My son and I both went to the open day last week. I found it very useful and informative regarding new products available. Should have more days like these going forward.

I did not get what I asked for, few things missing from my kitchen order

The staff in the branch were super helpful, everything arrived on time, great service will definitely use them again

I always find the staff in particular Wayne very helpful.
Numerous times I'm trying to do something I don't know how to do, he's always willing to offer his advice and help me out.

It would be an idea to improve how the accounts work though... items being returned, credits being issued etc

UPDATE: Howden’s contacted my partner straight after me posting this review. They did not offer me a solution to the problem but asked I deleted my review. The manger stated that the last part really upset her, with us suggesting she does not care.
Well a week in and Hotpoint have come to check the microwave, they have stated that a part on the microwave has broken. They can not fix it, as it is a part that is out of stock and have no idea when this part will be come available again.
So Howden’s maybe upset by this very truthful review but imagine how upsetting it is paying £500 for a microwave oven 6 months ago, that is ‘under warranty’ but now broken and no one can fix.

After spending over £12000 on a kitchen with Howden’s Rochdale I really wish I would of gone elsewhere. From the start it couldn’t of gone any worse.
Before the kitchen had started, my partner had to unload our kitchen from the van to the house, as they couldn’t send someone with the driver. If he didn’t do this we couldn’t get the kitchen on time. Luckily he could have a day off, as I was no help 8 months pregnant.
First off the kitchen had been measured up wrong, so my work top was far too big. Thankfully the fitter sorted this out but unfortunately I now don’t have access to one of my cupboards. Next was the hob, that was cracked all the way down the middle. We went to swap it but then our fitter informed us that we had chosen one with an extractor fan inside, which meant that the top drawer in the island, that they had designed for us and had even sold a cutlery tray for, couldn’t be used. So selling us a £900 hob apparently wasn’t enough, they also sold us a drawer we couldn’t us! They did manage to swap the hob after a fair few phone calls. Then the sink went to be fitted, we ordered grey, the one in the box was black. According to the guy at Howden’s this is a very common mistake and was happy to swap it 🙄.
Next came the final piece, the flooring. At this point you’d be thinking nothing else could go wrong surely, well think again! Howden’s had sent us the wrong flooring, after lots of back and forth we finally did get 15% discount on the flooring because at this point, it was ready to be laid and I wasn’t waiting around anymore.
So we are now 6 months into the kitchen that we had dreamt of and now our nice built in Microwave oven has broken and Howdens could not careless. They’ve told us to speak to Hotpoint and now we have to wait for an engineer to come out in a couple of weeks.
So all in all, if you think you’re getting a good kitchen at a decent price, maybe think again and have a shop round.

Howdens does not have a fitter friendly forum were new products can be discussed elevating problems with builders and designers . It's great for you to sell a product but not so great if your fitting them with no help from yourselves

Called in about a few doors, they where out of stock but ordered quickly and put to one side for me and called me straight away.

Bought a kitchen for my son’s new house. The designer/planner was really good. Swapped and changed things to give us different options and give us different views so that he could make better decisions. She wasn’t pushy and appeared to know her stuff. We did end up paying more than we really wanted to though. Delivery came on time but Dan had to help with the kitchen top as it was very heavy and some of the accessories were not available on that date but came the week after

Very happy with the new kitchen. The team very helpful and they were always available to answer any queries
