Booked in for a tyre change. Tyre showing in stock on the system but none of the shelf. Took a look and puncture could be repaired. Was sorted free of charge.

As someone that has had many bad experiences with cars and garages, I’m always apprehensive about where to go and who to trust. I approached a number of garages about getting brake disc and pad replacement and an MOT but it was John who, from the outset, was transparent and fair, price matching another dealer and booking me in for a quick turnaround. Communication from start to finish was exemplary and when I arrived to collect the car, instead of feeling uncomfortable and on edge about getting ripped off, I was welcomed and paid exactly what I was quoted, with no hard sell on extras, just fair and transparent guidance. I shall definitely be returning for any future work on either of my two cars.

I booked a replacement tyre via a 3rd party - arrived at my time slot only to be told no appointment was on the system, that the 3rd party do this all the time and you are fully booked! I asked why no one called me, I was advised that as I booked it through a 3rd party I’m their customer so no one from Formula One would call me it would just be cancelled .. I called the company in question and they say they never received a cancellation instruction…..Absolutely terrible customer service. All of my tyres have been fitted by Formula 1 in the past, the excuse that the 3rd party company does this all the time does not shed a good light on them or yourselves!! I have now cancelled my order and gone to Halfords.. I can certainly say I would never use either yourself or the other company again as it seems the customer doesn't really matter as no one wants to take ownership!

My car went in for a full service and MOT. The guys are so friendly and honest about what additional work needed doing and what didn't. Absolutely great experience. Thank you.

Took my car in for an MOT a long while ago but just realised formula 1 had a trustpilot page so thought I’d share what my experience was

Car went in. Failed, I asked why they said anti roll bar boot split and washer jets not spraying but pumps working. I said fair enough nothing much I was then quoted (around this price) £300 to do inner and outer track rods and wheel alignment (may have been more) then again track rods were not mentioned on the mot at all. I said I’m going to collect the car. I had finished my first year of light vehicle maintenance at college and 17 years old at the time. Upon arrival I was basically told step by step how to fix the problems even though I was fully knowledgeable of how to do it. Took the car home the anti roll bar boot was indeed split but the grease inside was clean and the rubber boot had a straight slit on the left side of the upper boot. Looked as if it had been done purpously. The washer jets worked as they should the tester must not have known the rear washer and front washer are on different switches🤦🏽‍♂️
Replaced the drop link and didn’t touch the washer jets as they worked mint

Took the car back for a retest and it failed on the washer jets again. Was told by the guy at reception that they ‘still wasn’t working’ my mate asked if he could ‘show us what they’re meant to look like’ he showed us on his vehicle I then went to my vehicle and sprayed the front windshield with the washer jets that never stopped working in the first place. ‘Oh, it didn’t do that 15 mins ago’ I said it works and it shouldn’t have failed the retest. I was then told my car would be booked in first thing the next morning and it would pass if the washer jets still worked.
Next morning comes. Car passes and I then to my surprise have to pay for a second MOT test. I can understand if the car had a reason to fail the retest but as it never did I believe I should have never paid for another MOT test

Just a warning. If you get asked if you want your track rods and tracking done. Don’t get it done because 9/10 your car will not need track rods doing especially if they were not mentioned on the MOT Certificate. Still have the same track rods on the car over a year later and the boots and ball joints themselves are still mint

Now completed my second year of light vehicle maintenance and repair principles and still believe to this day I was being ripped off. Wish I knew better to report to VOSA for the slit boot

John and the team are always fab, been going there for years and always sort out my tyres for whichever car I've had. No rip-offs, just good, honest stuff from the team which is why I always go back. Sorted out my slow puncture today, no fuss, no excessive charges and all done and dusted, thank you!

Very professional service at a very reasonable price and was given great advice on how to maintain my car going forward and they didn’t take advantage and say that the work needed to be done immediately, which was just what I needed given the current economical climate…..would definitely recommend and I will be returning for the work needed in the future! A***
