I was banned over 12 months ago for disagreeing with the clique on the "This Is Most Definitely Not An Appreciation Thread", where they are constantly ridiculing Kevin Clifton. I am a Londoner born and bred, but their continual character assassination of Kevin beggars believe. When I tried to protest about their posts, I was banned. I have since tried to rejoin to no avail.How the hell can you receive a lifetime ban over a difference of opinion on Strictly Come Dancing? Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Their forum mods make the Nazis look benevolent.

Over ten years posting on this forum. Gone downhill in recent years with obnoxious cliques of trolls and baiters shutting down any viewpoints that don't accord with theirs. Mods seem happy to ban anyone outside of those cliques, while letting the worst offenders continue. Extreme radical ideologues and SJW's seem to have some hold over the moderation. The definition of fascism IMO.

Don't annoy the LGBT community there - and by annoy I mean holding a slightly differing viewpoint - because you're going to be hounded trolled and shut down. They are the most intolerant, self righteous bunch of ideologues, and I say that as a member of the community myself.

If you enjoy mud slinging, hyperbolic bun fights, go there. Don't expect much in the way of decent discussion though.

Digital Spy Forum used to be a great place but it's turned into a leftwing fest lately and woe betide anyone that doesn't hold those views. I've seen people who have been members for years suddenly get banned for no apparent reason than not agreeing with the majority. I would say it's got to the stage where calling it a discussion forum is stretching the truth further than Pinocchio's nose! Sad it's got like that with too many trolls and clichés ready to report anyone not in the 'in crowd'.

Censors members posts if they disagree with something that goes against political correctness. Avoid at all costs. Its a toxic place. Does not welcome free speech at all!

Fascists are rampant on this forum too and DS fails to do anything about it. I take it as a sign of their endorsement for far left politics.

I have tried to register to be able to contribute to the forums (fora?). I have tried twice a couple of weeks apart. In case of a problem with my email address, I used an alternate address for the second attempt. In neither case have I received any response whatsoever. What is the problem?

Just got to mention DS forums, the only part of the site that I've used since joining way back in 2008. Serious decline in past year or two. Baiting and blatant trolls across the forums, even on subjects that you'd imagine would offer these idiots who disrupt online forums little to troll about. They may deny it but the site seems to let some people run riot with attitude and bad behaviour against others, even tolerating dubious and offensive posts,while at the same time clamping down hard and fast on a large section of others for very little. When I joined 10 years ago the moderation was some of the best, now it's some of the worst. I keep getting reported by the same girl on a BBC Four TV show thread, it must be a dozen times these past couple of years and it's a miracle I'm still active when the moderators seem to take their tales seriously. I'm going to leave by choice before long anyway.

The quality of their output has gone down considerably over the past couple of years. These days it's just full of opinion pieces, trashy tabloid articles and endless ranking lists. Terrible. Very badly written too. I cringe reading some of their articles.

The website is alright and good for looking up movies.
