Hertz - Norwalk - Main Street Recenzje

It took over an hour when I went to pick up the car. There was one guy working there and 3 people ahead of me in the line. The one worker was also the person cleaning the cars...hence the long wait.

Professional. Personable.

I don't often rent from Hertz but the location in Norwalk, CT was incredibly convenient. The friendly staff got me into my car quickly. Hertz is a brand I can trust.

At pickup you didnt have cars ready even though I reserved a specific car. I was lucky to be first one in line but others were more mad than me. At drop off, I dropped it off the evening before and put keys in the Hertz drop off slot. At 10am the following day they asked where the car was and even charged us an extra day. This Norwalk location needs help!!!

The customer service was appalling. The gentleman who assisted me seems to hate women and interacting with them. I was not greeted. He lost his patience with me almost immediately and barked responses at me. I was the only person in the store with him and began to question if I should leave. I had to repeatedly ask him to remain calm and suggested we take a breath and start over. I don’t even know what the issue was- I seemed to irritate him merely by existing in his presence. I questioned the car offered because it was not what I had reserved and he became very agitated. If I had not needed the vehicle that day and had any other reasonable alternative I would have cancelled and left.
This person should not be interacting with customers. I would never revisit this location again and would not use Hertz again. I would leave 0 stars if possible. The return experience to a different location was fine, and the people there were kind.

They had no cars. Ended up late to my meeting

We rented a suv that was perfect for our needs.

I have rented vehicles from Hertz and other companies at airports across Australia, New Zealand, and Norway. Here is the complete comparison, with all amounts converted to USD:

# Country Company Airport Days Daily Rate (USD) Total (USD) Airport/Venue Fee (USD)
1 Australia Hertz Perth 7 $36.37 $305.60 $18.15
2 Australia Hertz Adelaide 7 $29.31 $371.33 $0
3 Australia Budget Brisbane 3 $41.18 $247.66 $0
4 New Zealand Apex Auckland 7 $38.66 $780.01 $0
5 New Zealand Apex Auckland 7 $30.48 $609.36 $0
6 New Zealand Europcar Auckland 7 $34.89 $716.62 $0
7 New Zealand Hertz Christchurch 7 $67.86 $752.73 $22.46
8 New Zealand Hertz Auckland 4 $58.79 $324.61 $0
9 Norway Hertz Evenes 8 $96.01 $1,706.70 $177.65
The numbers speak for themselves:

The Norwegian venue fee of $177.65 is 9.8 times the Australian Hertz airport fee ($18.15)

The Norwegian venue fee is 7.9 times the New Zealand Hertz airport fee ($22.46)

7 out of 9 airport-to-airport rentals charged $0 in airport/venue fees

Even within Hertz's own global operations, the Norwegian fee is an extreme outlier:

Hertz Australia: $0 - $18.15
Hertz New Zealand: $0 - $22.46
Hertz Norway: $177.65 — 8-10 times higher than any other Hertz location
The Norwegian daily rate ($96.01) is 2.2 times the average of my other rentals ($43.45)

The Norwegian total cost ($1,706.70) is 3.2 times the average of my other rentals ($538.49)

This fee is not a standard industry charge. It is a localized practice at Evenes Airport that exploits foreign tourists who cannot read Norwegian.
