We always ask if you would prefer us to wait until a heat wave is over. The reason being that after all the months of growing, expert harvesting, drying and fermenting, then the 3 months our cocoa beans take to get us from these remote volcanic islands, before we take the time to roast, grind, conch and carefully hand pack your chocolate, we wouldn't want you to receive your order in anything less than perfect condition. It would seem a shame after all that care and attention to not maintain these high standards!

Great product , great service
Website is informative and nice to know where the beans come from and are different. Really speedy delivery. I bought a set of different percentage choc to try, not through them all, but what I've tasted so far has been good. Nice to have some tasting notes too. Recommend to anyone - much better than any sweet, rubbish choc you can get in a supermarket, and good to support a uk company

As for the price, we endeavour to seek out the best quality cocoa from nutrient-rich volcanic soil and to pay cocoa farmers well above the 'farm-gate' price to ensure that they can make cocoa production a sustainable living for them and their families.
In our efforts to hold true to our values, and going through great lengths to forge relationships with our farmers, knowing them by name and buying directly from them or through their chosen co-operative, the chocolate we make is set at the price that it realistically should be.
