Funky soap should not be allowed to trade and will be reported to trading standards.
Delivery times to UK advertised as 2-5 working days.
I specifically placed an order for a birthday present. After making enquiries about the whereabouts of my order, I was met with nothing short of an unhelpful, standoffish attitude. As if she was doing ME a favour?
So I filed a claim with PayPal.
3 weeks later, the birthday has been and gone with no delivery.
But surprise, surprise, she decides to send it (as I've now received tracking) a few days before I would be rewarded a refund from PayPal when I had explicity said the order was no good to me and I wanted a refund. It will be 4 weeks since I ordered in a few days.
What a vile, vile woman. Please don't waste your time and money ordering from this woman. You will only be disappointed, and so will other people if purchased for presents.
I certainly will never be ordering again. Plenty of other more reliable companies out there doing the same thing... AND CHEAPER.
Wish I would've read the reviews before ordering.. Lesson learned. They're even more awful on ebay!
No sign of my parcel, Customer Service Non-existent
No sign of my parcel, a fortnight after being dispatched and the "tracking number" doesn't work. I contacted the seller several times and just keep being told, "the order's in transit with Royal Mail". Now they have stopped replying to my emails. I've asked for a refund but got no response.
From reading other reviews, this is obviously not an isolated incident and I wish that I had checked here before ordering. I'll be taking the problem to my credit card company and also going to contact Citizen's Advice to see if the police need to be involved.
Very sad, all they need to do is refund my money but the whole experience leaves me feeling like I've been scammed.

Appalling company - always slow to dispatch, this time failed to dispatch my order at all, therefore missing the date by which I needed the gift I'd ordered. Then sent out a replacement after I'd requested a refund without asking if I still required the order.
Still waiting for an email response as I've
requested a return and been ignored. Surly and unhelpful company with a tracking service that does not function. Steer well clear.

Dealing with this company has ensured that I will always check the reviews before buying anything from a new company again.
I spent £82 on an order on the 16/12/23 plenty of time before Christmas, which qualified for 48hr delivery. The order was all Christmas presents. I even got an email saying it had been dispatched on Monday 18/12/23. When it didn't arrive by the Wednesday 20/12/23, I tried to make contact by phone and left voicemails. No one returned my call and I finally received the order on the 28/12/23.
I posted this back special delivery on the 28/12/23. Royal Mail tried to deliver to them on the 29/12/23 but were unable to, I saw from tracking the parcel that it was delivered on the 2/1/24.
Throughout this ordeal I kept them updated saying that I had posted it back special delivery, and as the parcel weighed over 2kg (2.4kg) this cost me £16.45
When I informed Anni that i had returned it and wanted to be reimbursed for the postage cost, she stated she would not refund this amount. Although she posted it out as a 2kg parcel it was heavier than that, so went into the next category.
I emailed on the 2/1/24, and the 3/1/24 asking when I would be refunded and was advised 5 working days, but they did not confirm if this was 5 working days from the date of the email or from when they received the parcel back.
I emailed again on the 4/1/24 and the 9/1/24 asking them to confirm when they would process the refund and have had no response.
The company doesn't care about communication or customer service, or their reputation. Otherwise they would have been an improvement on these ongoing issues they seem to be having with postage.
Funky Soap Shop didn't refund me with in the 5 days, I had to raise a dispute with Paypal. I've still not received my refund although Paypal have stated this will be 5 days.
This company should be shut down.
Double payment or no delivery
If you live in an EU country, don't buy from here.
They kept telling me my order was on the way and to be patient.
Later I found a letter from costoms saying I needed to pay a large fee and taxes amounting to the same as the ordered soap, delivery and taxes paid to Funky Soap all together. So suddenly, I had to pay double to get the soap.
All because they filled out the export/import form incorrectly. Even if I could document paying the taxes, it could not be changed.
Amateur company not understanding the basics of business and failing all customers because of it.
Do not shop here. You will waste your money and have nothing.

J'ai donc contacté le site, et Mme Anni m'a expliqué qu'elle a renvoyée un deuxième colis,suite à mes nombreuses réclamations !
Le premier envoi du 26 novembre ( commande du 24 ) s'est perdu ou a était volé (?)...
Bon tout est rentré dans l'ordre.
La persévérance porte des fruits.

I've been waiting for two weeks for an order to arrive and after an initial response to this from Funky Soap saying the order was in transit they are no longer responding.
They were unable to provide details of who the courier was, or any tracking details.
I've now applied for a refund from Paypal and will never order from them again, as they are completely unreliable. There are plenty of other small businesses providing similar products that are more credible.
Unrivalled quality if you're prepared to wait
I felt compelled to review because Funky Soap Shop's products are what the cosmetic industry should hold as a paragon. Natural ingredients are damn expensive and whilst there are obvious delivery issues from the demand of regular and returning customers, (my last order took a week or so to arrive but after a follow up it was dispatched the same day because of medical need), my feelings are that you can't expect the world logistically when the products are this good. The online giants will over deliver on speed but under deliver on quality and nasties contained. I also believe that if demand for this quality of product was what it should be (perfect market knowledge etc. - that there wouldn't be enough of this stuff to go around and prices would surge). In short the quality is so much higher than their rivals that they don't have to rush the deliveries out.
Anni's homemade products are best in class in terms of quality and ingredients. You'll be blown away by the smell and purity compared with any other business. The potency, efficacy, and quality is several levels up from say The Body Shop who have considerable overheads. If you smell a Funky Soap Shop product before said rival's, the contrast is stark.
Daily application of tea tree / neem / moringa has seen off viruses that caused major issues in family members who didn't. Be prepared to wait a fortnight for shipping at peak times. Whilst other companies have taken shortcuts and diluted products, they've stayed true to their principles and small batch production using teas, herbs, and tonics over sulphates.

Ordered on 14th sep, no order three weeks later so enquired and got told it was in transit with Royal Mail, got the same again another two weeks later, same boring excuse. Asked for a refund and suddenly got ignored. Wrote a negative review on their Facebook and commented on their posts asking them to respond, still nothing. I ended up going through PayPal, thankgod I payed through them, and they responded with ‘we are an honest company and no need for the accusations’ and seemingly issued me a full refund. After 5 days no refund, it had suddenly been cancelled, suprise suprise and I found out they had blocked me on Facebook! So I rang PayPal and they did a forced refund for me thankfully. Don’t bother with this awful company.
chronic delivery delays
The products are nice but the delivery is SO bad it takes away any of the good of the product. Order took 4 weeks to arrive. I had to chase repeatedly and despite being told I would be contacted within 24 hours, this did not happen. This is the worst experience with this firm but I have never know an order take less than 2 weeks which seems excessive for SOAP! This is me done with them I am afraid until I see this approval rating rising.

i'm a new customer, contacted them 2 days ago on their chat box on the home page of the website to ask which delivery service they use and have had no response.safe to say i wont be bothering with this company and have went elsewhere.
Painfully slow delivery and poor customer service
Placed an order 10 days ago and still nothing, should have arrived by the 27th at the latest but the courier tracking keeps changing the estimated delivery date so I contacted Funky Soap's customer services and all I got was 'sorry. Some couriers experiencing delays at the moment. Your order will be with you shortly.' Not what I would call helpful at all. I am in the same city as them, I could have walked there to collect it faster than the courier is moving!
Order didn't arrive and kept my money
Made an order which didn't arrive. Emailed after 2 weeks to be told they have no tracking details for the parcel. Emailed again a few times after for updates and was completely ignored. They've taken my money and now I'm left with no product. Don't waste your time or money.

When it arrived, the eco packaging was disappointing. It took a long time to remove the excessive, unrecyclable tape from the box.
Despite all the frustrations, their products are good, so I'll probably use them again.
appalling customer sevice undelivered order
Despite several communications with this company, I still have not recived items ordered as christmas presents on 08 December 2022. Despite being a previous customer and placing an order of around £90 which should have given me a five day tracked delivery service. I have now on 02 January finally been given a tracking number, despite chasing the company since 20 December and telling the company since 27 December that I would like a full refund as the items as Christmas presents are now nearly a month late and my visitors have long since departed. I have never before given a company a bad review on social media and am very disappointed that my customer rights are being ignored.

Not impressed. Ordered 2 different bath bombs & the scent just wasn't there. I'd bought wax melts st one of their pop up stalls before & they were lovely this time 2 of the scents "green orchard" & "rain drops" were awful, leaving a taste of soap in your mouth, I've never had wax melts produce that much smoke. The "candied fruits" was the only one that was bearable. Customer service was also awful. They forgot to ship one of my items & although I had paid extra for fast shipping on the original order they sent out the missing item by 2nd class post..very cheeky as I'd paid for express for a reason...I needed them by a certain date. I emailed asking for a refund on my postage & packaging costs & they didn't even bother to respond. I really can't reccomend anything about this brand. Also irritating as I had to pay a premium to select the eco friendly p&p option.
