Forgotten Tribes is such a great…

Forgotten Tribes is such a great company to deal with. Their clothes are lovely quality and their service is fast and efficient. I look forward to buying many more clothes from them in the future.

Poor quality stuff, abysmal “service”

I ordered two pairs of earrings for my mam’s birthday. The first time she wore one pair (2 days later), they broke after a couple of hours wearing them. I immediately contacted Forgotten Tribes, who ignored me entirely. I sent pictures showing the earrings hadn’t been properly soldered and had came apart at the joining point, but obviously that doesn’t matter to them. I commented on their Facebook a couple of days after asking if someone could reply to my email. Still ignored. I emailed again and, you guessed it, got ignored. I commented on another of their posts on facebook asking if someone could reply to my now two ignored emails and previously ignored comment. So they blocked me. I thankfully took screenshots of my comments because I had a feeling I was going to need to take it further when they didn’t reply to the first email like any legitimate, decent company would. It turns out if you have a faulty product, they don’t care and think they should keep your money regardless. I’d never use them again nor recommend them to my worst enemy because their products, though nicely photographed on their website, are incredibly poor quality and in no way remotely worth their price point. I’m going to go to trading standards because it’s clear they have no interest in doing the bare minimum and frankly I fail to see why I should be over £30 down on a pair of unusable earrings because they want to pull a fast one. I’ve already complained to Shopify too. Going to assume the barrage of positive, unverified reviews are bots as well to try and push the negative reviews down their profile because unsurprisingly, all the negative reviews say the same things: poor quality, they ignore all attempts at contacting them, and try to keep money for unusable items/ don’t issue refunds. Why fix the problem when they can ignore customers and expect everyone to be happy handing them money for literally nothing? It would track, given they have almost 180K followers on facebook yet barely get 3 likes per post and no comments, which anyone can agree is very suspicious, especially for a business bragging about having over 10000 positive reviews online. We’re meant to believe not one of those apparent happy customers would ever interact with one of the two public profiles of a company they supposedly positively recommended? Yeah, sure… Couldn’t be much worse at this point. Sad part is, I actually initially came to trustpilot to write a positive review because my mam was happy with the earrings, and took it down when they started ignoring me. Irony is, I’m filling this out now because they sent an email asking me to rate them on here! So they can email asking for reviews, which I can guarantee they won’t want unless it’s positive, but can’t do the bare minimum and help customers solve a very simple problem with their faulty product. Sad.

We did reply to your emails and offered either a refund or an exchange as soon as you contacted us, but we have recently discovered an issue with Hotmail blocking emails from our domain. Unfortunately, this meant some customers with Hotmail addresses were not receiving our replies, so I completely understand why it looked as though we were ignoring you.

I’m also sorry about the issue with the earrings. They clearly should not have broken after being worn, and we would never expect you to keep a faulty item. A full refund has now been issued.

Regarding Facebook, your comments appear to have triggered an automatic spam filter after several messages were posted in a short space of time. This was not because you raised an issue with your order.

We’d also like to reassure you that our reviews are from genuine customers, most of whom have placed verified orders with us.

Again, I’m very sorry for the confusion and frustration caused.

Overpriced, poor quality, horrendous customer service

Their products are very poor quality and will break on first use. Their FAQ lies and says they’ll welcome contact to fix any issues because they don’t. If you comment on their social media anything that isn’t adoration, and instead ask them to contact you because of their faulty products, they’ll block you. They don’t want to know. They are one of the worst companies I’ve ever had the displeasure and misfortune of dealing with. If you want cheap, mass produced crap at an enormous markup with no interest in fixing customer problems, order away. They don’t want to help their customers but we’ll see how trading standards feel about these scam artists. Assuming they must bribe people to leave positive comments or use bots given how they have sudden influxes of overly positive comments every day, despite their social media having barely any engagement. 178k followers yet most posts don’t even get a single like or comment. Assuming they’re paying for bots with the money they think they’re entitled to keep instead of providing customers with refunds for their crap faulty products.

SUPERIOR FABRICS

Full five stars, although not all the styles are my taste, the ones I did buy, were beautifully made, with great high quality fabrics. Pure cottons, Organic Cottons. Jewelry good quality also. The only thing I could recommend is to have more tweed aladdin trousers in various colours for winter. There's more wi ter tops than bottoms for slimmer ladies. Size 22-24 would be a great idea. I would purchase more items if they had larger sizes and more textured variety than just the usual flimsy, or woolly jumpers.

But the concept is super and fab! I bought the tweedy wool mix aladdin trousers 5 years ago, and they still are in good shape even now. They haven't bobbled up. The long length oversized jumpers and jumper dresses also bought 5 yrs ago, are going strong. So, although expensive at the time around £80 it has lasted and it was worth spending ding that amount to have continuous wear.

Lovely harem trousers

Lovely trousers. I got them in the sale for a good price. Fast shipping. 4 stars because the legs are a lot wider than they looked in the website pictures. But it's a small quibble. The fabric feels good quality.

Gorgeous tops

Gorgeous tops - originally ordered brown liked it so much came back for the pale green also. The knit is so soft cross between t-shirt and knitwear. Will keep an eye open for more of their separates in the future.

I love your clothes!

I love your clothes.

But I seem to be between sizes. I ordered a size 16/18 sweater and it was too small so I returned it to you.
No problem with quality, delivery or the item. You sent me a larger size last week, thank you . A size XL.
Unfortunately this is too short.
I need to return it and ask for a refund please. My size and the style of the jumper just don't go together.
