I participated in the 3 week programme in Hunan, China and I had the best time! The programme was challenging but in a positive way that made my teaching skills improve, helped me gain lots of knowledge of life in China and grow my overall confidence. I met amazing people, ate great food and visited some beautiful places in China. The only improvement I would like to see is the pre-departure process being a little more organised, other than that I would recommend Gotoco to anyone!

This was an amazing experience, I felt like it was a great opportunity to explore a country. Throughout the program, I felt like we were well looked after in terms of accommodation, food, and other trips and activities - most of which was paid for by the schools. I found it was a really nice way to learn and explore China, with support so that the cultural differences didn't feel overwhelming. At the end, we had a trip to Zhangjiajie which was also incredible to see.

Throughout the program, I made some great friends and I'm so glad I've had this experience. I signed up quite last minuet, and felt the communication was good and any questions were answered quickly pre-travel. The course was a lot of work and I wish I understood more before the program began in terms of what I needed to prepare and that I had access to the information we were taught during the introduction once we arrived.

After the program began, it sometimes it felt like information was not always passed along, or communication was a bit slow. But then I understand the schools can change their plans/ minds right up to the last minuet, so definitely need to be okay with just going with the flow and last minuet changes.

However, I am so glad that I did this program It was very tiring but really rewarding. A lot is packed into the program, especially given its short duration and t doesn't feel like there's a lot of preparation before you start teaching but honestly it is okay. Need to go in with an open mind and be okay with taking things as they come, but I was an amazing way to explore the culture and to try something new!

I spent six amazing weeks in Kamphaeng Phet, Thailand, where I created incredible memories and friendships! The support from the Gotoco team was exceptional throughout the entire experience. So, if you're considering signing up, I encourage you to do it! You won’t regret it! I am now living and working in Thailand thanks to the opportunities Gotoco have given me! Gotoco is a great way to gain some insight into if you want to go into teaching, or (in my case) gain some volunteering experience, a free TEFL qualification and opportunity to travel abroad and meet new people. I met some great friends, everyone at my school was so lovely and welcoming, and I got the chance to see and learn so much about Chinese culture, and see so many stunning places I never would have got the chance to go to, and I lived in Changde which was a small but great city with still enough to explore. Everyone at my school as well as the local co-ordinators were really great and helped resolve any issues I had while I was there, and also organised funded trips for us on weekends. I unfortunately got food poisoning on my third day in China and had to go to the hospital, but was supported throughout it all, and the local co-ordinators stayed with us at the hospital, helping us translate etc, which was amazing, and I could trust that in any emergency they would look after participants.

However, I think the main con for me was that the training I received when I arrived didn't feel that sufficient. I received only 2 days of training before I was expected to go to my school to teach, so if you have no experience teaching be prepared to be thrown in the deep end. I would also caution anyone thinking of taking part that your school will be your main support which I don't think is super clear on the website. In my case, that was fine as my school was great, but I've heard from others that their school was really unsupportive and they had to leave their program, so unfortunately I think your Gotoco experience relies on the specific program and school you are at. Also if you take part I would say be prepared to be super flexible, as other people have said in their reviews Gotoco tend to give information quite last minute and their communication is not always great, which was quite frustrating at times. Despite this, I had a great time and these are just a few things I wish I knew before I took part/ would make my experience better.

I had an amazing time teaching in Bali, I got to travel around Bali a lot and learned so much about the culture and language. I made lifelong friends which I am so grateful for and loved the school I taught English at. This was a unforgettable experience that I will forever cherish.

I did the Romania camp, the experience was amazing! However, some of the admin and communication between parties was often poor.

I got to experience life as a local which is very different to the experiences you get when travelling. I loved learning how to communicate with the children and teachers in ways other than language! The coordinators were all incredibly friendly and I had the best time.

The hosts and school were amazing, we felt very at home and supported throughout our time. We had the freedom to teach what we wanted and have fun with the teaching. I would 100% recommend gotoco to anyone wanting to learn experience a new country!

My time in Thailand with Gotoco was truly unforgettable. Teaching English to such warm and enthusiastic kids was the heart of my journey, bringing daily joy and a sense of purpose. Connecting with the local culture, exploring Thailand's beauty, and seeing the kids' progress and happiness were deeply fulfilling. I initially planned to stay in Thailand for just six months, but because I'm so happy here, I've decided to extend my experience for another six months. When I'll leave in April I'll have many new friendships but also unforgettable memories that have enriched my life.

Working as an English teacher in Thailand with Gotoco greatly enhanced my professional skills. The best moments were the ones I shared with my wonderful students in Chachoengsao. For example, Halloween was incredible. All the kids were dressed up, and the entire school was full of decorations. It was such an amazing experience, and I felt like a child again.
I also loved the cultural experiences organized by Gotoco. Visiting the Emerald Waterfall in Kanchanaburi, attending a Muay Thai match in Bangkok, and enjoying a lovely dinner along the canal in Bangkok, followed by an unforgettable boat tour, were all highlights of my time.

I had a really good time in Poland through Gotoco. I really enjoyed the cultural tour and having the freedom to explore the cities by ourselves and also having planned outings with everyone where we could meet and talk to everyone. There are loads of benefits to it and you get to try lots of new things.

I had an amazing time and met some incredible people who made the experience even better. It was a great opportunity to gain experience teaching abroad and I learned a lot. The cultural tour at the end was also a really fun way to explore both Warsaw and Krakow.

I recently took part in the Vietnam Summer Program and can only recommend! The planning and communication from the GoToCo team was brilliant and the experience itself was such a fulfilling and amazing opportunity. I will forever be grateful to have experienced this program!

I really enjoyed the overall experience of teaching abroad in Thailand. It was a very different environment but I personally feel as if I gained a lot.

Life changing, innovating and a growth experience. Going to Thailand opened my eyes massively, it helped me immerse in a culture that was rich and meet great people.

This programme is a great opportunity to explore another country and work hard. It is greatly fulfilling and improves a wide range of skills. It also opens opportunities and options unconsidered, for example prior to this teaching was only a minor possibility for me, however after it is something I am really considering.

This summer, I participated in the Munich programme for 7 weeks. It was such an amazing experience- I met the best people, had the chance to teach English to so many kids, and the opportunity to travel around a beautiful city. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone considering teaching and also wanting to travel abroad at the same time!

I had the most amazing experience in my 10 week Vietnam programme. I had a real insight into local life within my placement and really integrated into the community. I met some incredible people both through Gotoco and in my placement. It is the most beautiful country, and teaching for the majority of my placement is so rewarding.

This summer I took part in the Vietnam Catalyst for change programme. I got to teach in a language center in a small town for 6 weeks and it was a great experience. I stayed with the owner of the school and got weekends off or sometimes longer to explore other parts of Vietnam. Gotoco were very helpful with giving guidance and help with completing the TEFL. Gotoco also provided us with cultural activities towards the end of the trip and we got to do things such as Snorkelling and riding boats, free of charge. Gotoco helps with the whole process, e.g. making sure we had transport from the airport. Great cultural and confidence building experience!

Gotoco enabled me to undertake a teaching placement in Hong Kong for 6 weeks, in which I participated in two Oxbridge summer camps, with a mid-camp trip to Shenzhen. Overall the experience was super fulfilling and enriching, I would like to also say the layout of the camps and the one-to-one tutorials with the kids in the camps was a highlight of the teaching aspect, both rewarding to me and the children whom I was teaching. Furthermore, Gotoco kindly organised numerous activities for us to undertake in Shenzhen, exploring a different side to China through the eyes of local culture was super memorable. I met a lot of wonderful people, including Danny - Gotoco's director which was a fabulous and so I would like to thank Gotoco and all the people involved for making my experience worthwile and memorable!
