I ordered the Taylors Historic Limited Edition Reserve Tawny Port from Drinkfinder, which is still available on their website.

It was packaged and insulated in a huge over-sized box, carefully packed in with piles and piles of padding. On opening it, the historic limited edition package had completely fallen apart - with the top and bottom panels removed and the side panels with dents from the bottle. The different parts of the packaging look like they had been glued together poorly in the first place; and when I tried to supeglue them it was clear they are not designed to hold something as heavy as a bottle of port.

It was a Xmas gift I had to hand it over that day, which meant after the superglue attempt had failed I just removed the packaging in toto and presented the bottle on its own - but this isn't great for something that's supposed to be "historic limited edition", where the stand-out packaging is what stands it out and makes it prestigious.

On contact, drinkfinder did come back straightaway (which is good) but they said this is a known issue (which is bad).

They have offered me a refund on the economy postage, which is OK but not massively impressed with this - nor the original product, for what is quite an expensive purchase. They did say I could return it all for a full refund, but having gifted the bottle that's not an option for me.

It was my first time using the site and am not sure I'd use it again. Would suggest avoiding this product if you're buying it as a gift.

I have used the online shop previously with no issues.
But on my latest order the wrong item was sent. After contacting them I was told they had technical glitches which had now been sorted .
So the SKU number I had ordered was now linked to the item they sent.
No offer of a return was made and I am left with the wrong whisky.
Very poor customer service.

As a further note I did telephone the shop before dispatch to confirm it was batch 3. If on this phone call I had been told it was batch 2. I would have cancelled.
I do have a screen shot of my order, that says batch 3. But when I called the shop they were not interested.

Minutes after I created an account my social media account was accessed by someone in London. This is not a coincidence. I'm glad I didn't give them my CC.

I took clients out for lunch last week. We enjoyed a "2015" Australian Shiraz. I got home searched for this wine and was delighted to find it on Amazon at a very modest price. I bought 34 bottles of 2015. Anyhow, delivered this morning, but not what i wanted, not what i had tasted (The 2015 vintage) but they delivered a 2018. This is not what i wanted, certainly not what i wanted. Anyhow i called this firm, and explained. My call was taken by a gentleman who certainly enjoyed the sound of his own voice as he interupted me none stop through the whole conversation. I explained the issue above but said "I am happy to try this 2018 vintage (Hoping ill like it) and if i do like it....i'll still take it"

Fair enough offer i thought?

I went on to explain that if i don't like it, it will have to be returned. "Yes he said that's fine but if you decide you don't like it and want it to be taken back, you will have to pay for the bottle you've tried" No thank you, please arrange to have the whole lot collected. Its not what i ordered. In short, this firm got it wrong, despite this, i said "Its not what i wanted, i'm happy to try it, save the cost of collection i'm thinking" But, if i don't like it, you want me to pay for the bottle of tasting wine that was only required......because of your firms mistake. Really? I mean really. Have i got something wrong here? Am i being unreasonable?

Quite a joke really, you'd rather pay the cost of couriers to collect rather than risk the cost of one bottle of wine?

I typically spend around £100,000 per year on wine. Perhaps not the best decision this firm has ever made. I hope the speed of collection and payment to my account takes place as fast as i paid for the wine. I'm sure this firm will have my details on file, i'm happy to take calls to discuss this matter

Mind you if it was not such a serious case of blubbering incompetent customer relations it would be very funny.

I ordered some sherry as a gift, paying for next day delivery. The delivery is hopefully arriving today, 3 days late, with my £2 credit refunded, the extra over cost of next day. Not the end of the world, but rather disappointed. Probably wont use Drink Finder again.

Very slow delivery service from drink finder and the courier they used for my delivery DHL is hopeless, you wait in for days with the DHL website showing that your item will be delivered and 3 days later if you are lucky the item finally arrives.

Drinkfinder is very good for choice of Wines Spirits Beers plus Gifts their prices are very good and the delivery is very fast and reliable I've purchased some very hard to get Gins from them I would certainly recommend this company.

When I placed my order I didn't get an order confirmation which was a bit odd so had to email to check to make sure it had been processed and also paid extra for Next Day delivery but didn't get what I paid for. Shame as I waited at work for it. I also asked for a gift message to be included and it was just printed on an invoice....
