AVOID THIS GYM!!! I am extremely skeptical about how they handle their customers personal data. They ask for proof of address which has to be a letter from HMRC as they don't accept bank statements, they require your National insurance number - both of which I have never had to provide for any other gym. If you can't provide evidence of address soon enough they will cancel your membership but you will still NEED TO PAY the full monthly amount for up to 6 months. Even if you cancel your membership yourself you still need to pay for 6-12 months after. Additionally the equipment is not good quality for powerlifting, and generally is rusty and worn out. The space is small and crowded. One of the main reasons I joined this gym was to avoid the crowds at puregym, but it is no different here and actually a lot better for space and equipment availability at puregym. Staff members have a bad attitude and are not interested in the customer, but rather, the customers money. Contract rights created to protect customers under the law have been brushed under the rug in my opinion, so protect your money and your sanity and go to puregym or literally any other gym in the area. AVOID!!

Mein Sohn ist Mitglied seit 2 Jahren.Er zahlt in gewissen Abständen viertel oder halbjährlich eine Extra Gebühr wofür ist mir ein Rätsel.
Die Dusche wurde vor ca ein Dreiviertel Jahr gemeldet das sie nicht abläuft und 1 ist direkt defekt.
Es ist dreckig ,kaputte Teile liegen rum .WC dreckig (eine Stehtoilette kaputt)nur noch eine die zur Benutzung ist für so viele Leute .
Geräte sind teilweise kaputt .
Ich find es beschämend für so ein Studio…und ist ja mit dieser extra Gebühr kein Schnäppchen.

I’ve been a member here for a while, and I’m really disappointed that the gym still doesn’t have two essential leg machines:
• Hip Abductor Machine (outer thighs & glutes – legs push out)
• Hip Adductor Machine (inner thighs – legs push in)
These machines are standard in almost every gym, and they are extremely important for building balanced leg and glute strength, improving stability, and preventing injuries. I have asked the staff several times about adding them, but unfortunately, it feels like my requests are being ignored. Before new members sign up, they should be aware that these basic machines are missing, which is surprising for a gym of this size.
Another issue is the cleaning practices. Cleaning is often done during peak exercise times, and the cleaners use strong, perfume-heavy products. Many people, including myself, are sensitive or allergic to these fragrances, and it makes working out uncomfortable.
I hope management takes these concerns seriously — adding the missing machines and adjusting the cleaning products/timing would make a huge difference. This gym has potential, but these issues need to be addressed for a better member experience.

Gold gym is no longer a true gym. They have lost touch with their customer. They are more focused on politics than how to keep their customers safe and happy. They have no issue with kicking a woman out of their gym for filling uncomfortable with a man naked in the women’s locker room screaming, hateful, and perverted comments at her. Everyone was scared to speak out because they were worried about the man retaliating and hurting themso she did and she faced consequences for doing so. SHE was kicked out!!! I will never ever step foot in this gym and neither will anyone in my family and my friends feel the same way. I had one friend that was a member because she lived so close and she immediately canceled her membership after this incident. I can’t wait to watch this woke company go broke and the taxpayers won’t be helping you out.

Shame on you for throwing women under the bus. Any business that supports male violence and sexual harassment should be closed immediately!

I sincerely hope this gym is sued for allowing a male into the female changing room. Females have rights. This gym appears to be misogynistic. All females should avoid for their own privacy and safety.

Men being allowed to sexually intimidate women in the women’s locker rooms, you would think this is attire but no this is actually real. They do not care whatsoever about the rights of women

Gym thinks "women like to see nude men in the women's changing room" this is a direct quote btw. So, they allow men in to the women's changing room to perv out.

Schrecklich, ich bin seit mehr als einem Jahr dort angemeldet und ich heul all dem Geld nach das ich durch meine Mitgliedschaft dort verloren habe.
8€ für Rücklastgebühren und ich habe im Fitnessstudio noch gesagt die sollen garnicht erst versuchen den Monat noch was von mir abzuheben gleich ne Woche drauf weiter 8€ dazu weil sies trotzdem versucht haben zu dem konnte ich an den Monat nichtmal dort trainieren gehen UND ich musste trotzdem 56€ zahlen. Den nächsten Monat konnte ich dann natürlich ( weil ich mich kündigen wollte endgültig) nur den halben Monat trainieren und weil die mir die halbmonatliche Mitgliedschaftsgebühr nicht gönnen wollten mussten sie natürlich die Service und Pauschalgebühr darauflegen.
Ich habe noch nie erlebt das in diesem Gym auch nur ansatzweise etwas an Service existiert.
Abgesehen davon das die Getränkeautomaten, die duschen und hin und wieder mal die Sauna(die das beste am gym war) kaputt ist. Das ganze beschissene Fitnessstudio stinkt als hätte der Inhaber selbst auf den Grund in die Mitte geschissen und was von Klimaanlagen oder Lüftungen konnten sie bei all dem Geld das sie einkassieren auch nicht einbauen dafür kann man oben vlt mal paar Fenster aufmachen.
TOLLE ARBEIT wirklich aber mehr muss ich auch nicht sagen die restliche Rezension beschreibt das Studio schon von sich
Kurz und knapp die wollen einen abziehen wirklich wer dort selbst als reicher trainieren geht muss sich echt blöd Vorkommen den ich fühl mich ziemlich dumm und ausgenutzt
(Plus Einige Mitarbeiter sehen so aus als hätten sie sich nur beworben damit sie beim ,,du hast ein Fitnessstudio noch nie von innen gesehen“ kontern können)

My wife and I joined Golds Gym many years ago and have always enjoyed the facilities that are available such as the sauna the swimming pool and the gym
There are also some great classes such as pilates and yoga which are taught by excellent teachers.
The staff at the gym are very attentive especially those at reception and in particular Tina who we have known for many years.
This is a great gym and we highly recommend it .

I am in gold gym harrow the swimming pool is closed from 20-to 28 September today the showers are closed they didn't text the members always something is breaking and not working every day is different reason : low level of water in swimming pool, jacussy is not working properly just ht water not power the swimming pool always cold

Scammy - they just get your credit card and make unauthorized charged and then make you pay them to cancel. Someone needs to shut them down.

I joined Gold Gym in Hounslow in August 2024 along with two others. We were offered a promotion of 2 free months, which I never asked for — it was something they voluntarily added. At the time of joining, I was told very clearly that it was a 12-month contract, which I accepted.

Now, after completing 12 months, I went in on 7th August 2025 to cancel my membership, only to be told that I still have to make 2 more payments — because apparently, the 2 free months don’t count as part of the contract. This was never communicated upfront. If their so-called “12-month contract” actually means 14 months due to the promotion, that should have been clearly stated at the time of sign-up.

When I questioned this, the receptionist was incredibly rude and dismissive, even asking why I referred my friends — when it was actually their colleague who offered a referral bonus during our registration. On top of that, she asked why I didn’t cancel my membership back in April — which makes absolutely no sense, since I was still within the 12-month period.

This is completely misleading and feels like false advertising. Instead of a promotion, it's just a trap to tie customers in for longer. If a promotion comes with extra months of commitment, then just be honest and mention it upfront.

As for the gym itself — it’s small and overcrowded, and the pool smells heavily of chlorine. I only stayed because I was locked into the contract, and now I’ve been forced to stay even longer due to a clause that was never explained.

Would I recommend this place? Absolutely not. Avoid Gold Gym Hounslow at all costs — terrible customer service, rude staff, and shady contract practices.
