We use APC Express 24 hour for all shipments. Standard UK Mainland delivery typically takes 5–7 working days for in-stock items, with next day delivery available once dispatched. Scottish Highlands, Islands, and Isle of Man: 2–4 working days after dispatch.

The Aga Tops have no means of attaching…
The Aga Tops have no means of attaching them to the cooker lids and so are of no use unless I can somehow sew on some sort of tabs which such items always had in the past. It’s a defective product and it’s disgracefully misleading to sell them without explaining that they are no longer attachable to the lids so to speak. As soon as the lid is lifted they fall on the floor. Most unsatisfactory.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. However, we believe this review may be better directed to AGA Cookshop, as it doesn't appear to reflect the service we provided to you directly.
For clarification, AGA chef's pads have not featured loops for (what we believe to be) over a decade, this was a deliberate safety decision made by AGA following a fire incident which was attributed to the original design. The loops were deemed not safe as they couldn't be quickly removed from a heat source.
This design tweak, for the safety of their customers, was completely AGA's own design choice many years ago, and I don't believe should reflect our service to you as an independent retailer.
With this in mind, I hope you would re-consider your review, as it is unfortunately, very damaging to our small, family-run business.

Appalling after sales support
A really disappointing after sales experience. I naively thought that by buying through Diss Ironworks I would get assistance, should I need it, with any issues. I purchased an Aga Masterchef Deluxe earlier this year which I received in March. It was faulty on arrival and, after emailing the details, I had to chase via phone on several occasions to get assistance from Diss Ironworks. They then passed to whole issue to AGA Rangemaster and had no interest in the situation thereafter. I had a second faulty cooker delivered direct by Aga Rangemaster as a supposed replacement and I am having to tell Diss Ironworks what is happening - they really showed no interest. When I reported the second faulty item to Aga and Diss Ironworks jointly nobody even bothered to respond until I chased again. The refund I requested, out of sheer frustration, had to be followed up before I finally received it without any acknowledgment whatsoever of the problems I had experienced. The whole debacle started in March and ended in September.
I expected much more support and consideration of the situation but was left totally high and dry.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry to read about the difficulties you have experienced and want to take the opportunity to provide some context around the situation.
From the moment you first contacted us in April with worries about your cooker, we responded promptly and worked hard on your behalf throughout this process. You reached out to us on the 7th of this month, and within two days we had requested videos to help diagnose the issue quickly. Two working days later to this, we asked for further videos of the issue and six working days later you sent us a video which we then reported to AGA on your behalf.
By the 30th, we had reviewed the videos, stayed in contact and reported the issues to AGA, with an engineers visit booked. At this point you requested that they wait until the end of May to visit as you were away. This was arranged.
On the 22nd May, the engineer visited where the problem was diagnosed but could not be fixed that day. From this point we consistently chased them for updates, escalating your case when progress was too slow. We appreciate that the timeline felt frustrating - however, as an independent retailer, the repair and replacement process is managed directly by AGA as the manufacturer, and we were pushing hard behind the scenes to get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.
By early June, you were experiencing more issues, that I understand were incredible frustrating. Both ourselves and AGA had been trying to get in contact during this time, but unfortunately on the 4th June you had missed correspondence from our customer services team and a call from AGA on the week prior (29th May).
We chased for you further on the 4th and you had a successful call with AGA with a new engineer date booked.
From this point, although we asked for you to keep us in the loop, we were unfortunately left out of some correspondence, causing delays to our ability to help. You sorted a replacement cooker, and the funding for an interim temporary hob with AGA directly, which we did not get made aware of until after this had been sorted.
Your replacement cooker was delivered on the 27th July. We are sorry that the replacement cooker also presented issues, and that there were delays in information being relayed after the engineer visits, we acknowledge this should have been followed up more swiftly, and we have fed this back to the supplier, in order to refine our own communication with them. This being said, throughout, we remained in regular contact and continued to advocate for a resolution, which ultimately resulted in a full refund being agreed and processed, alongside the uplift of your second cooker.
We genuinely value our customers and take pride in going above and beyond to support them. I am so sorry that you feel your experience did not reflect that and I hope our response gives a fuller picture.
