Customer service are zombies

Customer service was like dealing with zombies, lacking any initiative. No one actually listened or tried to solve the issue. They just recited scripted responses like a broken program.

Flybuys. A scam not worth your while !



My wife and I redeemed some flybuy points to get a Sunbeam air fryer. We organised food to cook the first night and unpacked the new appliance. To our dismay the keypad wouldn’t work and couldn’t program the menu. While unpacking the air fryer it appeared to be have been opened previously as the packaging wasn’t where it should have been.
Now that we have been trying to return the product, flybuys customer service were saying that our details were insufficient or incorrect yet they were good enough to send the product out originally. They requested a copy of my mine and my wife’s drivers license. Each time there’s a problem they require 5 working days to respond.
We are still in the process of resolution but
If you are thinking of using your points, just request the money. It seems like they can’t resolve a dispute when there’s a problem with the merchandise.
It’s really feeling like a scam. This appears to be a defective product from Harvey Norman Commercial.
The Flybuys customer service work on the theory that you’ll just give up. The customer service have been very unhelpful and my wife tells me bordering on rude.
Personally I would give the Customer Service at flybuys a lower score but this format doesn’t let me !

Ongoing Account Access Issues – No Resolution in Sight

I’ve been trying to resolve an issue accessing my Flybuys account since March, and despite repeated attempts, nothing has been fixed. I’ve gone around in circles with multiple customer service representatives over the last few weeks, repeating the same details over and over without any progress.

Each time, I’m met with scripted apologies like “super sorry,” which feels dismissive and insincere — especially when no one seems to actually take ownership of the issue. There’s a complete lack of continuity in support; no one seems to read the previous notes or understand what’s already been tried.

After weeks of back and forth, long wait times on both phone and chat, and absolutely no resolution, I’ve lost confidence in Flybuys’ ability to manage even basic account problems. For a program connected to major retailers, the standard of support is shockingly poor.

Cannot get through to customer services…

Cannot get through to customer services via phone and if you email you get a different person each time responding and they do not seem to be able to see what their colleagues have previously discussed with you. Have spent hours trying to get into my account and have now given up.

Pathetic overseas call center / Dishonese bonus points offer

Flybuys do the right thing and stop using offshore call center - had an error for your 10k points by spending $70 for 4 weeks offer due to the error from your end - expected already for bad service - talked to your first agent named Joan - scripting and when I told her that my story then she went silent and raised up her voice / when I want to have her manager to talk to me then she put me on penalty hold and initially refused to transfer to her manager then she was reluctant to do so - then when her ‘manager’ Kat took over she was totally blunt on the phone and claimed that I have to spend 2x $70 for same week as manual adjustment - when being asked to send me email for confirmation and she was reluctant as well - when complained re her staff then she tried to avoid my topic by 100 percent scripting - woollies everyday rewards never encounter such issues as such offer just disappeared from your app and god know you just changed your T&C from your end and definitely flybuys is the loyalty program that could not be trusted and the poor service I encountered today could be used for good case study for my team members - you guys should feel shameful for the service you provided from your Manila call center - this is what we should call as customer disservice!!!

FLYBUYS NEEDS URGENT ATTENTION

I have done a lot of shopping at various Coles supermarkets.
I had the Smeg knife credits added on, (current promotion) however the $ value has not been added to my transactions. In some cases I have had the flybuy points added on within 7 days as per their terms and conditions, because I did not have my f/bs card with me at the time of the transaction.
I have hundreds of $s owing to my account for December.
This isn't a one off issue, this happens many times.
I've been in touch with their team members before, and I don't think I have the energy to go through it again.
Please employ an IT SPECIALIST and fix your failing system. It needs an URGENT UPDATE.

Would give them minus stars if I could. Didnt get my 8points on petrol for six months was told I needed to produce the fuel receipts WTF who keeps them!! Will now just shop at woolies and Ampol with the rewards card

Flybuys induced unnecessary spending by telling me I had enough credits for free SMEG knives from Coles. I ended up paying for the knives - full price. I've reached out 3 times, even wrote a complaint. Nothing has been done.

I am unable to access my Flybuys points…

I am unable to access my Flybuys points and the overseas contact centre is asking for passport etc to verify who I am, even though they were the ones who gave me the new password resets. Long delays on the phone to speak to anyone and every person I spoke to had a different version of how they were going to help me and fix the problem. I have just wasted an hour of my life trying to get my Flybuys card to work.
The card works at Coles and Bunnings so I SHOULD HAVE ACCESS.
Its not worth having Flybuys and there are better loyalty programs.

One of the worst Australian reward…

One of the worst Australian reward system. Speed $2000 to get 2000 reward points, 2000 rewards gives $10. They stop collaboration with Agl which means less point accumulates. People who shop in Coles and partner business need to get more rewards.

Why can I redeem all my fly buy points…

Why can I redeem all my fly buy points to my online account but I need my phyical card to actually spend the fly buy dollars? I have all my cards saved on my phone but I couldn't use my points because I didn't have my actual fly buys card with me. Very annoying and frustrating. Fix this Coles/Fly Buys!!!!!!!!!

Flybuys is horrible

When I went to Coles Brighton on Saturday there was a 10% discount off shop for Flybuys. When I went to the checkout the 10% discount didn’t work because there is a glitch with their system. Coles Brighton told me to contact flybuys. But when I contacted Flybuys they advised me they would credit points instead of a refund which is unacceptable. I have made a complaint and will wait.

Is a fraud. Customer agent Porni from flybuys Threatened me with a $55 dollar fine and also stated she was also confiscating my points because I cancelled my hotel booking. My booking clearly stated it was free cancellation. At no point ever did it state any fee. On my contract it stated fully refundable. I advise anyone booking to be very aware of this . If it happens to you You should immediately contact Consumer afairs as It is a breach of your consumer rights. Customer service agent Porni is extemly rude and belligerent. I was left shaken from my experience . We all have to make changes to bookings from time to time . If we have made bookings that state they are refundable and are free cancellation as Australian consumers we have the legal right to do so

Voucher not here after one month

I have requested for a voucher after redeeming the points. It has been about a month and its still not here. Where are you sending it from? Mars? Which end from in Australia it take one month to delivery an envelope? Besides no tracking details available. This is the first time I redeemed something and it is so disappointed.

Deceptive Advertising and Disappointing Customer Service

My recent experience with Flybuys' Broadsheet Gift Card program was nothing short of frustrating. Despite selecting the card based on advertised promises of usability at various venues, it consistently failed to work at multiple locations. When seeking assistance, customer service responses were dismissive and offered no resolution. Flybuys' misleading advertising and lack of accountability have left me thoroughly disappointed and questioning their integrity.

Hopeless Customer Service

My Flybuys account was closed due to inactivity. However, it was reinstated, and I've tried to set my password via the lost password link, but no email with instructions for setting my password has arrived (and I have checked SPAM as well). Customer Service said that they couldn't do a manual reset via email (even though it was the email on my account). So I tried ringing and was given two choices - enter details via SMS or leave a voicemail. The SMS just directed me to the password reset process, which had already failed. The voicemail process informed me it would take 10 days to get back to me.

In both scenarios, I had to enter personal information into a faceless system. There was no means of actually talking to a person.

I then contacted customer service once more, reporting my issues with their automated phone service and AGAIN, they told me to ring them between Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm Australian Eastern Time. Except I had already rung between those times on several occasions.
