I ordered the VolanteX RC plane for £100 and the product quality is awful. We've had better products for £15! Shipping was delayed, and they falsely lead you to believe they have positive reviews. We are returning this product for a full refund

Ordered 3 esc but only 2 received, informed customer service on the same day of arrival. Requested I sent photos of packaging etc etc. Have been dealing with a person called “Sally” in, so called, customer service. She said what they shipped was correct, which basically was calling me a liar, which I did not accept and made my blood boil. After about 30 emails, yes 30, Sally would not budge. And the claim was for only for £5.60 esc. Sally is certainly not very business savvy, but very good a loosing customers quickly.
And my previous orders over the years totalled, circa £3000
I would have liked to escalated this to new CEO Richard Mitchell but he left HK in May 2026
He most probably had enough as well

HobbyKing do not allow poor reviews on their own website. They just refuse to publish them.
An order for a Flywing Helicopter was shipped only as far as the Chinese Mainland where there was a problem. It took six weeks to start the return process. It was a birthday present so I demanded a refund. Still not confirmed despite completely screwing up the birthday. Last thing was a credit note in lieu of a cash refund. We are still in dialogue but for an order placed on the 24 April they have no idea what customer service is!

I contacted them about a bad EDF unit in my Vampire. They have ordered me a new one. HobbyKing customer support has always been helpful.

I have relied on Hobbyking for my Turnigy battery supplies for over 5 years and I have never had any problems with their speed and resolution to any faulty batteries I have had within the warranty period.

Well ive been waiting for my delivery for about 3 and a half weeks disappointed I got my battery's, no charger or battery connectors...

The order was for 2 items on 27 April - batteries from you, and connectors from your brands direct facility.
The batteries arrived promptly. The connectors have not been heard from, despite several follow up emails and a please be patient remark from you.
Your brands direct source is really a bust and drags your rating down.

Bought many items over the years, over 85% failed and the older parts just kept working on (from other stores)

A lot of the stuff is super cheap for a reason, it's not worth buying ten rubbish items it's best to buy one great item.

Tried to unsubscribe for a few years now, still get their spam emails.

The latest with discounts spam email. Wait....
Click all the links and the prices are FAKE all inflated and dishonest.

Their home brands do not buy, had ALL their batteries fail, and many puffed up massive.

All charged with hi-end digital chargers

The batteries I had 5-10 years older still are working fine with the two charges.
They discharge and charge and monitor the battery cells etc.

I purchased the Avios 300 3D plane and have been satisfied with it, although now it's as expensive as better quality planes from other companies. I'm very dissatisfied about the length of time Hobbyking takes to get out of stock parts.
