My family love the fresh sausages you cannot beat the quality unless you make them yourself!

A great customer experience, even when things go wrong
I have ordered from their website several times since discovering them this year. The boxes they ship are generally very well packed, and they pay great attention to fresh products by including insulated bags and gel ice packs to keep items fresh during transport.
In case of delivery issues, as happened to me with DPD, they respond quickly and step in to resolve any inconvenience, providing excellent customer service.
I will definitely continue to be their customer.

Had an issue with my order which was…
Had an issue with my order which was promptly resolved and this is now on the way. Issue was with DPD but Delicatezza resolved everything at their expense which I thought was class service.
DPD is yet to communicate to me what happened to my parcel which is poor from their side.

Genuine italian delicacies
I regularly order baby food every month for my children and some delicacies from my hometown that I miss so much and that I can't find anywhere. We had a little mix-up at the beginning with Deliveries, but then the owner himself called me and explained what to do. From then on, I've never had any problems. Everything always arrives on time. If you want to eat Italian food, I recommend it.

If I could I would give them 0 stars, ordered end of November for 10th December delivery, they send it via DPD courier - parcel didnt arrive, when contacting them and asking for refund the man on the phone, was very defensive and told me to wait another day to receive it! imagine meat siting for 48hrs in the box allegedly with dry ice - it would be stinky! anyway after repeatedly asking for refund and him denying to do it, i said i would live them negative feedback - which he replied "I don care!" - yes you reading it right, they do not care. Blaming courier for non delivery, knowing they are cheapest around and very poor service isnt a top of the customer service experience you would expect from someone charging 5£ per 400g of sausage. NEVER AGAIN! STAY AWAY!

We’re sorry you felt you had a bad experience, but parts of your review are not accurate, so we’d like to clarify the facts.
Your order was dispatched on time from our warehouse on 09 December using DPD’s Next Day by 8pm service.
We completely understand the frustration caused by couriers not providing end customers timely updates, especially during the very busy period following Black Friday and in the run-up to Christmas. When you contacted us around midday on 10 December, the parcel was already loaded onto the DPD van and out for delivery, which we tried to explain to you. We appreciate the conversation became very tense, but at your request we recalled the parcel and processed a full refund immediately.
For reassurance, our chilled packaging is designed and tested to keep products fresh and safe for up to 48 hours, even in the event of a courier delay.
Our team is always here to help, and we will continue doing everything we can to provide reliable service.

Great food and great service. Have been ordering from them for several years now. Only one occasion when the delivery failed during a bank holiday week and Delicatezza made it right. Particular praise for their Salcicciamo sausage and meatball products.

Unable to delivery despite two weeks notice
Ordered over two weeks ago to test before a roll out over all our locations, repeatedly chased them - repeatedly told it was out for delivery - then was emailed and told it wasn't but was out on Monday - Monday comes, I have to call and told 'they forgot to load' the truck - then finally told on the phone that It was our fault for not giving them more time - have NEVER dealt with a wholesaler that cannot fulfil an order with two and half weeks notice.

Unfortunately, the order was placed without prior contact, so by the time we spoke the weekly delivery window for your area had already passed. Delicatezza itself is an excellent service but i WISH they would stop using DHL. 3 times now they have delivered my parcel to a completely random address, miles from my house, hours after the allotted timeframe. They are an absolutely sh*t delivery company and i think my parcel would have more chance reaching me if it was delivered by a carrier pigeon. Unsure whether i will be ordering again after the latest fiasco (i had to drive to some random persons house to get my box, and this person refused to hand it over until i threatened to call the police - NIGHTMARE)

Not great this time
It is not the first time I buy from delicatezza and the wrapping has always been good but this time has been bad.
I had to throw away packages of pasta and flours as the fresh food was not packed well and they arrived basically wet.
I wanted to rate this experience with a 2 stars but since the other times it was good I have given a 3- star rate to this experience.
I would suggest to make sure that the fresh food is well-wrapped

Stale food and hair in my cake
I was relatively happy when i got my order and just had a couple issues with some products that despite not being reduced tasted dry and stale (the best before date was fine I’m not sure how that happened and don’t want to think about it), until i opened one of my pan di stelle merendina and took a bite and a whole curly light brown hair came out of it. I spent £70 on my order and i was so disgusted by the hair that i found half way through eating my merendina that i immediately threw the rest away. I was gagging so bad because of how utterly disgusted i was. I would rate it one star but i acknowledge that this is someone’s business and don’t want to affect ratings too badly but this was actually disgusting.

That said, we were surprised to read this in a public review without any direct contact. We always encourage customers to reach out first so we can resolve things quickly and properly.
Just to clarify: Delicatezza is an importer and distributor — we don’t manufacture the products ourselves. We’re happy to liaise with the brand directly for you, but it’s important that issues like this are flagged so we can take appropriate steps.
You also mentioned being “relatively happy” with the rest of your order. Since our service covers pricing, packing, and delivery — all of which seem to have gone well — it feels a little disheartening to receive a 2-star review based solely on one product fault.
