Brilliant from start to finish! Always excellent communication, and we felt they were representing us as the sellers. All staff were helpful , but Fiona, Hector and Rosie deserve a special mention.

Condescending, when viewing a property the viewing starts with "the slots are 15 minutes" felt like we were looked upon like we were wasting their time

Where do I start. This well established estate agent. Have gone above and beyond.
I'm not one to write a review. But if it wasn't for all the hard work. Dedication from the unbelievable staff at freemanforman then we wouldn't had the chance to move into our new house. All the staff are lovely. Rellay polite. Most importantly they work constantly hard to get things moving and done.

The most awful experience with Freeman Foreman. I had to spend thousands of pounds to renovate my property because of bad tenants and very poor management! I went through the courts to evict the tenants and ended with thousands of arrears that were not managed since 2020.

From the very start, this estate agent overpromised and underdelivered.
In 9 weeks, we have had just one viewing — and even that seemed questionable.
It only happened after we expressed how unhappy we were with the lack of progress, and the conversation ended with: “Give us the share as we have so much interest.” We agreed — yet no interest at all followed.

The manager, Charlie, made numerous promises of contacts with “potential interest” and used misleading sales tactics to get us on their books.
We were persuaded to give them sole selling rights and even to hand over the shared ownership element of our home, supposedly because they already had buyers lined up — which, in reality, they did not.

They pressured us into signing manipulative 16-week sole agency contracts, knowing they had no genuine options to sell. If there had been any real intention to sell, such lengthy contracts would not be necessary.
This feels designed purely to advertise their company via our property and pad out their portfolio, rather than genuinely work to sell our home.

We do not believe the staff in the Hawkhurst branch have enough experience in the industry, and they appear poorly equipped to deliver a professional service. We explained to Charlie the importance of honesty and the urgency of our sale. More promises followed, but no action. In the first week, one representative even laughed about another property agent taking six weeks to get us a viewing, saying they would defiantly get us more than 1 viewing — and sadly, they did not .. with no viewings for much longer.

Overall, the experience with the Hawkhurst branch has been frustrating, misleading, and unprofessional. We feel our time has been wasted and our trust abused. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this agency.

Completely underwhelmed by the performance of Freeman Forman Tunbridge Wells in marketing our apartment for sale. In almost five months, they secured just three viewings. Very little in the way of feedback apart from urging us to drop the price (despite us having marketed at the price they suggested.)
Once we realised they were not engaged in finding a buyer for us, we asked them to release us from our contract so that we could find another agent - despite their lacklustre performance they insisted on adhering to the one month notice period (and secured zero viewings during this time).

What ever you do - do not got to Rebecca the mortgage advisor!! We went to her last year to renew our mortgage. She kept pushing for us to pay £600 for this scheme where we don’t pay any fees for future mortgages. We paid. A week later she’s telling us she can’t get us a mortgage! She would ignore all our calls and emails. So we decided to go independently and got our mortgage straight away! We continued to contact her for our £600 back as we received NO SERVICE from her to which she kept ignoring us! My partner has been going backwards and forwards with someone her office for around a year now ,who also agreed this was wrong, has now told us they’re not giving us our money back! Might I add we are two grieving parents that had not long lost our child at that time and she knew and met them the last time we’d met her. Praying on the vulnerable and conning them out of their hard earned money! Absolutely disgusting you should be ashamed!

I can’t speak to the Freeman Forman sales team but my experience with their lettings team in Heathfield was terrible. I hired them to manage a property several hours away while my late husband was ill and I couldn’t manage or visit the property myself. They charged me an exorbitant amount for this service each month and I have nothing to show for it but a trashed house in need of thousands of pounds of repairs. They let to terrible tenants who ruined the house and garden — but even worse, Freeman Forman neglected to do an end of tenancy inventory so I couldn’t keep the tenant deposit to offset the cost of repairs. One of their letting agents even admitted to me that they dropped the ball. But of course Freeman Forman did nothing to make things right for me or take any financial responsibility for their mistakes and poor service. They are either incompetent or sleazy or both. Avoid Freeman Forman lettings — it’s an expensive rip off!

Huge thank you to Hector and his team in Tunbridge Wells for helping us sell our property. Always available to help and answer questions and very professional. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again (although hoping not to move for a long time!!)

The team at the Freeman Forman office in Tonbridge, Kent sold my flat. A massive thank you in particular to Megan for being brilliant throughout this process. It was really tricky with the property management company AB Canham, but throughout all this Megan was unwaveringly professional, patient, positive and reassuring and she kept the buyer engaged and on-side, preventing the chain from collapsing. Thank you!

We were absolutely thrilled with the service that Freeman Forman provided. They were so helpful and they did everything they could to get our house sold as soon as possible!
We weren’t planning on moving but we accidentally stumbled across our dream home on RightMove. After viewing it we fell in love with it but thought we wouldn’t have a chance because there were already 3 offers on it and our house wasn’t even on the market.
The next day I called Freeman Forman, they came to our house within 24 hours and within the week our house was on the market. They suggested having an open house to maximise the chances of a quick sale and they managed to secure 9 viewings which led to an offer!
Not only did they sell our house really quickly but Fiona was amazing at pushing the sale through with chasing the (slightly slow!) solicitors. She was amazing… all the Tunbridge Wells team were! Everyone was so helpful and friendly and I would definitely recommend them. We wouldn’t be living in our dream home now if it weren’t for them, so thank you very much!

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Janine at UCKFIELD Freeman Foreman, who looks after our rental properties. Janine is simply outstanding – her organisation, professionalism, and genuine care for her clients are second to none. From start to finish I have been very impressed with Freeman Forman especially Lauren who was very supportive and responsive to any of my queries. It was a challenging chain of 7 !! Freeman Forman Lettings in Eastbourne were happy to take the 10% management fees for 20 years when we let our property out through them, but when our tenant decided not to pay the rent anymore they were suddenly very unhelpful, they knew this was crippling us as the interest on the mortgage had shot up and with no rent coming in we were struggling.

They did not answer emails we sent to them and rarely answer the phone choosing to decide whether to return calls based on the messages left. I had to talk Sam through the online form to get the Universal Credit paid direct, I can’t believe they didn’t know how to do that and then their account dept refused to pay the rent to us until their agent called the Universal Credit team each month to get a reference number to match to the payment, they didn’t want to do that because Universal Credit are difficult to get through to, it was when I took over that job that I realised the reference number was the same every month, but Freeman Forman staff hadn’t realised that.

When our tenant finally left we asked the agent how we went about getting the deposit, they charged us £180 to book a ‘walk through’ with an agent who told us on the day of the walk through that he only charges £50 so despite them knowing we were financially in difficulty they stiffed us for £130. We have 4 rentable properties and I will never use them again.

Basically the agent in the branch in Tonbridge just lies to us all the time. We bought a flat from them, agreed the price with the seller and started the buying process then all of a sudden another offer is made through another . Then we don't hear any more and for the last week they don't answer my messages or call back. We don't know if we have the flat or not, presumably not but they haven't told us anything. They are an awful company so beware. I am disgusted with their attitude.

Mis-Sold on the property. We were told the property was a freehold property however once our solicitors reviewed the contacts we found out the property didn’t come with title or deeds to the land. In other words we’d be buying some very expensive bricks with no way of reselling the property. We pulled the offer and logged a complaint only to be told it was not Freeman Foreman’s responsibility to know if the property came with title and deeds and that they were actually free to advertise the property as they wished.

I’d recommend anyone looking to buy a property through Freeman Foreman to proceed with extreme caution.

Lauren Bennison was absolutely fantastic, we was in the market for property in the Ringmer area, unfortunately we found a property with a different agent.
I felt strongly about ensuring that the hard work and high level of professionalism shown by Lauren was highlighted.
