Iv tried to use this company on several occasions as the website it so well set out. My 1st attempt was ordering an ideal lux harness. I was told ideal are up to 14 days order time. Almost a month later parts still hadn’t arrived. Eventually agreed on a refund which I had to chase on several occasions eventually receiving almost 3 weeks later. I ordered the harness else where and received within 6 days, this was ordered directly from ideal. A few months later I placed a mixed order of driving sundries which again took weeks. I placed another order in January of lead ropes, driving apron and pads etc. I was emailed 12 days after my order to say them items would be on there way with a few days. 2 weeks later nothing. At this point I got in touch. I’d placed the same items back in my basket and was offered a 9% off voucher of which I sent screen shots, I asked if this could be applied to the order as I’d had such a long wait and was told no. Even though the items were exactly the same. I asked why it was taking so long and was told zilco items can take 28 days at which point I asked why things such as the ideal gloves, lead ropes, martingale stops etc etc couldn’t have been posted - no response. I’d have thought after such a long wait there customer service would have stepped up etc. Sad to say I won’t be using this company again and I’d recommend people to stay clear.

I would not call £166 a small order. In fact it qualifies for free delivery of £50 more than 3 times over. So yes you could and should have split the order when it took 29 days from order to delivery.

As for the voucher you could have refunded it if you really wanted to.

As for communication I received an email only after I emailed you which stated my order would be with me in a few days. 14 days later it wasn’t!

3rd order £166.57

Iv read most of these reviews and the only thing it high lights to include your responses is poor customer service and your inability to put things right.

Excellent service

Quick delivery, good price

Helpful advice. Quick delivery. Decent prices. Need to return one item, but hoping that will go okay.

The products were fine, from order to delivery took nearly 3 weeks. Yes, it clearly states in the small print it could take up to 28 days.
It appears if you are a new customer, pretty much immediately after you have placed your order you receive an offer voucher for 7% off if you purchase more items. The trouble with this is you are given just 24 hours from the email to do so until the voucher expires. As a customer, I perceive this "gesture" as a hollow one that Harnessstuff know is very unlikely to be used. I found I was quite annoyed by this "gesture" and for me, it has tainted this transaction and is what I will remember. I've deducted two stars simply because of this.
I would recommend Harnessstuff either do not give this hollow gesture at all or give the voucher say 2 weeks to expire (as many businesses do) to make it mean something.
