**Terrible Service! Formula One Ruined My Car!**

I took my car to Formula One in Astley, and it was the worst decision I’ve ever made. My car had a minor issue, and they managed to make it *worse* than before! When I went back to complain, the manager was unbelievably rude and had the most disgusting attitude I’ve ever encountered. He acted like I was the problem, not their shoddy work. Save yourself the trouble—avoid Formula One at all costs!

Took car for MOT. Failed on orange engine light and front brake disc/pads. They said £350 for discs/pads fitted. Engine light didn’t appear to be an issue if I agreed the brakes to be done and they’d pass on re-test. Pads and discs are about an hours work so that’s about £300 an hour !! Ok. I pick my car up and notice a significant scratch on my rear bumper that wasn’t there before. I have a large dog cage in the back that they would have had to take out to get the locking wheel nut out from the spare wheel area underneath. It has sharp edges which is probably how it happened in my opinion. They said that they with review their CCTV footage that they have to prove if it was them (the guy who did it must have known but obviously never owned up)….. over a week later I’m still waiting for their “verdict” not happy! Last 6 years going to kwik fit for MOT, not 1 advisory and no dramas. I don’t trust F1 on their pricing, honesty, complaint handling - not a good outfit to deal with and I’ll be back to kwik fit next year who have been great in my experience…. Beware the cheap MOT to entice you in - they’ll recoup it plus more with lucrative easy MOT test “fails”.

Gareth was amazing and organised a new tyre the same day when I had a puncture. Everyone here is always really helpful and the prices are very reasonable.

I took my Golf into the Chaddock Lane Ind Estate, Astley Manchester as I needed to get the tyre and wheel checked after someone had backed into my stationary vehicle. Rob was so helpful and took time to thoroughly investigate the suspension and wheel fitting. He also assured me that although the rear tyres were 10 years old (and really should be replaced according to the manufacturer) he was honest enough to say that they would get me back home 220 miles away with no problem. There was no pressure to buy but I decided I would take the opportunity of replacing them anyway. I left the car there and picked it up later from the Manager Gareth - another very friendly and helpful man. I cannot fault their attitude and service and I hope that my recommendation goes a long way to persuade other customer to use them. My son in law was equally impressed and said he would definitely use them in future too.

Poor workmanship, power drilled wheel on instead of using torque wrench. They couldn't fix it (sent me to another garage who they said they usually send cars with these issues to) and then failed to pay for it to be fixed after telling me they would pay for the tyre to be removed. Do not recommend!(Astley) Update: I have now been contacted.

I have been into the Astley garage this lunch time and I have to say what excellent service I had everybody so polite and the job they did was first class give these guys a good Xmas bonus because they're a credit to your business.

I hit a pothole in February. The technicians did a excellent job on replacing the suspension springs. Just had a mini service done and very pleased with the work. The team are very friendly and the prices competitive.

More than just a tyre shop. Good for servicing, MOT’s the lot. They even service my BMW PHEV which not many do!!Fast efficient service, knowledgeable staff and fair prices.

A very strange place. I booked in with my automobile as there was a power problem on the acceleration. I was charged £300+ for the fix, and drove away relatively happy. Apart from on the motorway the next day when the car completely died and almost caused me to crash. I called them furious to which of course they said bring it back. They had the cheek to charge me another £60 AND TOLD ME THEY COULDNT FIX IT. £360 down and put in a very dangerous situation and I was worse off then when I went in. I took it to another garage who found it was a loose connection covered in some oil, £50 charge. I got in touch to complain and was ignored by the 'customer service' at head office, and the local area manager. None cares, they just want your money.

Visited their Astley branch for an MOT & subsequent repairs. During the initial booking for the MOT they answered the phone in a timely manner, were very communicative & found me a suitable slot to have the MOT done.
When the vehicle failed they were able to book me in for another suitable slot to have the vehicle repaired & retested the following week along with quoting me for the work. On the day they carried everything out in a reasonible amount of time and had the vehicle ready for a time I had requested.
Parts & Labour were a decent price too.

I don't think one mechanic works there. They can plug their diagnostics in, just about. Actually fixing anything seems impossible. Money grabbing nitwits.

I've never experienced worse customer service from their customer don't care team. Email them, call them, contact the area manager. Nothing.

I'd call them cowboys but I think an actual cowboy would have had a better chance of fixing my car.

Overcharged. Didn't fix the problem. Excellent. At least I had to call them 3 times to ask. I never recieved one call telling me what was going on, the estimated time, when the car was ready to pick up, the cost. Nothing. Its one thing to rip me off, not fix anything at all, but to force me to waste time asking is ridiculous.

The 'customer service team' are none existent. I'm sure they will give the old comment on this review saying please contact us... I already have. Absolutely no response. What are they paid for? Same goes for the area manager who couldn't care less.

From 5* 18 months ago to 1*. It's not the cost £37.50 to adjust a hand brake it's the fact that it was not badly adjusted to start with, as the car had a complete health check by Ford's only 2 weeks previous, and was fine.

Super fast service. Saw us just before closing and nothing was too much trouble for either of the technicians working there. Very competitively priced. Would deffo recommend.

Will only ever use F1 Autos from now on . Made the wrong mistake when my car failed its MOT to take it to another garage as they has quoted my a cheaper price. When I returned to F1 Autos for the retest they found the other garage has done the wrong work , F1 Autos not only helped me get the work done free of charge from the other garage but then gave me a discount to get my car though its 3rd MOT . All the staff couldn't have been more helpful and professional
