Absolutely great made us feel good

Ease of parking and good disabled access. Value for money, I brought a remington shavers and a head shaver both products worked perfectly and give great results.

The staff member who took our call at 7.30pm and organised for us to be able to collect a washing machine at 9am the next morning as we had time constraints.

We bought a replacement tumble dryer.I was able to check the options online easily before going into the shop.I did that as I wanted to look at the product directly and compare it.Sarah, the sales assistant was efficient, knowledgeable and had the right attitude for me I.e not pushy and gave me time to consider things.

I went to collect an order and this was really quick and easy and the staff member who served me was polite, friendly and professional.

Im extremely old and Ive been having interactions with various staff in this shop over this last week - all independent purchases. The service of all have been kind and knowledgeable. I hope to be back!

My television wasn't working despite changing batteries in the remote. I decided to go to curry's for advice as well as replacement. Replacement out of stock. Had to order one for me to pick up 2 days later.
In the meantime I had to wait several minutes for anyone to help. The advice given was it was cheaper to replace a remote than a television. I'd worked that out myself !!
Staff having problems with logging into gadgets to place order. We had to wander round store to find device which worked.
I was in shop for about half an hour.
Later I found I could have ordered remote online for a third of the price and free next day delivery.
I don't think any member of staff met my eye then or on picking up. They were too preoccupied with process showing no interest in customer.
Three stars is generous but I believe in in person shopping and that a little training on personal interaction with staff would make a big difference.

Ordering easy and delivery service great. Driver called to say he would be there in next half hour and then called after delivery and installation as my dad is elderly and he wanted to advise all had gone well.

Fast and efficient click & collect service, and the item purchased was good quality too.

Absolutely dreadful experience. Went online to order a range cooker, got to the checkout stage and I’d accepted uninstalling my old dual fuel range cooker, recycling it and installing the new dual fuel cooker. About to make payment and the system flags up can’t install on chosen date ( I hadn’t chosen one, but there was no option to select a date.
I then went online chat and the the crap AI system was about as much use as a chocolate fire guard!
So then it’s phone the call centre to arrange payment etc: After having to jump through Olympic standard hoops to get to the right person, I was assisted by an agent with proper attitude who eventually took my payment after Gestapo interriotaion(Apple Pay was the only option offered) but then said I’d have to call another number to arrange the uninstall, recycle old cooker and install new cooker. Overall experience with this agent was not a pleasant experience.
That was just the beginning of a stressful next 3 hours ! I then called the 0800 0234701 number supplied by the arsey agent and was connected to a very noisy call centre which I believe was in an Asian country as everybody was speaking in a foreign language and the call handler didn’t even speak to me, almost like he was having a chat with someone else. When I asked if he could speak to me in English, he terminated my call.
It’s now 1730 and I’ve been trying to place what should have been a simple process for 90 minutes!
I then tried calling the Nottingham store and after jumping through more hoops, the recorded message said the store was now closed, internet Curry’s website said open until 2000.
More research online for a contact number in the UK, and dialed 0800 023 4701. Even more hoops to jump through, and eventually spoke to another agent in another very noisy call centre who couldn’t help me and transferred me to someone else. This next agent also had attitude and told me I needed to go back to store where I made the purchase as when I raised my concerns that I felt like a victim of scam. I explained that it was an over the phone purchase and he then transferred me to another agent who also had attitude and didn’t seem at all bothered about my concerns! He then transferred me another agent, this one was apologetic and when I asked for a refund he tried to process the refund, but one of the previous agents had not closed out of the order so he couldn’t proceed and said he was taking full ownership of my issue and promised to call me back at spot on 1900 to confirm the refund had been processed. I waited until 1945 and had not received a call, so I called back, more hoops to jump through and the at first polite agent in the noisy call centre cancelled the order and told me I’d have to wait 3 to 5 working for the refund to be returned. I wasn’t happy with that and said it’s funny you take my payment immediately but the make me wait 5 days to get MY MONEY BACK! She then hung up the call on me without saying anything further.
As an OAP and an Armed Forces veteran, I feel I have not been fairly treated and feel very stressed over this experience. I’m am still not convinced I’ll get my £700+ money back.
I’ve worked in Professional call centres in the past and in the roles, I would definitely been dismissed for speaking to customers like your staff did to me.
Totally unprofessional call centre staff, I suggest

Fredrik Tønnesen, as a newly appointed CEO look into your call centres as a matter of urgency.
It is very unlikely that I will ever make future purchases from Curry’s/ Carphone Warehouse, and will actively share my experience on social media.
Overall experience regarding service and staff is appalling
