Putter fitting at Golftown…
Went for a putter fitting at Golftown on the Queensway in Toronto. Excellent experience! The fitting professional, Sofie, took the time to bring several different putter options for me to try. Bought a new putter and traded in my old one.
My wife went in looking for a new set…
My wife went in looking for a new set of clubs her first someone looking after her by setting her up with something she wanted to try she hit them in the sim after that it was like we where not there we looked at some other clubs no attention so we just left my wife was not impressed
Golf Town Empress and Ellice location
Golf Town Empress and Ellice location, Winnipeg. Terrible customer service. This morning I went to the golf town site online and typed in 'grips'. Wow, they were marked 40% off. So I fetched my clubs and took the bus there. The employee tells me the sale doesn't start until tomorrow. I didn't see that at all on the app I was on. And if it starts tomorrow then why would prices be already showing the discount? Who does that? And zero empathy offered.
And I typed in golf town Ellice and empress. Disappointed but I asked if I could at least leave my clubs there? I'm in no hurry but he just said 'no'. And I'm a senior that just took a long bus ride there. Very poor customer service, it was like he could care less about this. So I will take all my golf business elsewhere and a good on course story for my many golf friends.
Thank you Elvis
Today I went into golf town to purchase a new 3 wood. Not know what I was looking for, I was approached by Sales professional Elvis. His knowledge, patience and technique was truly outstanding. He looked like he really loved what he was doing, and I felt it… I wish everyone had this type of work ethic….. Thanks Elvis i took mental notes, but may not improve my game… it was so much fun.
Exchange went so well I bought some shoes as well
Went in to exchange a dozen golf balls I was given for Christmas for similar bats but different colour...no problem. Spoke with Alan while I was there about golf in general and ended up purchasing a new set of Sketcher golf shoes as well.
Don’t try to return anything
Don’t try to return anything. You will be treated like dirt. I bought stuff there for years. Returned one golf bag and was treated like the scum off the bottom of the garbage can. Never went back.
I ordered several items on line
I ordered several items on line. There website indicated that within 3-4 business days I would received a confirmation of my shipment. I ordered over 14 days ago and yet to receive any confirmation. I sent an email inquiring about my order on day 9 and still have yet to have any response from golf town.
A company that I expect will not be around not much longer.
I spent over $1000 on new irons (demo)…
I spent over $1000 on new irons (demo) form their demo event. I called and asked if I could get a fitting for free because I need many adjustments which I'm willing to pay for. The person on the phone in Ottawa was very rude and simply told me they can't help. Then beraded me for having got a good deal on demo clubs. Seriously, he was awful when it comes to client experience UPDATE - The store manager called and apologized. Offered a free fitting because of the $ I spent and a deal on adjustments. Thanks!!
Golftown in lachenaie
Golftown in lachenaie, great service and great expérience. Every body was awesome! Special thanks to Mike Galietta
Felt ripped off trying to buy a Cleveland wedge
Tried to buy a Cleveland wedge at the Laird Dr, Toronto store. Sign said $179, sticker on club said $179. At the checkout they want $271!! I say, pointing at the price sticker on the club, should only be $179..... "oh, that's in American dollars! Same with our Calloway bags." She said that the sign was for a different club, even though the sticker was the same. I felt, and still do, ripped off. Guess I buy it on-line. So much for trying to support local business.
Terrible customer service and unreasonable repair wait times
What went wrong this time?
I went to Golf Town Kanata on Monday, Sept 8th at 11am for a simple club repair. There was no one at the repair counter. Another gentleman and I waited 5 minutes, then I had to find an employee, who brushed me off and said “someone will be back soon.” A third customer also joined the wait. After another 5 minutes, I went back again, visibly frustrated, and only then did he reluctantly get someone to help us.
When staff finally arrived, I was told the repair (a club head separating from the hosel due to epoxy failure) would take 10 days and cost over $22. This is a repair that, hands-on, can often be completed in 10–15 minutes.
How can this company improve?
Keep the repair counter properly staffed during open hours. Customers should not have to chase down employees.
Improve communication — acknowledge customers who are waiting instead of brushing them off.
Review repair timelines. A 10-day wait for a quick epoxy job is unreasonable.
If the repair shop truly has that much backlog, management should know better and hire additional repair staff to serve customers properly.
Final thoughts:
The poor service, lack of accountability, and excessive delay make it hard to recommend this store. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Extremely Disappointed
Extremely Disappointed – Treated Unfairly at Golf Town Coquitlam
On June 27, my son and I were treated with clear disrespect at this location—by both a staff member named Johnny and the store manager. While testing a driver in the simulator (with the manager’s permission), my son kindly stepped aside to let another customer “try once.” But then Johnny told my son to step aside again—for the same man—without even asking if we were done. It felt like my son didn’t matter.
I raised this with Johnny, who looked at me like I was the problem. When I explained the situation to the manager, he dismissed it by saying, “That customer is on a golf team,” as if that justified monopolizing the simulator. I told him clearly: We are paying customers too. Age or status shouldn’t determine who gets respect.
My son came in excited to buy his first driver. He left embarrassed and unseen. We still made the purchase—but we shouldn’t have had to.
Golf Town Coquitlam needs serious training in fairness and professionalism. No customer—especially a young one—should be made to feel less important.
Tried to sell a golf set missing clubs as complete
Saw some xxio clubs on line available in store, checked against other online retailers they were 200 more at golftown. Went to the golftown north store, the set was missing the 5 wood the manager insisted the set did not come with one even though their online picture clearly showed with 5 wood, and and all other online retailers stated 5 wood included (including xxio canada). Ended up ordering from riverside golf $200 less with the 5 wood included.
I went to golf town to buy a new full set of clubs
I went to golf town to buy some new clubs and the service was absolutely horrible once i told them what my budget was. They said they would let me browse and never came back. To top it off their prices are pretty much highway robbery. $600 for a driver, $400-500 each for woods, $250 each for wedges, $1000 for iron sets, and $250 for a putter. Once to add in the prices of their bag, shoes and the little stuff its nearly $4000 not including tax. I bought my last set just a couples of years ago another store and paid approx $1800 including tax. I will never shop there or support in any way.
I’ve been a loyal Golf Town customer…
I’ve been a loyal Golf Town customer for decades, but no longer. I purchased a golf cart bag as a gift, but the recipient didn’t want it. I returned the unused bag to Golf Town, and they accepted it, promising a refund within a week. However, no refund or confirmation email arrived. When I followed up, Golf Town cited a "system glitch" and offered only store credit. Why not issue a proper refund?
I’ve also received Golf Town gift cards in the past, and at least one was inexplicably empty. I didn’t pursue it further, as the effort seemed futile for an uncertain outcome. Golf Town’s policies feel designed to trap customers—when you try to cut ties, they push gift cards to keep you tethered. I’ll likely sell mine.
Forewarned is forearmed: Golf Town’s refund process is unreliable, and they seem indifferent to the inconvenience it causes.
Don’t go if you’re expecting customer service
It’s pretty sad when the only person to acknowledge you 45/60 minutes in the store was the security guard when walking in. Went in to purchase new golf shoes, pulled all my own sizes from an incredibly disarrayed, poor & messy selection of inventory, tripped over multiple cartons of stocks filled with shoes someone abandoned while putting out. Women’s shoe selection and sizes are poor and pretty much non existent in the store. Attempted to look for new women’s golf clothing; pretty much gave up after searching thru the poor selection and scattered department. The only time I spoke with an employee was when I needed access to the change room.
When leaving the store huddled around the front desk were 2 employees having a fantastic conversation.

Money taken and yet still nothing sent
Money taken and yet still nothing sent. Been over a week still says not sent and nowhere to find an email to contact them. I personally think this is a major scam myself and possibly out 60$ but it is what it is. Enjoy the couple bucks scammers won't fool me twice. Cheers
No Customer Service for online purchases
No Customer service for online purchases. Purchased set of irons online, They delivered the wrong set of cheaper irons. No one to talk to. Many exchanges of emails, very fustrating to deal with. They took my payment and offered me 15% off the cheap set to keep it. That is a ripoff. They refuse to correct their mistake. An unsatisfied customer.
Pro shop extraordinaire the guy who knows stuff
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to the golftown staff wpg location Keniston. I recently had work done on a set of irons at a different shop not the best work. Talked to the manager at golftown Gerard and pro shop Extraordinaire Greg who explained what needed to be done very knowledgable. The work was completed on a timely manner. Very happy with the work. Highly recommended.!!
Great Customer Service!!
I've always had a great experience with Golf Town Canada and Customer service.
Recently purchased a 4-hybrid but it came with a head cover for a 3-hybrid.
Grant in Customer Service was so helpful, and I received the correct head cover in a few days. Awesome!!!
