My wife and I have been quite a few times and love it , the food is excellent , the bar is great and a great atmosphere , the olives are the best I have ever had anywhere I have ever been need to book it’s so good

We went to the restaurant for the first time last night. The waitresses were superb, attentive, professional and helpful. Our food was delicious, we particularly liked the bang bang cauliflower and padron peppers.

Unfortunately, I noticed that a couple who arrived after us were served first. Even though we were a party of 4, this should not have prevented us being served first. When you order multiple dishes you need room on the table. With such small tables it was difficult to do and we were constantly putting dishes elsewhere or the waitress was taking them away.

I went for dinner, dinner was lovely, not Spanish standards but we are in the UK so ingredients are limited. I came forward to the owner (Ash or Hash I can't remember) I asked him if he was looking for any positions to be filled and he gave me his card. I soon after left, and carried on with my evening. I came back to drink with the same friend and got talking to the bartender and asked how she liked working there (she said it's fine but the owner Is a abit temperamental. This is normal I thought. She said how she was younger than 18 and got paid very little. I said that's ridiculous as she was front of house and serving all the drinks by her self. So with confidence I went to the owner and said how I think she should get more as she is doing such a good job for his business and getting so little paid. He immediately started shouting at me saying "I always get people telling me how I should run my business and how I should pay my staff" I was absolutely shocked by this as I thought he would greet me with the same respect as I shown him at the start. I think he drinks a lot and doesn't know when to stop so he can't have an honest and professional conversation with someone. We ended with shouting which I really wish we didn't but he pushed my buttons which a 'manager' shouldn't do, especially after asking one question. I was not calm when I left his restaurant. I was furious. I've never dealt with this kind of unprofessionalism before. I loved the food but he let the place down. I'm sorry.

Booked Bottomless Brunch for combined celebrations postponed due to Covid.
We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived. Shown to our table, room really, very intimate, by a lovely waitress with an even lovelier smile.
Cannot fault the food, service or atmosphere. Charlie was very attentive and kept our glasses full. It felt like we were in Spain instead of overcast Witham. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning soon.

Went for bottomless brunch here on Saturday and couldn’t rate or recommend El Pulpo enough! The Spanish feel and decor was authentic, the food was outstanding and so delicious and the service was excellent from all staff we dealt with. The sangria was amazing, the value for money was excellent. Really great local place for Witham for true tapas style food! We lived in Spain for some time and it was on par if not better than genuine Spanish tapas. Will definitely return!
