Very disappointed to find out the day after booking and paying for a cottage rental for a week gets cancelled just because my girlfriend and I are under 24.

We are both Young Professionals in full time work with our own home graduated with first class degrees who wanted a romantic getaway but apparently that can be perceived as disruptive like we are going to keep up the neighbors all night.

I will not be returning to this company as even when I tried to call up and enquire as to why they have this policy I was met with terribly poor customer service.

I strongly recommend you spend your money elsewhere to not support such a discriminatory company.

Rented the Hideaway in Falmouth for one week. Property advertised as a place to enjoy peace and quiet. The name suggested just that, in fact it's a ground floor flat in a block of 4. The photographs show a lovely homely apartment, rug in the lounge. However, it was basic at best, needed some basic maintenance, blinds had slats missing, hall storage heater did not work (incidentally I wouldn't class storage heaters as central heating). House keeping was poor, first impression was ok, but after a while we noticed some really grimy areas, i.e. mould on bathroom ceiling, control panel of storage heaters thick dust, freezer in dire need of a defrost, the detergent drawer of the washing machine was really disgusting. Loose covers on sofas stained.
As to peace and quiet, perhaps we were particularly unfortunate that we shared the block with people who did not understand the concept of closing the communal door carefully and worst of all was that for some reason the people upstairs found it necessary to open and slam cupboard doors at 1am this went on for some time.
The instruction booklet contained the incorrect WiFi password, when we queried it we were told that other people had mentioned that and told us to check on the BT box which we did, the first letter should have been lower case, we amended it in the instruction booklet, why that hadn't need rectified after other clients had mentioned it remains a mystery. Instructions for use of parking space was that we should raise the locking post when car not in space, post wouldn't stay up, we rang to make sure we weren't doing incorrectly and were once again told that this was a previous issue - obviously not rectified.
Check in was at 5pm the latest we've ever known so we thought must be because of additional cleaning requirements obviously not the case.
We paid over £1400 for the week so expected top notch facility.
Location in relation to the restaurants shops etc. was good.
As an aside on the website owners section it says to the effect that clients expectation is that the rental property will be as good if not better than their home well The Hideaway fell far below expectation especially in these times of infection control.
We won't use this company again Airbnb have delivered better.
We have photographs to back up our claims if Falmouth Homes are in the least bit interested.

We booked August 2020, wanting somewhere easy and self contained. Outside place was very important, and well as inside. As we would be spending potentially more time in the property than normally given the situation. The outside space was extremely poor with table and chairs that had not and were not maintained. Despite contacting agent nothing was done or followed up. The property in the main was lovely, just did not have the exceptional outside finish for the very expensive price and poor service from the agent. Would not use again which is a shame as most of our holidays for a while will be home grown so to speak.. - we have booked through other agents as service is really important to us.

Very impressed with this company. When our trip was in peril because of COVID they immediately contacted me to offer the choice of alternative dates or a full refund. I chose the refund as we were not sure when it would be safe to travel and the money was back in my account the next day.

We had another week booked with a different Cornish agency and they have been a complete nightmare, refusing to refund us and making us take a credit note that we can't use.

I would recommend Falmouth Holiday Homes without hesitation and will definitely be booking with them again when COVID is no longer a problem.

I have used Falmouth Holiday Homes for many years. I have always had a quick and friendly response from Stuart. He offered a refund due to covid, which was greatly appreciated.
The quality of apartments I have used in Falmouth are very good and would recommend anyone to use this company in the future Andrea

My husband and I can thoroughly recommend Falmouth holiday homes . We have stayed at a lot of their properties, the standards are very high, the service is superb and communication excellent. We have been visiting the area for 30 plus years and have used other companies but they are not as good as Falmouth Holiday homes. You can book in confidence and rest assured that you will have a wonderful holiday x

We had booked Nightingale House and Mews In Falmouth for 12 people over Christmas. Unfortunately we were from multiple households across Southern England and Canada and so it became apparent that we would be unable to have our holiday. Our deposit was refunded in full within a couple of days and with a minimum of fuss. So much better than our experiences with other holiday providers.
