Month 2 food wasn’t delivered, yet money taken! Rang constantly for about 2 weeks with no reply. Also emailed, again nothing back. Contacted my bank for a refund. Eventually got a reply from my call! I was told I needed to pay to cancel the contract! Although they broke it by not delivering !!
Agent put the phone down as didn’t like being told I wouldn’t be paying as they broke the contract!
Still nothing is email. Called again, no agents available. Another week or so, managed to get an agent, again I’m told I need to pay £70 to cancel or they would sent the next subscription! I explained they broke the contract! Apparently they had an invalid post code, not sure how as the first month arrived okay! Again agent put the phone down as didn’t like being told I wasn’t going to pay a cancellation fee!
They say they have replied to emails but none have arrived, yes checked my Junk folder, nothing there either.
I’ve written to them, no reply. I’ve emailed every day. No reply! I’ve called everyday, no agents available!
Second month was due, but I have cancelled my subscription! Bank aware.
They have my number, and address but not had any contact from them to sort this. Even though on my last review they said they were in contact with me!!!
Jane plan much nicer meals, and no hassle. Food arrived on time!

Diet Chef is Jane plan
Diet Chef is the same as Jane plan, which my wife and I tried before and did not have a good experience with.
On this occasion, they have ignored our requests to change some of the meals and sent two standard boxes.

I like the meat based meals as I don’t like vegetables and the meals are tasty I like them and love the pancakes and took note of your tips for dieting but I am trying to add some carrots to the diet meals as only like carrots and peas so glad your meals are not involving vegetables and don’t like a lot of spices but curry’s seem mild which I like and did loose a stone last time I tried your diet meals so hoping g to do same again and thank you for tips on dieting do fall of the wagon sometimes but I am determined to loose weight as I feel I can cope on your meals thank you

Amazing food really
Amazing food really filling. My weight has gone down just over 2 stone!!
The only problem is trying to take the lids of the meals very tough to get off-I suffer from arthritis in my hands so difficult to get a grip maybe Diet Chef can come up with a solution
Apart from that it’s amazing!!!

Tasteless coconut chicken curry
I was a customer many years ago and loved the main dishes, I have just returned and had the coconut chicken curry tonight - very disappointing. The dish has only 29% chicken which was dry and chewy, lots of hard water chestnuts, rice was indistinguishable and looked like cous cous and the whole dish was tasteless - really hope things improve.

I am a bit disappointed with weight…
I am a bit disappointed with weight loss I’m into week 3and have only lost 3lbs ,I am doing a food diary so I know I have not cheated diet chef say lose 7lbs a I understand that is not always possible but 2lb in a week and 1lb the second week I will not be doing it any more after month ,I enjoy the breakfasts and some of the dinners but only the soups for lunch
Some of the food is to spicy for me ,also like the snacks my favourite is chocolate cranberries

Good way to kick start weight loss
Overall ordering easy delivery really fast.
A couple of disappointing things for me. Porridge oats don't soften sufficiently, so now leave them soaking in milk for 15 mins before cooking.
Text mex bean pot should carry a warning it is really spicy and hot. Couldn't eat so binned it. Jade a 2nd one in box that's binned also
I've lost 4lb in first week but also exercising.
Signed for one month that's all I'll do. Its helped me on my way

Only 2 meals I wouldn't have again
Only 2 meals I wouldn't have again. I love macaroni but not your one and the Mexican lunch is too spicy for me. Everything else is to my taste and I especially love the lentil and bacon soup.

Healthy portions of healthy food
I am in my second week of Diet Chef meals and am pleasantly surprised at how much I am enjoying the food. I am trying meals I would never have chosen too so I am getting a good variety of meals. Really crap
Really crap. The food is terrible tasting, they expect 1000 calories per day for man?? Absolutely insanity. Avoid at all costs, one month of food lasted me 2 weeks so ended up paying double for food over this course. You can't cancel over website either, have to ring up?? Advertising scam at its finest.

In terms of calorie intake, our male plans are designed to provide around 1,000 calories per day from Diet Chef meals alone. We recommend supplementing this with your own choice of fruit, vegetables and dairy, which brings the daily total to around 1,400 calories. This level supports a safe and steady weight loss of 1–2lbs per week, which is in line with NHS guidance.
Yes, cancellations currently need to be processed through our support team. However, we’re always looking at ways to improve and appreciate your feedback on this.

Completed just over a week, and must say the meals are very tasty lost 8lb so far. Portions are small, but I soon got used to it, and add vegetables to dinner meals. The soups are tasty, overall thus far very enjoyable.

Great choice of tasty food
Great choice of tasty food. The snack sizes are very small portions indeed. Alot of will power not to have 2 at a time. As long as you have alot of fruit and veg, these meals will fill you up. I've already lost 5lbs in my first week.
