It’s more than a hat shop, they’ve built an amazing community. You walk in, are greeted immediately, there’s often live music being performed in the store and you’ll be offered a drink. When I asked “Is this heaven?” They said “Close, it’s Texas. Welcome to Herb’s.” 😀
The owner (Kay Maynard) and her expert staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and helped me pick out the right hat and hat color for my needs. They educated me about the different hat makers behind the brands, what they’re known for and the nuances to each style. When we found the perfect hat for me, they custom fit it to me and custom shaped it by hand.
I live in Portland Maine and was flying home later that day so they offered to ship me my hat so it wasn’t one more thing for me to carry.
An all around amazing experience by any standard. They have my business for life.
