I would like to personally apologize for your negative experience at the Naperville office. I pride myself on making sure all of my patients feel cared for and that did not happen.
The cancellation was due to my surgical tech being involved in a serious car accident on the way to the clinic and thus unable to assist in your procedure. We were made aware of the accident just prior to your arrival. The staff was frazzled by the news and her well being. This unfortunately led to the staff appearing distracted and uncaring.
The issue regarding your refund should not have occurred. The staff attempted to refund your credit card, but there was an error in processing it through our new Athenahealth electronic health records system. Once we realized that we could not issue a refund directly to your credit card, because of this error, an electronic check was issued. I understand your frustration in trying to get your money back. You should not have had to call the office multiple times.
As a solo private practice physician, my patients’ satisfaction is my upmost priority. I am very disappointed that we did not solve this issue right away and that we let you down.
