Rubbish bath filler, E358, leaked via plug waste cable and cable housing sump by drain. In my desperation I’ve order another one to see if it works due to install needs.

We are now a year in trying to install an en suite. We have chased and chased! We finally sorted our shower with damage to the below bathroom. Now have a damaged tap which may I add has not been used apart from me wiping a cloth around it. It has started peeling! The tap has been discontinued ordered a different one and this has arrived with a large dent in it! I hold my hands up at the quality. We have tried to buy UK product. It is not a cheap product but I have a bathroom from heritage which is 17 years old and looks better than this! We now have to send this back and are no near forward to using our en suite fully! The bathroom was not cheap and it is more a disaster zone than enjoying it! Would never used Hudson Reed products again if we were doing our bathroom again! You will not carry on trading if this is not resolved!!!

I could weep. We fitted 3 new bathrooms with Hudson Reed products in 2019. All 3 hand held showers drip. 2 overhead shower heads have literally blown off on being turned on hitting the shower occupant on the head. We’ve taped over the valve with a sign say ‘ do not use DANGEROUS’ I’ve had to replace one sink tap which endlessly dripped and Hudson Reed didn’t even reply to my email. . The equipment is all loose and, I now see, cheap, of low quality and a huge expensive mistake.
I need a H R qualified plumber to come and see for themselves. I spent thousands and less than a year after installing Hudson Reed products the majority are degrading and causing water ingression through a ceiling amongst other incidents.
Please could someone help me get my money back so I can install quality bathroom equipment.

We have moved to a 10 year old, we’ll maintained, 4 bed house in a soft water area. We have 2 HR monobloc taps with badly pitted and blistered levers, in different parts of the house. I have sent numerous emails with photos to their technical departments and today, during my phone call, I was finally told the lever spare parts are “not available”. When I questioned “not available” wondering if they were maybe on order and awaiting a new supply, he just reiterated “not available”. To which I finally ascertained they were discontinued and that they consider that these tap spare levers had been cleaned with something inappropriate. Now I cannot say what they were previously cleaned with before we bought the property, but it is strange that all the other taps in the house which has two bathrooms, cloakroom, a utility room, kitchen and en suite and the other taps are pristine and unblemished.

I would respectfully suggest you choose a different supplier with a better product and customer service attitude.

We purchased a shower tray from Hudson Reed after the one we previously had installed snapped in the middle and began to dip. We were so overwhelmed with the quality of the Hudson Reed shower tray we since went on to kit out 2 further bathrooms entirely in their products. Excellent quality, excellent delivery and economical pricing. Would recommend them to anyone looking for bathroom products that won't need replacing!

Avoid this company and its products at all costs. The quality of the items they sell is extremely lacking. We are a small developer and decided to install their bathroom taps and showers into 7 houses we have recently built. I have regretted that decision ever since we made it. Five of the taps have failed and the onwards customer support from Hudson Reed has been atrocious. They have ducked and dived to try and avoid accepting responsibility for the faulty taps, and this is for taps that weren't even cheap. They just repackage cheap chinese knock offs and take no responsibility for failures or warranty claims if anything goes wrong with the product even a couple of months down the line. Don't buy Hudson Reed taps! I have just had a tap fitted in my bathroom which had been left over from a property refurbishment I did a year ago. The tap was still in the box and hadn't been used or fitted or even taken out of the box. My existing tap had been dripping for a while so I decided to replace it with the Hudson Reed tap which then dripped worse than the one I'd replaced. I was told that they weren't prepared to do anything about it even though it was obvious the tap was faulty and was advised to buy a new washer. I wrote to their technical department who eventually wrote back very rudely by somebody called Deborah telling me the number of the washer and that it would cost a further £32???
They are a shocking company, with a shocking customer service attitude and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Hudson Reed taps are not fit for purpose. To anybody who may be thinking of buying one of their bathroom taps, please note that you are permitted to clean said taps only with hot water and a cloth. Under no circumstances may you use a bathroom cleaning product formulated to clean bathroom taps to clean Hudson Reed's very special bathroom taps. If the chrome is defective on one of their taps, as is the case for one of mine, they will not remedy the problem if the taps have ever been touched by anything other than water. Apparently their taps are simply not built to withstand the insult of a bathroom cleaning spray. Under no circumstances will their embarrassingly bad customer services department consider that they simply have a defective product, even say if you have bought multiple taps from them and only had a problem with one of them. It is a wonderful get out of jail card they have created for themselves. You kind of have to admire their brass neck, if not their chrome taps.

We bought a HR basin unit through Victoria Plumbing, 1st one has a chunk off on the side , another chunk off the bottom and two of the drawer supports had the screws coming out. The replacement unit has two breaks on the bottom, probably over tighten on assembly and one of the wall hook mechanisms has a bad adjustment screw, it won’t move!!

We are waiting for the 3 replacement unit, hopefully 3rd tome lucky!

Note, the units and draws seem to be really good quality it’s just the built quality is awful.

Ok the 3rd unit just arrived and guess what , it’s damaged at the bottom on two side, they really need to look into who is putting these units together, it seems like they are using a impact driver!!!! Why don’t they check the unit before it leave if it’s a replacement!

Terrible, cheap product. Nut cracked 8 months after installation causing damage to our ceiling and £100s of repair. Purchased through Wayfair. Wouldn't touch this brand ever agian

Have a set of bath taps that have been leaking from under the tap resulted in a full on burst that went under the bath and resulted in the water pipe being cut off from the actual tap base as plumber unable to disconnect taps. How can you actually disconnect the tap with out pulling out the bath

Technical support supplies useless advise for poorly designed Taps! We now left stuck with a shower nut that we can’t remove to change the valve??? Tried adjustable spinner, lime scale remover, WD40 and even had a plumber around that can remove the nut! The Kit is only 3 years old! ANY genius ideas to remove the nut???

23/7/20 - still not resolved by technical team...

I was called out to repair a Hudson Reed Topaz Traditional Three Outlet Push Button Shower Valve which we did not install. Initially we had problems with the water outlet and wanted to undo the brass nut on the check valve filter. This nut seems to be a special size which I couldn’t get and when I requested a socket or spanner from the Company they laughed.
The Technical backup was non existence I personally don’t think they have a clue, they pass you from pillar to post with stupid suggestions which culminated in Deb telling me ‘we do not have or need special tools’ so how can a trademan undo this special nut? It is so easy to put a tool within the packaging of the shower, as other Companies do, because we feel check valves are constant problems.

In conclusion, do not even consider a shower or anything to do with Hudson Reed, stick to well known brands which have served us well for 50 years.

We have the tec lever shower mixer set. The cold tap stopped working (the grooves on the cartridge wore away so that the lever couldn't catch on them) after around 4 years. Despite apparently having a 20 year guarantee, the technical/customer service department are next to useless. Seemed completely uninterested and advised us to buy a replacement cartridge, which ended up being far too big and so didn't fit the tap. They clearly have no technical knowledge about the products they sell. Admittedly the taps look great but they are absolutely not worth the money. Avoid avoid avoid.

I bought a Hudson Reed 3 door mirror bathroom cabinet because it was the right size for the space. I regret this now.
Firstly - design. Weighing in at over 40kg it is too heavy and hangs from only 2 lightweight wall cabinet fittings.
Secondly - packaging. 1st cabinet arrived on a pallet but one of the mirror doors was broken and the end panel fittings had pulled out of the particle board. It looked as it had been dropped. Replacement arrived with a chipped mirror door. The packaging is very flimsy and inadequate for the stresses of shipping. Add in the weight and it becomes a difficult item for delivery.
As it was a day before lockdown I ended up cobbling together a workable cabinet by using an undamaged door from the 1st delivery to mend the 2nd.

Bought a Hudson Reed Grey sink cabinet quality wasn't the best seemed all out of Shape, but they say this is due to transport. 5 months later the coating on the doors are coming apart. Contacted them and sent the photos and guess what it's my fault water ingress. Asked them for the testing information. No answer from them so not sure if the chip board is water resistant. Very poor customer service and quality. They did offer for me to buy more doors but would be charging me. Don't go buy the old saying buy cheap buy twice. Buy expensive and buy twice from hudson reed. You would think that a bathroom item would be water resistant

Would have given this product zero stars had it been possible.
They are designed for both crosshead and lever tops so work in opposite ways - fine for levers but extremely annoying for cross head taps as they work in the opposite directions and you end up soaking yourself every time you turn one of them off. The manufacturer's technical assistance is non-existent (they virtually say tough luck but we'll sell you levers) so the only thing you can do is to get replacement valves which work in the correct direction (but manufacturers won't give you the code for the correct type) costing yet more money.
Can't warn you off these enough and only wish I'd read up properly before buying. I'm getting rid of my brand new and expensive taps and won't even sell them on as I wouldn't wish them on anyone else!

We purchased our bathroom fittings from Hudson Reed 15 years ago. We have just developed an issue with shower controls and I phoned up and asked for some help. I spoke to Phil, who couldn't have been more helpful and patient. My issue is now solved, new part ordered and his help was invaluable. 5 Stars all the way for product knowledge and customer service.

Having bought a lot of Hudson Reed products for our last bathroom (toilet, basin, floor standing mixer tap and basin tap) several years ago, we decided to buy virtually all Hudson Reed products when renovating the bathroom in our current house. This was a mistake as their Customer Service and willingness to help with spare parts or technical matters is atrocious.

In summary an area of white gloss flaked off one of the drawers of the basin unit during installation and I simply rang to ask whether a. is it possible to acquire a replacement drawer front or b. is there a white gloss touch up product that HR could recommend to cover the small area.

I was immediately shot down and advised that HR don't do spare parts and don't have any white gloss products. I hadn't even given HR the product code for the unit at this point!!

They refused to take any responsibility as manufacturer, instead repeating that any damage had to be reported within 72 hours of delivery. If it was a manufacturing defect it was not apparent during inspection.

I have since used a white gloss touch up product found myself which covers the area up 'okay'. However after spending hundreds of pounds this time and hundreds of pounds for our last project I will avoid buying any products from HR ever again.

Also the toilet seat buffers for our toilet costing more than £350 just fall out.... Clearly a manufacturing defect.
