Very good experience with Himalaya. Picked a mid budget carpet for spare room. Very good price, good quality and quick fitting. I would definitely recommend and use Himalaya again

Good choice and service
Found the carpet I needed at a reasonable price with fitting included and no hidden charges. The fitters arrived on time and cleared up all off cuts and we're done and dusted within an hour. No complaints at all. I'd use them again.

Bad fitter, stay clear of them
I used their services in the past and was happy with them. This time the store purchase was ok, no issues but it was the fitters.
I often use them to buy carpets from them but this time their fitter, they know the name, was a nightmare. First this oversmart fitter asked me to take off low hanging lights, which of course I couldnt. Then he put my brand new carpet on the dirty drive outside where the cats were parked, when I asked him what is he doing as all the dirt from the drive, where the cars are parked will be put on the new carpet, this unprofessional defended it and said we do this everywhere. Then inspite of my repeated calls to bring shoe covers, he didn't and was coming and going outside multiple times and putting his filthy shoes on my new carpets. After that this careless cowboy broke my skirting and when I asked him to fix it, he said you can buy silicone from b&q and fix it. He further scratched my front door and in the morning, when I looked outside, this scumbag left screws on my drive, even though I asked them to check specifically for screws etc in the drive, as my cars are parked there and where they had all their fitting filth, but he said there's nothing there. He left a bag full of carpet threads on my carpet that took me two hours to hoover, even though the traders clean up their own mess.Such was the story of this disgusting fitter of Himalaya carpets and when I called them up to tell all this, all I could hear was sorry sir...wat a laugh....anyway I will not use their services anymore, tell my all friends and family to stay clear of them, as in the past I recommended many to them...but now use Carpetright, Tapi carpets or Cosi Carpets or another but not them...unless u want to face all of the above.
The reply from the business is a bundle of lies, the fitter put the new carpet on the dirty drive, then I went out and put my old carpets on the drive and asked the clown to put the new one on the old. He also did no take off his dirty shoes inspite of my repeated reminders and kept climbing on the new carpets with his filthy joggers, also he broke the skirting. Carpet is loose only after few months and left a huge mess...very surprising how these dodgy businesses lie on our face...Shame...

We apologise for the experience you have stated occurred.
We have spoken to our fitter and wish to clarify the points you have raised.
The fitters required a large space to cut your carpet as there was insufficient space indoors. They did place you carpet face up on your existing carpet, that had been removed to protect your carpet. No dirt was on the carpet when fitted. Our fitters only wore shoes when they were fitting the grippers which have pins and is required for safety. Our fitter removed his shoes when he started actually laying your carpet. Two of your bedrooms had skirting drilled and plugged and were secure. When our fitter began fitting your third bedroom the skirting was only glued and loose. Our fitter informed you that when bolstering, the skirting was moving because of this which you accepted this and said you would take care of later. Our fitter simply advised that some filler from B and Q would do the job was not intending to be rude. The fitting of carpet naturally leaves threads. Our fitters do not hoover this as the carpet should be left for an hour or so to settle down and then the customer can hoover later. When all the fitting was complete you were happy with our job and you signed a satisfactory note.
As a valued customer we have rang you to allow us to come and inspect the carpet and other issues and if we are at fault we will make good on anything that is needed. We understand that you will ring us to provide a convenient day .
Once again we thank you for you custom and as an old customer and seeing that we will out of our way to resolve any issues that you will recommend us.

Excellent. Good value for money.
Purchased carpets which came with free fitting and underlay. Store staff really helpful, helping us make the right choice. Fitters arrived promptly on the day as booked and fitted the carpets.
Have previously purchased from Himalaya carpets before and as usual quality was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Not Satisfied with Fitters and fitting
Hi Team,
I had very bad experience with Himalaya carpet. First of all fitters did not arrived at time and when they arrived they were in so hurry that they did fitting so quickly that was not proper. They fell down while bringing carpet in. They were wearing shoes and spoiled entire room while walking. After fitting when asked to clean they did not do it and went without cleaning. When asked to do proper cutting on side they did not do that and most of the pieces were wasted due to improper measurements.
I felt fitters were not quite experienced. I asked them to take proper measurements of my door before fitting. They have fitted the carpet without trimming and now door is not getting open and closed.

Excellent service all round
All staff at Himalaya are really helpful, they listen and help to make decisions they are very polite and are not pushy in anyway.
Carpets are good quality, reasonable prices, expert fitting service, good customer relations.

we have bought carpet from himalaya…nave again
we have bought carpet from himalaya carpet slough, the sales man mr Balraj is good salesman, we have delt with him take old carpet, move the goods if required, fix doors if need to cut or grinding. but fitters un experienced, any thig ask to do, answer is not our job.they left all the mess and nails every where on carpet. one nail went to my wife's foot. they left door un fixed, never go again himalay carpet, also they ask money advance,so we paid it

Dear Mr Sukhdev we apologies for inconvence you had. Upon completion of the fitting we do ask customer to hoover the cut tufts' of the carpet after an hour once the carpet has settled. Our fitter was unable to cut the door at the time as he did not have the required blade for your solid doors. This was done 2 days later, and again we apologise for the inconvence. We trust you are enjoying your new carpet and look forward to your further custom which will personally be over seen.
