I went here for a pair of walking boots and callum was super helpful let me know all the ins and outs of each brand and why they are better or not as preferable than others for different types of walking, will be coming again!

I went into the store to follow up on an inquiry about some walking shoes that i was interested in. And while the girl that helped me orginally wasnt there at the time, George was. He was really helpful, provided good advice, brought out a good selection of shoes to try and overall just was very good to deal with. This is just another good experiance for me and my family at this store. I ended up buying a pair of Mendel walking shoes which i used some weeks later through my hike of the Masca Gorge in Tenerife. Their not the cheapest walking shoes and George did show me some cheaper alternatives but i really appreaciated the fact that he took the time to listen to my requirements and concerns and made sure i got the right equipment for my needs (same as the young lady before him). I value that more than the price. Overall, just another good experiance at this store! :)

Vast display of sale goods. However, for my replacement walking shoe requirements, there wasn't a lot of choice. In my infrequent visits, I have always found the staff here to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. On this occasion, Sammy was no exception.

Another great experience at Go Outdoors Bedford. Brittney is so knowledgeable and helped me for the second time to find a coat - this time a long style that will keep me dry in all weather. I hadn’t even considered the brand or style of the coat but it was perfect. If you need some quality advice, pop to Go Outdoors!

I went into the store for a very specific pair of gloves - I couldn’t find the ones I was after, but Sammy searched the full warehouse just to find them for me. And when I couldn’t figure out how to take the packaging off for the life of me, he even lent a hand there! Greatly appreciated.

Walked in the shop felt welcome by 2 woman eilish and liz verry out spoken and kind and you can have a right laugh with them

Very rude and dismissive staff member at the till!
A real shame as we often come in here to this specific store quite often… on the whole the store is well stocked and organised. I must say as well the man at the shoe section was really attentive and friendly.
However.. we wanted to purchase a tent, when we went to the till we asked if we could use Klarna (multiple signs around the store saying they accept it and was even a sign on the actual tent) the young lady serving us didn’t know how to let us use it for the purchase. In other cases I would’ve been okay with it, but instead she had replied to us in a rude manner about using it saying “ I don’t know just use the app” in a really abrupt way, instead of asking a colleague that was right next to her🙃. For the rest of the time serving us she was quite abrupt almost as if she just didn’t want to be there and almost seemed annoyed she had to put in membership details twice. Training for your staff is definitely needed.
Also wanted to add we had thick snow yesterday. Upon arriving in the car park it was completely covered with ice and snow and looked like there was no grit for customers. You couldn’t even see the path outside the store or the parking bays! Wouldn’t be hard for someone to slip/trip or fall.

I really like the Bedford store team. Always helpful, knowledgeable and customer focussed. Kate served me today and helped me immediately. She served me before and has always been super. Thank you!

Great customer service today. I was assisted by Britany and Jakub - they were very patient while I tried on lots of coats that needed unlocking. They were very knowledgeable about the products and could help weigh up the pros and cons of the different styles. I ultimately bought one that I love!

Tyrell assisted us on 02/01/26 and we returned the next day. He remembered me!! He was very knowledgeable and helpful with my purchase of some walking boots…many thanks Tyrell and l look forward to testing them out.

I went into the Bedford store for a mid-warmth down jacket. Sam was helpful, well-informed and friendly. He showed me a variety of items and answered my questions clearly. I bought superb Berghaus jacket for a very reasonable price.

All the staff were very helpful, attentive and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble, your colleague Liz served us very well on the 31/12/25. We returned to the store on the 01/01/26 for another purchase and again, the staff were extremely helpful in assisting us with our purchase. We will certainly return to that store.

Visited Bedford Go Outdoors to purchase a Rabb jacket yesterday and was assisted by Brittney in the store who was very helpful & knowledgeable about the product . Very pleased with the purchase & quality of the Axion Pro jacket and would definitely recommend it .

Really helpful staff. Tyrell on shoes was really attentive and helpful. The cashier whose name I didn’t catch was also really great at sorting an issue with our GoOutdoors card.

As ever staff very friendly and helpful - particularly Tyrell who sold me a pair of trail running shoes. Great product and exactly what I was after.

Katie was ace, informative and helpful . She said she got the job without a love of the outdoors as a young person prepared to graft and since then has loved walking, paddling and the great outdoors . What a result for team outdoors ;) thanks
