In my fifties, I've been diving into Dutch with Jelle for almost two years. Although it's quite a challenging language, Jelle's outstanding teaching, patience, and friendly demeanor make the process enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend Jelle to anyone interested in learning.

Jelle is a very good teacher, helping us with the fundamentals of Dutch to give us a great foundation for learning the language. Professional materials provided and very well organised.

Subtly Brilliant. I am learning Dutch for fun. I could learn wider spoken languages, but I choose Dutch because it has been a culture that has interested me. Jelle teaches the foundations of grammar and vocabulary in a very gradual way, which remains fun. He integrates Dutch culture and history to give relevance to the rules of the language. I really enjoy this class.

I’m in my 50’s and I have been learning Dutch with Jelle now for nearly 2 years. It’s not the easiest language to learn, but Jelle is an excellent teacher, patient and very easy to laugh and get along with.

I have been undertaking this course for 5 weeks. Jelle is an excellent teacher/coach and his course material enables you to "translate" from English thinking to Dutch. I had absolutely no basis in the language before starting and am taking the course for work purposes. Already I can greet colleagues in Flanders appropriately and can understand some of the chat discussions on Teams calls.

In addition to his own materials, he has his module loaded on Memrise (like DuoLingo only you actually learn something useful with Memrise!). This is really helpful for building and practising useful vocabulary.

The classes I had with Jelle were very engaging and well planned. Despite happening over Teams he made sure everyone in the class was engaged and getting involved, and gave very helpful corrections.

The price of the course was reasonable, considering how tricky it can be to find Dutch classes. I would absolutely recommend Jelle to anyone wanting to learn Dutch!

This is an amazing way to learn Dutch. Jelle is a great teacher and takes you through the 'building blocks' at a nice steady pace. The learning material is easy to understand and access. I would highly recommend this teacher.

Firstly, it's not just for beginners! I have been studying Dutch for many years and can honestly say that I have learnt far more with Jelle than other tutors I have had.

As I live some distance away, the lessons are via Skype but this has never been a problem. Jelle is a very patient teacher who always takes time to explain grammar thoroughly, and makes sure you have understood everything before moving on. We typically cover a lot of ground in one hour but Jelle's friendly and good-humoured manner always makes the lessons enjoyable.

The syllabus is fine. But, not being able to move backwards limits its usefulness.
Being able to go back over a word or phrase, repeatedly, is the way I get to remember.

Jelle is wonderful - very flexible, friendly, and a great teacher. I wanted to learn a lot in a short period of time and there was no problem changing the structure of the course to fit round what I needed to focus on. I very much enjoy our lessons and have learnt a great deal. Would 100% recommend!

I lived in Holland, just North of Amsterdam for 5 years, over 30 years ago and I visit friends there at least once a year. My Dutch is very rusty, I get by (kind of!) but I wanted to improve so that I could hold conversations without getting frustrated, and confused, as I love Holland so.

My daughter, Becky who was born in Holland and lived there until she was 2, bought us both a 'taster' lesson with Jelle as a Mother’s Day present over 2 years ago . We decided we loved it so much that we would go together every week for a lesson from then on.

The lesson's are great fun (well I have a lot of fun!) informative, challenging and, hopefully, improving my Dutch speech, understanding, writing and pronunciation.

The interactive learning tool that supports our lessons is a great way to revise what we have learnt and is quite addictive! It can be accessed via the computer or your mobile and its quirky style is also a lot of fun. I particularly like the personalisation as it is Jelle's voice pronouncing the words which is cool. You can dip in and do a level about a specific area of the language or revise work you have previously done. There's also a leader board for those who are a bit competitive!

Jelle's very personal style, patience and sense of humour make the hour fly by. The one-to-one teaching style suits me as he tailors the lesson to strengths and weaknesses. Homework is set (groan) but it usually includes a fun listening exercise which I enjoy.

I would highly recommend Jelle to anyone wanting to learn Dutch, at whatever level. I'm already looking forward to going back to Amsterdam next year and being able to speak and understand the language better which will enhance an already enjoyable experience.
