Avoid thieving scum
I booked Darroch View Cottage for 1 night stay during a road trip around Scotland with my brother who was flying in from Australia. This was one of 6 hotels we booked. Due to Coronavirus my brothers flights were cancelled but more to the point the 5 other hotels also cancelled on us, I contacted Darroch View requesting a refund in light of the pandemic and was told they are still open and booking stands, they are 400 miles from my home so I have no way of getting there for just 1 night. The owner was incredibly rude and couldn't care less. No refund. Now I support independent business and as such paid the full amount up front rather than the 30% non refundable booking fee, in light of this I thought Darroch View would refund my money less the 30%, more fool me they kept the lot!! Be warned do not book this place avoid at all cost!
