I have no complaint about the girls whatsoever. However the whole deal ended up costing me £50 per hour, per cleaner. The house was clean when they left but it was, most definitely not the deep clean I thought I was paying for. I didn't read the reviews on here until after I had booked and several people have made the same observation. Haus Maids are extortionately expensive.

Used the Basingstoke team for three weeks to clean our home, as my wife has a terminal illness and we wanted to spend our time making memories, not cleaning. Week one they promised everything and delivered, weeks two and three were appalling and left us with areas uncleaned that I had to sort out, communication was minimal, no apology, and they still wanted paying in full!!! So they have added additional stress to our lives, exactly the opposite of what we need. Will not use again.

Found Haus Maids (Cheltenham) from online reviews, including trustpilot, and wasn’t disappointed! They were professional right from the off -initial inquiry- to engagement and fulfilment. The team sent to us on very short notice (& in very hot weather I might add) were professional, efficient, polite and thorough. Very happy with their service and helpfulness.

Similar to all the other one star reviews, mine is reagrding the ridiculous prices.

Linnet (Cheltenham) conducted a WhatsApp video call of our home to determine the cost of future cleans. She requested payment in advance for the initial clean. We expected she had made a fair and accurate assessment of the time needed to complete the work based upon the size and condition of the home, and the tasks they perform.

The initial clean was done surprisingly quickly. They did a total of 2 hours 40 minutes work for an invoiced £186. Yes, that’s £70 an hour. When questioned with Linnet, she indicated it was a reflection of how efficient they are rather than a problem with her cost assessment.

The cleaners returned two weeks later for the regular clean. This time they only cleaned for 1 hour and 10 minutes (two cleaners for 35 minutes). This is a four bedroom house with two bathrooms and a laundry room.

We were charged £114 for that work. That is a whopping £97 an hour. When questioned with Linnet whether she still stood by her original quotes, she did not respond.

I’ll let the reader decide whether:
1. £97 an hour is a reasonable rate for cleaning services.
2. A four bedroom house can be cleaned to the highest standards in just over an hour.

Update: After complaing about the above She did offer to reduce the fee to £96 but that’s still over £80 an hour. She did not offer to reduce the charge for the work already done. H0owever after contacting Head Office, she voided the invoice. We have cancelled the contract.

Cecilia and her team did a great job whilst my wife was recovering from an illness and I would highly recommend her.

My partner recently used their services for an end of tenancy clean. They accommodated us at short notice, and the work was completed to a high standard. We do not hesitate to recommend their services.

Terribly disappointed with the service provided by HM Farnham . Had been expecting a deep clean for the first visit and two energetic and pleasant girls turned up with equipment (A Hetty and a red bucket and mop) I didnt see the cleaning products. They asked me if I had soapy wood cleaner for the old wooden floors which I was able to provide. I had specifically asked the question about the wooden floors and had been assured a suitable product would be provided. I had thought it might take around 3 hours to deep clean the house....after 1.5 hrs the girls said they had finished and were off! I expressed surprise and was asked if I wanted to check the work.I didn't because the floor was wet. The job was not a deep clean- too many areas missed out and many items not cleaned. Lampshades dusty and paintwork smears, chrome in bathrooms and under basins grimy. We know its impossible to deep clean this house in that time. Its not the girls fault. We invited the owner to come along and inspect but she steadfastly refused. The price was ridiculous at £192!
I suggested that I was prepared to pay for a normal clean at £114 which was accepted and I was sent the balance. Obviously I will not be using HM in the future. WHY would you pay an agency more than the cleaners get? They would have got £54 and HM £60 for that clean....I note that they blame the cleaners and offer for them to come back out to make amends. My view is that they do not give them enough money and certainly do not allow enough time.....To add insult to injury they pass the buck to us to complain direct to the cleaners where we are meant to be developing a personalis!ed relationship. Why should we do HMs dirty work?!!

Absolutely outstanding service from Haus Maids Farnham. The team was professional, punctual, and incredibly thorough. They paid attention to every detail and left my home spotless and fresh. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and they went above and beyond my expectations. Very nice team cleaned for my elderly mother. They cleaned to a good standard and were helpful and respectful of her home. Communication from the office was excellent.

I have used Haus Maids for our family home in Godalming for the past 5 years, they have been fantastic. Compared to the previous company we use the difference was that they turned up when they said they would, communication on point and the actual cleaning was always to a high standard. I would have no hesitation to recommend Haus Maids to my friends and neighbours in Godalming. We started with a weekly clean, but ended up going every two weeks. Over the years I have also used them for one off cleans when we had gatherings at our home.

I called Haus Maids (Farnham) as our long-term cleaner of 14 years retired, and we were looking for a weekly domestic cleaner. After taking all of my details and what we required in a lengthy initial phone call, I was told that I couldn’t be given a price for the cleaning as they don’t work on an hourly rate. Therefore, a WhatsApp App video call was scheduled with someone to show them briefly around our home, and cover what we required doing to receive a quote.
They called as arranged and from the very start of the call came across curt and dismissive. The lady kept her camera off, stating she was having “issues with her video”, and so the call felt intrusive and uncomfortable. I was told that they price the cleaning according to the size of the property, not based on an hourly rate, regardless of what cleaning jobs we wanted doing. We were then quoted £70 for the job, when we had been paying £36-£42 a week for 2 hours with other cleaning service providers. I explained that although we have a 4 bedroom home, my husband and I live together just with our dog and only one bedroom, one bathroom, our downstairs loo, hallway, and main living space required cleaning. We do not need any kitchen cleaning, and the job entailed cleaning our bathroom, downstairs loo, hoovering our bedroom, hallway, and stairs, hoovering and mopping the hard floor main living space downstairs, and some light dusting in places. Still, they insisted there was no room for manoeuvre on the cost quoted, which seemed very high indeed for the job.
Regardless of the size of the property, I feel the price should be based on an hourly rate as it is likely that more time would be spent at a larger property, if required/needed. Not quoting based on an hourly rate also leaves the potential for the cleaner to rush, and compromise on standards. The lady I spoke to was extremely abrasive, leaving me feeling unheard and dismissed. I certainly wouldn’t recommend Haus Maids. Cleaning staff are highly valuable and often work hard, and yes, deserve to be paid a reasonable hourly rate. However, the pricing structure and customer service I encountered upon reaching out to Haus Maids was unsettling and not a nice experience.
We have now found another cleaning service provider who are fulfilling our needs efficiently and doing far more than I asked of Haus Maids in the video consultation, while working within our budget. Plus, they are very friendly too, unlike Haus Maids. I think this company need to rethink their pricing structure and customer service standards. Given the numerous poor reviews I’ve read for this company, clearly others agree.

I am beyond disappointed with Haus Maids (Farnham). We booked them to help my elderly parents while their regular cleaner was away, paying a staggering £180 for just 1.5 hours of “work” across four rooms.

The results were appalling. One cleaner did a reasonable job in a single room, but the second was found on her mobile phone and even looked irritated when my mother approached her. Despite confidently assuring us that the kitchen and dining room had been “thoroughly vacuumed and all surfaces wiped,” they were left in a disgusting state. The washing up was ignored, the surfaces were still filthy, and there was even rubbish left on the counters and tables. To top it off, they unrolled a spool of ribbon for no apparent reason and left it in a heap on the dining table without explanation or apology.

When my sister complained, the response was cold and dismissive. They simply said they were “disappointed” we wouldn’t use them again and would use the photos of the terrible job they did as “learning.” There was no genuine apology, no offer of a refund, and no acknowledgement of how badly they had failed two vulnerable people.

Haus Maids heavily promotes a “100% Satisfaction Guarantee,” yet they never once offered to re-clean or fix the mess they left. Even if they had, we wouldn’t have them back after such blatant laziness and disrespect for my parents’ home.

Perhaps they’re fine for empty end of tenancy cleans, but I would NEVER recommend them for an occupied home. If you can’t stand over them and inspect every room before they leave, you’ll be left out of pocket and with a house that is still dirty. Totally unprofessional.

Being able to do an initial consultant via video call was a really great benefit, we were able to do it in the vending to work around work schedules. The communication beforehand has been very clear as Jo and Faye who turned up to do the initial clean were not only very thorough in their work but also lovely and friendly. Very impressed so far!

The team were booked for my parents house move date which changed a few times but was all no issue. On the day the movers were behind schedule and the lovely ladies stayed and did a great job, they went over and above. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Jo and Fae did an amazing job on our initial clean, the house was left looking amazing with not a single speck of dust in sight! They were both really friendly and left our (slightly cluttered) kitchen looking like it did when we moved in!
