We spent a long time reviewing the market for a reputable company to take care of the delivery of our pride and joy from Ellös in Sweden to the South Coast of the UK. We could have saved a lot of time by approaching Halcyon first. From the very first engagement, to the mooring up at her home port and leaving her in immaculate condition, the service was second to none.

Our selection criteria was relatively simple. Firstly, safety of crew and boat, a timely delivery on budget and finally a highly knowledgeable, calm, confident and experienced skipper and crew.

Graham (Skipper) and Sarah both exceeded expectations. They also introduced a huge amount of fun to the maiden voyage, and it was a pleasure to share the journey with them.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Halcyon Yachts.

This is my second experience of working with Halycon and the second time they’ve exceeded my expectations. When my boat Bernice had accident of broken boom he managed emergency action and temporary repair and carried out the voyage to Cartagena without any further damage.
After he arrived at the Yacht Port Cartagena he has done lots of contacts with boom maker and got correct contact point.
I hope he pay attention until the repair are completed.

I recently had the pleasure asking Halcyon yachts to do a yacht delivery from Dover to Dartmouth aboard my Tradewind 35 sailing yacht, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Pete the skipper and Mike were outstanding—knowledgeable, calm, and clearly passionate about what they do. I felt completely confident in their hands throughout the passage.
We started out with a steady, lively wind which gave us some brilliant sailing early on. As we progressed, the breeze lightened up, but the mood stayed high and the boat handled beautifully in the conditions we experienced. The nights were especially memorable—crystal clear skies, stars overhead, and a crisp chill in the air that reminded us it was spring.
All in all, the trip was not just a delivery, but a real sailing experience. Fabulous conditions, good company, and a smooth, well-managed passage. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone looking for a professional and enjoyable yacht delivery.

Writing this as a parent whose son embarked on the Career Development Programme (CDP) having qualified as a Yachtmaster Offshore Skipper at the age of 21 and wishing to go professional. The Halcyon CDP has proven to be an invaluable first step. Well over the promised 12000Nm covered in 12 months with trans-ocean experiences including the Pacific. He has bonded with his mentor, a highly experienced skipper with industry reputation whom he trusts and from whom he is able to seek excellent counsel as well as advocacy when applying for roles. The backing of Halcyon reputation, the CV demonstrating his investment in building experience and skills, the mentorship - not to mention the life experiences - have set him up well and he has throughly enjoyed serving Halcyon and their clients. I am delighted too of course!

We contracted Halcyon to deliver our Fleming 78 from Nassau, Bahamas to Annapolis, United States ahead of the hurricane season.

Deciding to hand your pride and joy over to somebody you don't know is nerve-wracking, but from the first email with Halcyon it was clear that they are a well-run and professional outfit.

Communication ahead of the trip was excellent and allayed all concerns.The crew arrived into Nassau promptly and with plenty of enthusiasm for a thorough handover, and I received several updates on their progress once underway.

I couldn't meet the yacht at the other end but a week later I returned to find her perfectly presented and very well looked after.

Huge thanks to everybody at Halcyon, but particularly to our delivery crew: John, Richard, Juergen and Tom!

I am writing to express my highest commendation for Andy Barker, the captain who recently assisted with the delivery of my Hallberg-Rassy 340 from Ellös, Sweden, to Eemshaven for transport to West Palm Beach. Throughout the entire process, Andy demonstrated exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and experience. I couldn’t be happier with his performance.
Our journey was not without its challenges. At one point, we lost all power on the yacht, and while many might have panicked, Andy remained composed and began troubleshooting immediately. His calm demeanor in a moment of crisis was unparalleled. Not only did he identify the issue quickly, but his approach reassured me that we were in the best possible hands.
Andy also has an incredible knack for teaching. He explains complex technical matters in such a simple, accessible way. His ability to break down complicated topics made the entire experience not just informative but enjoyable. Whether it was resolving an issue with the yacht’s head or troubleshooting mechanical problems, Andy addressed every challenge with precision and efficiency.
One of Andy's strongest traits is his leadership. He is firm in command yet always calm and approachable. His communication skills are top-notch, and he kept me well-informed throughout every step of the delivery. In fact, after reaching Eemshaven, Andy remained with my yacht to ensure she was safely loaded onto the transport vessel. He documented the entire process, providing me with peace of mind.
I can confidently say that Andy Barker is the ideal person for this job. His professionalism, expertise, and personable nature exceeded all my expectations. Excellent, efficient and friendly service, I would definitely recommend Halcyon.

The entire process from 1st contact until the delivery of our yacht was completed. The skipper and crew were very professional and communicative both prior to and during the delivery. We would happily recommend Halcyon to anyone needing yacht delivery services.

My partner and I are experienced sailors, but now in our 70s. So when we had to move our newly acquired boat, a Vancouver 34, from Largs to its new home port in Portsmouth we made a seamanlike decision and approached Halcyon for the added assurance and help of a pro skipper. They supplied us with Anthony. Our passage plan was dominated by the weather and currents associated with Irish Sea and Lands End, and also the requirement that there would be only two watch keepers - Anthony and I - if we did any sections over 12hrs. In the event, we did one non-stop 3 day sail from Bangor NI to Falmouth, and over 12 days we managed to keep the other legs down to a max of 12 hrs. We were absolutely delighted to have Anthony's assistance. He was the epitome of professionalism. He had a “can do” attitude - so nothing was too much trouble, whether it was contorting into the engine compartment to complete daily checks, or unravelling newly installed reefing lines at the mast. Given that we are a sailing couple, and if we were in port, he was discrete and managed to absent himself to give us time on our own. Although I have sailed thousands of miles it was a particular pleasure to sail with an actual expert. So I had the added value of being able to confer with, and learn from Anthony over passage planning, sailing decisions, and the growing list of "jobs to-do" to refurbish our boat. It was a pleasure to sail with Anthony and to achieve our goals for this stage of our journey with our new boat. 🏆
