Thanks so much for your very kind words! Indeed, we are 100% human and all of our work is 100% human written! Avoiding AI in CVs is of course increasingly important these days if you don't want your CV to get filtered out by the AI that recruiters and employers themselves use. But, most importantly, we don't see our work so much as CV writing as career positioning. The writing is a vital part of the process, of course - but it doesn't matter how good the writing is if we don't first establish precisely how best to position a client to maximise their chances of achieving their career goals.

I had assumed, like most job hunting support, it would have included a sales pitch for a course of some kind, but it was clear his main priority is to help. We are strategic CV advisors and consultants. We do offer a free CV review service - but our primary fee-based service is to actually create our clients' CVs for them, ensuring they position themselves as effectively as possible in what is evidently a very tough job market.

I have personally reviewed your new CV and can't identify any issues at all with the formatting. It is flawless, with not a single inconsistency. If you could elaborate as to why you feel your CV is poorly formatted then we can certainly discuss this.
We actually have professional graphic designers on staff for our CV templates. They most certainly do stand out - especially by comparison to the overused free templates which many people use. (And all are, of course, fully ATS compatible.)
I do of course recognise the frustration of not being able to get interviews despite having a strong CV - especially when you have been out of work for some time. It is an extremely tough job market right now and, sadly, many people are in the same situation.
If you can provide us with some examples of roles you have applied for then we can help you to determine whether or not they are suitable. We can also see if we can optimise your CV further, based on these examples.
I must strongly caution against the use of AI - and I do hope you haven't been using it on the CV we created for you so as to tailor it yourself for individual roles. We have seen this happening increasingly - with people not understanding the risks. More and more recruiters and employers are using AI themselves to filter out and discard CVs where AI has been used to tailor them. Using AI in this manner means you risk having your CV thrown out before it even has a chance to be seen by a human being.

I must note that it was only a first draft and we are of course more than happy to work on it further if you are able to provide us with some more constructive feedback as to why you are not happy.

Not more likely to get an interview
The process was great but I used this as a way to update my CV ready to apply for private industry roles. Had zero replies or interviews. Tailored and tweaked for each role as advised by the expert. Had nothing at all. Not worth the money.
In fact my terrible CV had got more success. The claims about greater success are clearly from a very limited sample. Don’t believe it at all.

We're naturally very sorry that you feel this way, Thomas.
To be precise, we're very pleased that you thought our process was great - and you were very happy with your CV when we produced it - but we're very sorry that you haven't yet achieved your goals.
Complaints are fortunately rare at The CV Centre - so I always investigate them personally.
I have carefully reviewed all of our work and am personally of the opinion that it is of a very high standard - and, quite obviously, vastly superior to your original. I wouldn't be so rude as to describe it as "terrible" - but it really did need a lot of improvement! (I definitely wouldn't recommend using the original again.)
Evidently, you are not achieving the desired results, though...
A transition from the civil service to the private sector is always a particularly difficult one, especially in today's very, very tight job market. There is just so much competition. Hundreds of applicants for each role - and only one actually gets the job, of course.
What I would suggest is that you get back in touch with us, providing a good sample of roles you have applied for, and we can (a) assess whether or not they are roles for which you should have been considered and (b) review your CV to see if there are any possible enhancements which can be made to better target these kinds of role.
You may not have got the job you want yet - but we are still here to support you.

Waited 15minutes for a CV review, Google Meeting with no one showing up to the meeting, and no email to reschedule or to apologize for the no-show. If they can't even attend a meeting, how do they want to conduct business, and do you actually want to trust them with your resume?

It was an emergency…
My experience was an emergency application which I was a little afraid to ask of, desperation- no time to complete myself or headspace- made me do it. A bit pricey, but...
Came back pretty quickly and submitted on time. Used CV Centre many years ago- a true gain, my inbox and mobile never stopped until I accepted a post, so trusted quality and service. What I received was suitable to submit. Only wished there was a 'January sale', but don't be put off, my request was at Defcon 4 at the time and only wished I was not so busy a few weeks prior to request CV Centre service for another job I really liked, with a short closing date. Was happy with the personal statement.

Poor quality and not delivered on time
Work completion too about 10 days or more, and the quality of work is not up to a satisfactory level. I end up spending hours trying to rewrite, although I spent 30 minutes discussing and paying an additional consultation fee. Not a great experience or value for money.

Your case has been passed to me to investigate personally.
I note already that your order has not yet been completed and, when you received the most recent draft of your CV, you did tell your writer, "Thank you again for the excellent progress. I look forward to reviewing the next iteration."
I also note that you had your initial 30-minute Google Meet consultation with your writer on Tuesday December 9th and your writer delivered your first draft (which you described as "a strong starting point") on Saturday December 13th, four days later. For the production of a first draft, we do work to a 3-day turnaround average as standard but, obviously, this means some orders take a little less time and some take a little more. For someone with 20+ years of experience it tends to take a little longer than for, say, a recent graduate. (And for clients with specific deadlines, we do offer express services, and these options are highlighted during the 'checkout' process.)
I've had a look at your latest draft myself and would personally class it as excellent work - certainly a vast improvement on your original CV. (Your writer is one of our very best.)
