Excellent Service
For the 3 individual deliveries we have had over a few years I can't fault the Plymouth depot service. Communication and delivery has been excellent. Arriving on time and the driver going beyond a basic delivery service which is so helpful.
Failed collection
Booked a pallet for collection/delivery for next day service. Payment taken. Pallet not collected. Unable to contact North Tawton or Cullompton depots over a period of 3 days. No reply to enquiries emails.
Pallet still waiting for collection.
Previously used service without issue.
Driver went above and beyond
We have just taken delivery of a heavy pallet of paving slabs to our property with very difficult access and we cannot fault the driver, Chris Lock, who went above and beyond to make a successful delivery. We're beyond delighted and cannot thank him enough!
Good company to work for
As an agency HGV driver, this is a great company to work for compared to others I won't mention. Good staff and company goes the extra mile to ensure equipment is well serviced and up to spec. It's always telling when a lot of the staff have worked there a long time. Really friendly bunch of people
Picked up a mower being returned to…
Picked up a mower being returned to Mowdirect. At the time of pickup I asked the driver for any paper work or a tracking number. He said he didn't have anything and that he received a text to tell him to do the pick up and that I should take a photo of the pickup truck. I did this as evidence of the pickup. Called Gregory a couple of days later and asked for the confirmation of delivery. They said they couldn't look up the delivery even when supplied with the pick up address, delivery address and the license plate of the truck that did the pickup. They told me I had to get the rec number from Mowdirect for the pickup. Of course after numerous attempts to get this information from Mowdirect and several weeks later I am now 1,000 out of pocket, no mower, and the return can't be processed because I can't provide proof of return delivery. For me this is almost criminal , a haulage company should have some log of a pickup and a delivery and be able to look that information up by the pickup/delivery address, date of pickup and license plate of the pickup truck.
Never work for this employer
After being employed by this company, I am very pleased to have left. Management and HR departments exstreamly poor, very poor care
Can't fault them
Had delivery of heavy pallette today.Phone call from them in advance offering choice of delivery date.Chose today and explained that due to access to street a smaller lorry would be needed. They already had a note on file to deliver with smaller lorry so contact between supplier and haulier clearly good. Only criticism I would make is that you can't pick a deliver slot.Its an all day delivery but that said I got a text early in day telling me delivery time so turned out good in end.The delivery guys were excellent and dropped pallet as close to my side entrance as they could making my job a lot easier in emptying the pallett. Can't fault them.
AVOID: terrible service and concern for items or customer.
Terrible comms from customer service, and it seems within its own company.
Item not delivered on the day it was supposed to; and no contact from office to tell me of this, or that a redelivery had been arranged without me knowing for the following day.
I phoned them at 4pm on the expected date myself to find out where items were. I was told it would be on the morning allocation the following day, but was not actually delivered until after 4pm. The driver could not explain why it wasn't on the morning schedule. I was told the driver would call 30-60 mins before arrival at my address but it turned out I had less then 5 mins as he called while entering the gates of the estate. He also seemed happy to leave items on the roadside if he failed to get pallet through the door; luckily he could and if he wasn't I'd have managed on my own, although there appeared to be no concern of alternative scenarios or options as a potential back up. In all; pretty terrible service. I think items are complete and undamaged but not had time to fully confirm this yet. Avoid.
