Gave a £99 deposit in order to reserve a car for a test drive. I didn’t buy the car, and have been chasing a refund for weeks! Save yourself the headache and avoid this place, absolutely rubbish customer service!!

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the two vehicles I recently purchased from Evans Halshaw (Walsall).

On 18/02/2025, I purchased a Mitsubishi Outlander. Shortly after driving it home from the dealership, I discovered several issues:

- No heat was entering the cabin, only cold air.

- A noticeable wobble in the steering at around 70mph on the motorway.

- Tyre pressure sensors were not working.

Upon returning the vehicle to the repairs department, I was informed that these faults, particularly the heating issue, are known problems with this model. Unfortunately, the necessary parts were on backorder with no projected date for delivery. Given these issues, I returned the Mitsubishi for a full refund on Friday, 28/02/2025, as I lost confidence in the vehicle's safety and suitability.

On Thursday, 27/03/2025, upon returning the Mitsubishi, I decided to exchange it for a Peugeot 2008 due to my lack of confidence in the original vehicle. I completed all necessary paperwork and arranged to collect the Peugeot the following day, 28/02/2025. Upon collecting the Peugeot 2008, I immediately noticed the engine warning light was on, indicating yet another faulty vehicle. The service department briefly inspected the car and determined it required repair work. Despite my reservations, I drove away with this faulty vehicle, only to find that the auto stop/start system was not functioning, and the tyre pressure sensors were also not working.

I am seriously considering returning this vehicle for a full refund and taking my business elsewhere.

The level of support, customer service, and after-sales care I have received has been extremely disappointing.

The car I saw was as advertised and in an immaculate condition. The salesman who dealt with me, Dayton Bisla, couldn't have been more helpful. He answered my questions and dealt with me as I would have expected to be dealt with. He is a credit to EH.

Spent alot of money buying a new(used) car from ford walsall,had to be returned to them within a week of having it,had to spend even more money paying for extended warranty for some piece of mind.
Brought last two cars from a car supermarket never had any issues with them,

U can not go round with ford not got a bad word to say a bout them

I think it is very unlikely, for a number of reasons, that I will be purchasing a car from Evans Halshaw again.

When I chose not to take up any of the extended warranties or wheel/tyre protection, your salesman decided to push finance on to me, which I had already told him I did not want. But he proceeded to sell it in a way that implied that if I took £2500 of finance and instantly paid off £2400 of it, leaving me £100 to pay over 36 months, that somehow this would afford me some protection over the car, should anything happen. This seemed very odd to me, but he was so pushy, that to my shame, I fell for it. It didn't sit well with me, so I phoned the finance company, who informed me that what your salesman had told me was, as I suspected, a complete fabrication. Shocking that a company likes yours would stoop to such dishonest levels to secure a bit of finance!!

Before I had driven my car away from your premises, the first thing it said was 'washer level low', which would indicate that the service you claimed to have carried out wasn't very thorough. On the day the we chose to purchase the car, my wife asked if a little scratch could be sorted, your salesman said he see what he could do..... nothing was done. I would have thought a company of your size and reputation would ensure that their customer would leave happy.

Then after two days my car wouldn't start! Which meant I had to borrow my wife's car and my mother in laws car, which inconvenienced them, but I needed my car for work. In fairness you did come and collect it and took four days to put a new battery in it. The car was then returned to me with no explanation as to what needed to be done and what was actually done. What's more, a car was left outside my house for these four days, surely that could have been offered as a courtesy car???

Not a great advert for your company, I could actually go on, but I think you get the idea.

We had a service and MOT due. Our car was collected, we were telephoned later to give us an update and to ask if we want the necessary work done, which we do. We were telephoned when the car was ready, paid by car and the car was brought home ,done and valeted
