Friendly staff and rapid collection

Excllent service and an friendly staff

Everyone in the Upton store avoided customer contact. We’re too busy talking to each other, shouting across the store to each other. No friendly customer service at all, no eye contact or engagement - quite rude in fact!

Found what I was looking for. Needed a toilet handle and ordered online picked up 2 hours later.

Anna was so helpful, she couldn’t have done more. Guiding to the item I wanted. She is a pleasant and delightful member of your staff. She went over and above

I visited the store in Upton, Wirral today and was kept waiting almost 15 mins to buy my item. There was only one member of staff available who was dealing with everything on her own. She was on a long phone call when I joined the queue, then she had to deal with a complex refund which took ages. There were at least 6 people queuing behind me at this point, who were all getting a bit agitated with the wait.
The member of staff told me and others that she was always the only one at "front of house" on a Friday and nobody else was available to call - so not a one-off.

Having just one member of staff who is serving and is also having to deal with phone calls, refunds & other customer service issues is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE. Homebase need to review their staffing policy and at the very least have someone else available when necessary.

The lady was on her own dealing with many people.
She was lovely. Very polite and helpful.
Need to employ more staff.

Easy to order and pay online and quick to collect

I ordered Minster willow trellis and it’s good quality so I am very pleased. Dispatch and delivery was good and price of delivery ok.

Disappointed as found the two base weights weren’t included but you had them on offer for £12 each but when I went to look for them I was informed you had none left. 😩

Visited Upton Wirral Homebase today.
The customer service given be Bee was exceptional, dealt with my enquiry effectively and was extremely helpful in trying to locate a particular product from an alternative store. I caused a line of customers waiting to pay and Bee effectively dispersed the queues by her ability to use the headset to arrange additional colleagues to attend to other customers - First class service. Thanks Bee

The quality of the plants sold by Homebase is absolutely shocking. I spent a fortune on plants and all but one have died in just 3 weeks. I must point out that the plants were all the same plant type and have all been cared for in exactly the same way. I'll also point out that I bought replacement plants (the same plant type - hydrangeas) from another store and they are excellent. Don't waste your money here.

Debbie and Lorraine were so helpful and kind thanks to Debbie for bringing items out to the car for me as it was heavy I’d not long ago had a cesarean. Thank you so much for your help.
Shame the manager ‘mark’ didn’t extend the same customer service and made remarks like ‘it’s not that heavy’ - luckily he will never understand what a cesarean feels like!

Good service even though the lady was on her own on the customer service desk, she sailed through all the people waiting quickly and efficiently especially when we all wanted different things like click and collect and general sales.
