Shocking unprofessional 'company'. Ordered some window hinges from them. They were delivered later expected, about 5 days later. When challenged on this I was just sent a link to a Liverpool echo news story about a royal mail strike. Not a very professional response.

A couple of the hinge set packets were opened on arrival and one set were damaged. I contacted them to ask for a replacement. I thought I got them on a bad day, they were less than helpful and in some places very condescending during a 12 email thread. After reading these reviews I now know that it is how Home Secure work. ZERO customer service.

I recommend you go else where for anything you might need as you will be let down by this 'company' if you need any after care

I recommend Home Secure either winds down the company and do something else or invest in a couple of days customer service training.

Ordered a Yale 3 star platinum euro lock which when fitted failed to operate after only one day luckily for me the door was unlocked at the time so I managed to remove the lock. Thinking I was just unlucky I contacted Home Secure and they sent out a replacement lock however I had to return this lock as the keys failed to open the lock everything time. I
believe Home Secure must have had a bad batch of Yale locks.
The sad part is, they will not refund the cost of return postage or for the extra key. I even sent a video showing the faulty lock in action so they are aware of the issue but sadly I'm now out of pocket as they are no longer replying to my emails.

The item I ordered was delivered quickly. However, a missing screw cover meant that I have had to attempt to contact Home Secure. Following an email and a "contact us" form I have had no response from the company. Customer Service, Home Secure has none.

Order never turned up. No phone number on company website, Found a number else where, got through refused to talk to me as it was a Web order.. Said I had to Email. Emailed 3 times, had rude reply. Order eventually turned up 3 times longer than stated on Website. Lock was a good price, but wished I'd paid a few pounds more and bought else where.
What ever happened to customer service?

I ordered Euro cylinder with 8 keys and all delivered on time however there was mistake made in dimensions. When I emailed them with details of lock photos and replacement I needed they immediately send me another one promptly with all 8 keys and that was great !
They didn't even wait for faulty one to send back first. I would definitely recommend them.

Ordered some window wedges 20 x3 mm and 10 x 4 mm. When they arrived I received 10 x 3 mm and 20x 4 mm. After notifying them of their error they sent an additional pack of 3 mm. However on checking my credit card bill they have charged me a second time for the 3 mm wedges. I suppose charging twice is a novel way of increasing profits but does not do much for customer relations.

I ordered 7 Avocet ABS High Security Euro Cylinder locks in various sizes, all keyed alike, and 2 additional keys on New Years day on the Home Secure web site. The web site advised that "keyed alike locks" would be delivered within 7 working days and I received my Avocet locks and the additional keys by recorded delivery on the 9th January, securely packaged, the 6th working day after placing the order.
The locks were delivered as ordered and have all been a perfect fit in my doors and all 5 keys work faultlessly. I wouldn't hesitate in buying from Home Secure again.

I emailed for a quote late Friday night, which was in my inbox by 10am on Saturday. I rang up to place the order at 12 midday on the Saturday, but the sales team were busy, so was told someone would call me back... they never did.

I emailed later in the day to ask if a PayPal invoice could be sent, which it was by 8:30 on the Monday. This was then paid in full by myself and the order was sent out that say. The following Tuesday it was delivered as promised.

I ordered a Euro cylinder lock from this company with extra keys which did not work . There only comment was that they would not send out keys that do not work so in fact calling me a liar. After numerous problems with the lock and the fear that it would not unlock I asked for a refund which was after the 30 day period only to receive a copy of their returns policy as a reply. They totally ignore consumer law and offer zero customer service. I would warn anyone to steer well clear of this company. I intend to pursue this through the small claims court

Terrible and rude.
Specifications of handle was false and misleading. This company does not understand the Trading Standards definition of a misleading sale.
Extremely rude with their emails and defiantly denies me a refund of return postage.
Don’t trust the spec sheets on this website, totally wrong sizes stated!!! Was told that it would still do the job!!!!!
Awful experience, awful company. Avoid at all costs.

Item ordered that was showing in stock, and was despatched same day. 8 days later item not received and tracking number with Royal Mail does not work.

Company yet to offer replacement or refund, very poor service.

Great start, very poor finish. My initial order for two locks arrived as expected but I need to return one due to my error and asked for a direct swap.

I left it a few days and tried to call for an update after sending an email. The person answering was quite sharp with his answer saying it was a email only service. More emails sent, no response.

I looked on Companies House for director details, Kevin Jones. Called 0151 521 8089 and left a message for Mr Jones to call me back. To his credit, Mr Jones called me back and within minutes got a response to my emails. Unfortunately, they decided to refund the cost of the lock and said that *had* to reorder through the web site. Poor attitude.

I have now ordered the lock for more money via a local locksmith.

I purchase some locks and unfortunately they did not fit my doors. I contacted Home Secure to explain and they advised me of alternative locks and how to return the incorrect ones. I got the new locks within a couple of days and had the others refunded shortly after. Their customer service was superb and the issue was sorted without issue. The Yale locks are great quality and the best price I could find online. I have already recommended Home Secure to my family and friends and after seeing some bad reviews I thought it was important to post my experience on here too!

I was cautious after reading the reviews on TrustPilot after ordering the product. Home Secure told me it would take a week for the items (4 cylinder locks) to arrive, as it was a special order. They arrived on time with 3 keyed alike keys. Reading the reviews there is misunderstanding through what a lot of customers think they are ordering vs what they are ordering. I had to to some research and if in doubt I would call them (see T&C's telephone number). They can tend to be direct in e-mails but tell you how it is and what they can and cannot manage. But your not paying a locksmith so sometimes this is palatable. They have great product which after watching You Tube I fitted in minutes. Saved a fortune. Good service. Worthwhile ordering from them but research what you are doing or ask.

I have just had the most extraordinary experience with Home sesure. I had been trying to order a lock barrel online and when I got to checkout I could not pay by debit card even though the site clearly stated that it was an option. It only alloed sae or paypal. I phoned 5218089 and got a fairly prompt pickup. The fellow that answered was brusque and impatient but I tried to explain the problem. I actually said " can you please put me onto someone who understands the system. After repeating the question for the third time the fellow said in an aggressive manner " who do you think you are talking to like" Stunned I put the phone down without a word.
I have suggested to them on their site that they listen to a recording of the conversion if they have one.
A most disturbing experience. The website is splendid and the product range excellent but not much use if I can't use it.

Booked this company to fit a cat flap with several days notice. Gave them a contact number and full address and was told they would attend before noon today. Guess what?! No attendance, no call, nothing! Totally unprofessional. Avoid like the plague!!!

0 out of 10 for Customer Service!! Terrible.
Virtually impossible to contact them by phone and when you do manage to get through you get the woman from lLittle Britain, its a case of ".... computer says no" simply awful.
Contact them on their website - no response.
Create an account and try to contact them on that way. - no response.
They sent me completely the wrong handles. The error was on their side.
They do not supply a returns label, you have to send the item/s back, pay the postage yourself and then try to claim it back. Good luck with that.
I ordered 14 window handles which means the package is pretty heavy - over £16 postage so it was tracked and signed. Not a massive amount of money but it's the principle of the matter. If you want good service, don't bother with this company.

Tried to place an order over the phone as I am disabled and cannot use their web site. They refused the order and when I wrote to them about this they were flippant and rude. They should understand their obligations for equal opportunities and read up on the law or send their staff off for a bit of customer srvice training
