First Tech Credit Union is the dedicated credit union for employees working in the Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) sector in Ireland. First Tech was established in 1961 and was originally called the Civil Service Credit Union and later became the Telecom Eireann employees credit union and then ESCCU. It was renamed First Tech Credit Union in 2020. Key member benefits include competitive rates on personal loans, various savings options and insurance benefits at no extra cost. Members can borrow up to €120,000* and the maximum savings threshold for individual members is €100,000. (*Terms and Conditions apply). First Tech Credit Union is member-owned and not-for-profit with all profits being returned to members in the form of reduced fees, lower loan rates and attractive dividends. It is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors. In recent years, First Tech has built strong relationships with many companies across the ICT sector, from multi-nationals to SMEs. First Tech works with these companies and their employees to provide information and advice on First Tech’s products and services. Would I recommend? HELL YEAH!!
I could just copy and paste this year after year. This credit union has stood by me for the last 30+ years, from the deposit on my house to the random small loans from time to time. The process is so simple and the staff are extremely helpful if a follow up to an application is required. Best thing my late dad did was to get me in here.
