I am a gold club member and they didn't have everything ready and they made me wait at least 30 minutes for them to clean the inside only the outside was dirty including the windows

The vehicle was in bad shape

This location is disorganized. The representative would not change my reservation even though they did not have the class of vehicle that I reserved. He stated it could not be changed but he could not give me what I was paying for. I did not have time to go somewhere else or wait for a different vehicle to be cleaned.

I rented an SUV and received a compact SUV, which I could have selected when I made the reservation for less per day. The check in person kept leaving the desk to check with his manager in the back room, and as the line grew, the manager never appeared. The check in process was long. Drop off was easy since I left the keys on the counter BC there was another long line.

I love coming here. The service is always good. I prefer this location the most out of all the local ones near me.

Everything went very well; I really like the service.

Jay, hertz manager of Plainfield, Illinois acted against the better interest of Hertz and decided to try to cause a catastrophe for my company. I had to get a customer service agent from Hertz to help. She ended up having to raise her voice to Pavel, who was the communicator for Jay, who stayed in the back with what sounded like multiple other people. After multiple attempts to reason with him she ended up having to raise her voice on speakerphone in front of the other customers and say “why are you not helping the customer, why is the customer standing there waiting for their rental?” Turns out there were no problems with the system updating and they rented me a vehicle. We had a reservation for a vehicle they didn’t have in stock, and at “the managers discretion” refused to give me another vehicle without making a new reservation for a vehicle they did have in stock They said they only had mini vans, which were more expensive than the full size we had reserved. On top of everything the manager put me in a compact SUV (which they supposedly didn’t have) and charged the mini van price. He gave me the compact SUV with low tire pressure on the front right tire, which the dashboard was warning about. I believe he wanted me to bring the car back for air, and then he could take the car out of service and leave me without a car again. This was his goal. We were using the vehicle to work for Meals on Wheels in Kendall County, and Jay decided to take me out of the field for that day. The only reason it wasn’t longer is because of the Hertz CUstomer Service Representative. Thank God for her!

My experience with Hertz was extremely frustrating, although I do appreciate that the charge was ultimately corrected.

My original reservation was Saturday through Friday for $351.18, including a promotional discount. I fully intended to return the vehicle Friday, but unfortunately we did not make it back before Hertz closed, so the vehicle was returned Saturday.

I attempted to contact Hertz multiple times to explain the situation, but unfortunately could not get anyone on the phone. I then tried to make the adjustment through the Hertz app. The system would not honor my original promotional pricing, and even when I tried to return the reservation to the original Saturday-to-Friday dates, it would not go back to the original $351.18. Instead, it changed to $371.08.

I even chatted with a Hertz representative through the app, and I was told that this was what the system was doing and that there was no way to get the rental back to the original $351.18. At that point, I was completely over it and accepted the $371.08 price. I was willing to pay the additional $20 because I just wanted the situation resolved.

What I absolutely did not expect was to ultimately be charged $965.43.

Thankfully, I had screenshots of my original reservation and pricing, including the promotional discount. After contacting Hertz and providing my documentation, the charge was corrected. I am currently waiting for the adjustment to reflect back on my account.

I appreciate Hertz ultimately correcting the issue, but the entire experience was unnecessarily frustrating. The app should not make it so difficult to adjust a reservation, promotions should be handled consistently, and customers should be able to reach someone when there is a significant billing issue.

I was willing to accept $371.08. I was not expecting or agreeing to a $965.43 charge.

It’s too much to explain. If you would ever answer my numerous emails, it would make my experience a lot better. At this point I’m thinking twice about using you again for my next 2 big trips!

Employees Friendly, Rates Were Good. Service, Waiting Times Good.

Excellent Service. Made me feel like my business was appreciated--a real person and not just a number.
Special note of appreciation to Veranda(sp??). Very professional and went extra mile to walk out to the rental car to make sure all was in order and I was satisfied.

Staff was rude and had to wait over 10 min just to be acknowledged. Poor way of doing business.

Hertz need to provide a complete total cuote with taxes and all the charges so customers know exactly what they're paying for after the car is return. I bet you if you will be more clear on the total amount that customers are paying for car rentals you will gain a lot more customers
