It has been an absolute pleasure doing business with NZ Gold Merchants. Both John and Tony provide outstanding service, straight valid answers to all questions and patience. Price wise you know exactly where you stand and there are no hidden charges or surprises. Whether you are new to or already an experienced gold trader I have zero hesitation endorsing NZ Gold Merchants.

The order takes 2 months to process and when gold price hike they are doing paper trading.Poor Experience

Tony told me prior to organising a security courier from Taranaki, that he could not lock in a price per oz until he had the gold in his possession.
When the gold eventually arrived we talked and he told me the price we had locked in was $xxxxx.oo.
I reacted immediately and wondered how often this approach would occur. If the price went up, the price was apparently locked in, if the market moved down, the price was apparently not locked in.
He got very upset and reassured me he had just made a mistake.
This experience was enough for me to decide to look elsewhere with my business.

2nd time I have used this company to sell unwanted jewellery. I was quoted $1000 LESS by a company in Auckland Central. The process here was fast, professional, the staff were excellent and I was delighted. Worth the drive out there, parking was easy with no stress at all.

Occasionally I have gold and silver to sell which are leftovers from jewellery making. I have posted several lots to NZ gold merchants over the years. Their payout rates are excellent. And if you email them they will tell you what their payout rates are. Because they process scrap gold silver into bars for retail selling they may melt it and assay it first. There is a saying that a "fool and his money is soon parted..." If you sell scrap gold to jewelers or pawn brokers you are selling to middle men. Why do that? Cut out the middle men and sell direct to a foundry like NZ Gold merchants. There is saying also that "all that glitters is not gold" NZ Gold merchants have to be careful too not to burnt with fake precious metals which is why their need to assay it first. I find them to be people of great integrity and trust them without question.
