique psy . Les femmes que vous y rencontrez ont toutes des problèmes de santé ou de couple quand aux hommes cela oscille entre l'alcoolique et le looser désespéré qui n'a pas de vie réelle .

Bref , vous l'aurez compris cher lecteur ou lectrice, on ne peut de toute façon parler de rien d'inintéressant ( toute discussion un peu élevée et sérieuse étant zappée par des "zzz" ou des ''ça nous gonfle'' de même si vous avez envie de passer quelques musiques des années 80 vous serez taxé de vieux bon pour l'Ehpad ) et la majorité des salons - il faut le reconnaitre , sont maintenant vide ou presque , à l'exception de ceux de gamines qui n'ont qu'une obsession : vous mixer leur musique de jeune débiles .

Bref , vous l'aurez compris , fuyez , ce site est devenu un désert et son intêret égal à zéro . vous ne vous y ferez aucun ami ni aucune amie.

I’ve played for a few years now and the reviews are correct it’s full of toxic people sone people are good and nice but it’s a playground for weirdos bullying and sone really strange people on there I don’t recommend it a lot of underage people on there and a lot of sexual conduct it should be taken down or better regulated in my opinion

IMVU banned my 4-year-old account for misrepresenting my age, even though I had age verification and I didn't do it on purpose. IMVU doesn't look into cases individually, customer service is not that good - only in LIVE-chat, you get at least some kind of service and before using that service, you need to buy VIP.

I told them my realistic suggestions on their help page my account got frozen and I couldn't write anything. The mobile version is horrible to use without VIP because there are so many ads, their old webpage looks old and needs badly upgrade. Some products you buy on IMVU classic look bad on the mobile version.

IMVU's age limit is 13 with parents permission, but I really think it should be 18+. Overall IMVU is harmful environment for minors because its toxic atmosphere.

I would advice new users and old users not to spend any money on this game!

Only good experiences I got from my 4-year-old journey is that you can customize your avatar and maybe if your lucky, you can find pretty nice people.
