Appalling, non-existent service. Book didn't arrive (ordered via Abebooks), tracking number not recognised by Royal Mail, and have not so far replied to three emails. Abebooks terrible at dealing with this as well. Avoid!

Book ordered on 4 March. Still not arrived by 26 March. No response to messages left on voicemail.

Never again. The books arrived quickly but the package was completely open at one end. One book didn't even fit in the bag and clearly never had. The order confirmation also had writing all over it. I've contacted them to complain but have had nothing back in reply. Will never buy from them again.

Paid for 2nd hand book, didnt get confirmation email, then an email saying someone else had bought it at the same time (very unlikely its not a best seller) they would refund via {Market Name}Stupid me shouldve read reviews first

Same old story. They take the money and don't send the book. It's a fraud, and one that Abebooks doesn't seem to want to take any responsibility for. Sustainable model though.

I should have looked at the reviews before ordered. I have the same problem as many with non arrival of books and silence when contacting.

Quick update on my review below. Well done Nationwide, I've already received a refund via my credit card. I ordered a second, very cheap, book on Amazon, which will enable me to leave a snippy 1* review there, where they have a surprisingly high user rating.

Scamtastic? If I’m buying cryptocurrency or a cheap Rolex I’d be checking the veracity of the vendor first. When buying a second hand poetry book? Not previously but I will in future.

Familiar zero star experience with legions of other Greener Book / Abe Books customers; no book, no response to email and a Royal Mail tracking number that doesn’t work.

I’ve submitted a refund claim via my Nationwide credit card. Will report back if this works. Did anyone manage to get a refund directly from Greener or Abe?

Complained through Abe Books, no help, no refund, no acknowledgement.
How many customers are being defrauded of money? There seems to be nothing I can do, except avoid both companies in the future.

I ordered through eBay. Book was described as 'very good book'. It arrived feeling quite damp. The book appeared to have been soaking wet at some point and not dry when shipped. It looked quite aged and seems to be starting to disintegrate now it's dry. I left appropriate feedback, including photos but didn't receive anything in response.
I will avoid this company in future.

I had a similar experience to other reviewers. I ordered a book in November and received an email saying it had been dispatched. When it didn't arrive, I asked for confirmation of when it had been sent and where and received no reply. I then requested a refund but have had no response.

Book never arrived. Tracking number not recognised by Royal Mail. No response to five emails. No response to request for refund. No help from Abe Books and it wouldn't accept any downloaded information which was apparently required to chase the missing book - ie Abe were less than helpful. Do not use this company.

Book did not arrive, emailed to advise and find out where it was, 4 emails ignored. Requested refund several times, all ignored.

Greener books sent a tracking order for the book, but it never worked, and the book never arrived. It is possible they didn't send the book. I emailed to enquire about it, and they did not reply. Avoid using them. Abebooks are complicit by not supporting to chase up the missing order

My book never arrived and the tracking number provided did not work. They never replied after I enquired about where my book was. I purchased through AbeBooks and they had to step in to get me a refund.

Don't buy from them.

Ordered on Amazon 50 plus days ago and received nothing. Amazon wants to play the contact seller game and waste more time for my $40 refund. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

Ordered 3 books via amazon , one arrived no sign of the other 2. Contacted they told me royal mail had delivered. Told them only 1 was delivered, they said they would send the other 2 out to me. Received 1 more no sign of the 3rd one. Recontacted them still no sign of the final one. They are completely unreliable, full of excuses.

Awful, I tried to buy a book. They said the book they had found was in too bad a condition to send it. They promised a refund. No refund arrived. I sent them the details contained in the email. They couldn't identify it. They sent me another email saying I would hear within 48 hours. No email arrived. No refund paid. Avoid this company.
