Grumpy staff member…
Bird bath I ordered was very obviously broken tho the staff member presented it without comment. He had to ask me four times for my order number as he was engaged with another assistant on the computer. Was offhand when I pointed out the break. He asked another assistant to see if there was another birdbath. The other assistant found one and was very helpful showing me how it assembled and advising best way to travel it in the car.

Don't buy online...go and see it and check it out first
Sadly...I was disappointed...the wee table top was not straight....it was slanted....I've had to put rubber on the surface to stop a potential hazzard, with a cup or glass tipping off. Price was great £19.99....not worth the hassle to change it over...other than that it would have been perfect

Outstanding service
Couldn’t find a set of Christmas lights, so I asked for help from the man on the Christmas area, who was extremely helpful and found the correct ones straight away and then he also helped me pick a tree. He was very polite and chatty and made me feel like he wanted to help me and not the usual robotic service you receive in shops these days. I then asked if I could speak to the manager at the checkouts so I could let them know how great the service had been and the lady pointed out that the man who had served me, actually was the manager himself, so I was very pleased to know that he had taken the time to help me, especially when he could have just sent someone else. Will definitely be back and love shopping in Homebase and my local store in Edinburgh.
