Faulty shoes, late delivery
Bought lark ballerina shoes. Delivery not attempted with Royal Mail, contacted Hotter as order was late , hotter refused repeatedly to refund delivery charges for overinflated delivery. Then the shoes- one much wider than another, looks like it has ben put on the shoe stretcher or something- substandard is an understatement- never again even if their shoes would cost a penny.

Quality is better
Quality is better. But Prices is High . very fast service.
Returns rip off
I ordered some Sandals using a first order discount code. Sadly they did not fit so I returned them fully aware that a fee of £2.95 would be applied for the return postage.
However they have taken the discount that was applied to my order off my refund so I will be £7.70 out of pocket for ordering the shoes. I have not benefitted from the discount as I am not keeping the shoes so shouldn't have to pay it.
According to the government website, as i returned my order in full no minimum spend is applicable and they cannot legally deduct this amount from my refund.
They cannot just deduct the full price cost of the shoes from my refund, only what i paid.
This is very underhand and not legal. This is nowhere in their terms and conditions in the returns section.
I wont buy from this company now out of principle and would urge others not to.
Next Day Delivery!!
Placed an order and paid for next day delivery. Was informed after waiting in all day that they would not be arriving and couldn't promise the next day either. Called Customer services who clearly didn't care and had a perfunctory apology. Asked a for a delivery charge refund, upon doing so I then got told it would now be 3 to 5 working days for delivery!!!! I cancelled my order and now find out its going to take 14 working days to get a refund!! Dreadful company!

I bought hotter stability Haze gtx shoes , recommended by my podiatrist. The workmanship was very bad . The left heel had a nick in it and the stitching on all four sides ( each shoes) was not overseen . I sent them back got a refund . Because they were comfortable and just what I wanted I ordered the same again and asked for them not to be faulty .
New ones arrived and were even worse , in all the same areas . The nick in the left heel even had a stitch in it .
If I can manage it I’ll include photos .
Very disappointed for a brand that is usually good . Stop sending out substandard goods .
Relentless Unwanted Junk Mail Keeps Coming Through My Door
I never opted into advertising comms. Emails are bad enough but they keep sending me junk by post. I've asked them twice to stop and still the junk mail arrives. I'm now on a mission to waste as much of their time and resources as possible. Have about 30 pairs of Hotter and was very shocked to find the foam rubber soles on one pair has disintegrated. Apparently it's called hydrolysis. I just hope it doesn't happen to all the others.
Above and beyond
Lyn, the assistant at the Witney store, went above and beyond.
She spent over an hour helping my elderly mother, who has been unable to find decent shoes for years due to a foot deformity and arthritis. Lyn was caring and compassionate, carefully checking the fit of every shoe. She was so lovely and patient with my mum, speaking calmly and appropriately as mum is disabled.
Just superb! Thank you, Lyn — you made such a difference.

The shop was good but I brought a pair of shoes while I was away for a few days. When I got home I realised I have the same pair.I rang Hotter to see if I could return by post and was told No I have to take them back to the shop. My nearest shop is over 40 miles away.
This is a ridiculous returns policy.
Highly frustrating customer services
Nice looking shoes but arrived damaged (they were in the sale but there was no mention that there would be damage).
The next pair also arrived damaged.
I sent photos and called customer services to try to resolve.
Not impressed with me being expected to find and go to a post office during work hours (putting me in a really difficult position with work) to send the items back when none of it was my fault yet I'm being put out. I ordered online for ease, now I've had to use emails, phone calls and travel to the post office, purchase parcel tape, queue, and return the shoes. Would have been happy to have had a partial refund and kept the boots as I could deal with the damage, but was told this wasn't an option. Reluctant to get another exchange in case of a third pair arriving damaged, or the sale style being out of stock for my size. Highly frustrates
All good with Hotter
I have always had a pleasant shopping experience with Hotter. I recently bought two pairs of shoes off a sale. Delivery was prompt and everything arrived in good order. The quality of Hotter shoes is excellent, they are very comfortable and last very long. I would definitely recommend this brand and buy again.
Self-destructing soles!
Having purchased many pairs of Hotter shoes over time, I am extremely disappointed to discover the soles of a slightly worn pair are self-destructing in the shoe box. Apparently this has been an industry problem (Shuropody provided replacements without quibble) but Hotter has new owners, and decline assist. No more Hotter for me.
Poor fit and unacceptable postage fees
I ordered the Waltz shoe in a wide fit. I have never had an issue with Hotter wide fit shoes before, but this pair is extremely tight and uncomfortable.
To add insult to injury, I will be charged two sets of postage as this company charges for returns too!! This is shameful, especially when ordering online, as there are no local Hotter outlets to try them on.
Over- priced for a poor fitting pair of shoes.
Extortionate return costs
I am absolutely disgusted that this company charges delivery and return costs to the customer should an item be returned. I have never heard of a company doing this. Fair to say I will never be ordering from them again.
Be aware, if you place an order make sure it’s right otherwise you will be charged £7.45 for the privilege of returning an item.
I’m hotter under the collar
My wife bought a pair of Hotter slippers, and was initially very pleased,until she felt a sharp pain in one slipper.
She found something very sharp in the inner sole, which seemed to be a staple.
I contacted Hotter on her behalf, and after a long series of emails and returning the slippers to Hotter we are still waiting for a replacement or a full refund.
They have tried everything they could to get out of doing this by asking for proof by asking me to send them the receipt number, photos of the receipt number I was given by Royal Mail when returning the slippers
They even asked for another photo.
Finally a week ago they admitted that they had received the slippers and would be contacted soon.
Another week and still nothing
It should have been dealt with within days.
I will be contacting PayPal too regarding a refund if hearing nothing
Disgraceful company
It is now 20 March 2026 and I have finally requested PayPal to refund a full refund from Hotter.

I’m really pleased to say that I had a phone call from Rachel in Hotter to apologise for the long delay.
She said that my wife’s slippers have been backwards and forwards to different departments and acknowledged that there was something like a pin (or staple?) protruding through the sole of the slipper
She has offered us a refund or a replacement pair of shoes
Success at last, and thank you Rachel.

Change that as although Hotter promised a refund by the end of the week I have not received the refund although over a week 😫

Poor quality and poor service…
This is now the second pair of shoes that I have purchased from Hotter that need to be returned for ‘inspection’…faff to have to send item back and then they take up to 30 days to decide if they are faulty! Poor quality shoes and poor service. Will not be shopping with Hotter again.
