The summer offer says £100 off for the…
The summer offer says £100 off for the 28 day plan. But I was automatically signed up for 6 months, when I only have half a stone to loose. It’s very misleading and I would advise anyone not to get caught as diet chef now want another £90 to cancel something I never wanted. Beware!!!!

We would like to clarify that all of our plans run on a 28-day cycle, with plan durations ranging from 1 to 6 months. This summer offer was available on selected longer-duration plans, including our 3, 4 and 6-month plans. We try to make this as clear as possible by including the details in our newsletters and displaying the plan durations and eligible plans in bold. The plan duration selected is also shown in the order confirmation email and within your Diet Chef account.
You can of course cancel a plan at any time, and we have a cancel any time policy with no cancellation fees. However, because longer-duration plans are offered at a discounted price, if you cancel early we simply ask that the difference in price between the plan you signed up to and the duration completed is paid.

So far I am impressed
I was impressed that delivery was made the next day and within the time slot stated. The meals are full of the protein element, adding veg, fruit and dairy bulks them out nicely and I do not feel hungry. My only small negative is that they are too spicy for my taste, and would like a bigger variety of English cuisine and less Oriental or Indian. I do not like the cheesy fish dish however and will not be reordering that one. Macaroni cheese also is not very appetising.

Worth the investment

All of the lunches and dinners taste the same with one piece of meat in them except the mince meals.

I liked that the meals can be stored in…
I liked that the meals can be stored in the cupboard and quickly heated in the microwave.
The meals so far have been very brown in colour even the mash on top of the vegetarian cottage pie was brown. Off putting, but it didn't taste too bad.

Further to my review of yesterday
Further to my review of yesterday, I have read other reviews and it appears one gentleman is being allowed to return his delivery. Can I ask why one rule for one and another for others? I offered to return my unwanted, unopened delivery and pay the carriage costs but that wasn't agreed to. I was asked by Diet Chef to remove the name of the person whose review I referred to. I have done this but the injustice is still there!

The meals are excellent
The meals are excellent - a bit difficult to get the plastic cover removed, but a good helping of the varied meals.
The delivery service is very good, well packed, and delivered on time.
I wasn't able to continue after the three month contract, as the cost was too much for me to afford, once it returned to the full price, and it was simple to cancel any future orders.

Second time using diet chef, was not notified of delivery good job was home, portions seem even smaller, grizzle on meat, clear film difficult to remove, tipped 1 meal on worktop. Not happy this time,may cancel further orders
