I’m President’s Circle. I use Hertz at El Paso least four times per year. This was the first time that I was not allowed to pick any vehicle — I was only allowed to pick from a few. The vehicle I picked had California plates. I did not look at the license plates. Driving back from Marfa, Texas I was stopped by a Trooper not for speeding but because I was from California, the license plates. No ticket but an official warning for not moving to the passing lane from the slow lane — in Texas if a public safety vehicle has lights on, on the side of the road, you’re required to move to the passing lane. I was in a line of cars and no one moved, but again because my rental car had California plates! Lesson learned - check license plates at rental.

I reserved a Kia sedan for reasons of economy, roughly $400 for a week rental. When I arrived about 8 PM that car class was not available and I was told to take any vehicle in President’s Circle. As a result, I was forced into an upgrade, that I did not need. The total rental cost went to $700 from the reserved $400. The local Hertz staff said they could do nothing about and to call the 800 number. Do not use Hertz at ELP.

Hertz is the easiest when it comes to renting a car. After the initial set up renting is a breeze. You get off the plane and go to the gold board to find your name. Grab your car of choice and off you go. Most other rental companies make you wait… and wait.

The service at the El Paso International Airport was exceptional, especially the manager. I don’t recall his name, but he’s a tall, male, glasses-wearing individual. Thank you for your attention to detail.

Always have a positive experience when renting from hertz. It’s quick and easy to pick the car also to return it.
Best to become a member and check in online then just go to the car you’re ans on the board and drive off, no lines to wait in.
